Bless Him: August Alsina Gets Emotional About Sister’s Death & Talks Relationship With Jada Pinkett-Smith [Video]

It’s been four years since August Alsina gave an official interview, and so much has gone on in the star’s life since then.  The Shade Room caught up with the “I Luv This” singer and he dished on everything fans have been wanting to know during his hiatus, including the status of his relationship with Jada Pinkett-Smith and how he’s been holding up since his sister’s death. Aug got emotional when asked how he’s been feeling: “I’m going through my process. I’m going through my journey. And I’m not looking for any sympathy because I know that God has me even when I feel that God doesn’t. Even when I’m talking to God in a rage and I can’t hear God responding to me. I’m just in a space where I know that there are certain things you can learn about God through suffering.” The tears continued to fall as he opened up about getting custody of his nieces after his sister’s death. “While I’m suffering, and while I’m watching my nieces suffer — who are my kids now— to hear them tell me ‘I want my mother and I want my father’. And them seeing me as a person who can always fix something for them. And this is a situation that I can’t fix. I just continue to walk by faith and not what I see. Because people are dying.” Fortunately, it looks like August is back in good spirits since the emotional interview. We’ve been praying asking for details on where we’re going..&God says “JUST START WALKiNG! &WHILE you are walking WITH ME I will fill you in on what I want you to do. Walk w/your feet, &listen in your HEART, &before you take the next step, I will give you the next command” pic.twitter.com/wFEbr5CaOP — August Alsina (@AugustAlsina) February 19, 2019 We’re rooting you, August! Prayers up for the young king.

Mike Sorrentino Reaches Out to Fellow Addicts in Emotional Video

It’s been five weeks since Mike Sorrentino reported to prison to begin serving an 8-month sentence on tax fraud charges. While Mike doesn’t deny that he’s guilty, his imprisonment is still a heartbreaking development for many, particularly given the ways in which he’s turned his life around over the course of the past two years. Fortunately, Mike recorded a wealth of video content before beginning his sentence, and his life, Lauren Pesce, is now releasing it gradually on the couple’s new YouTube channel, titled, of course, The Situations . The biggest of Mike’s many life changes has been putting his hard-partying past behind him. Sorrentino has been sober for almost three years, and admirably, he’s been using his experiences with addiction and recovery to help others beat their demons and step into the light. Mike Sorrentino: The Sober Situation In the video above, Mike opens up about his struggles and pays a holiday visit to a sober house. At the time the video was shot, Mike had already been sentenced and knew that he was just weeks away from beginning his sentence. So this wasn’t an attempt to butter up the sentencing judge — it’s just Mike trying to pay it forward as an expression of gratitude.  “I was known to be, ya know, one of the bigger partiers on Jersey Shore, so I had to think in my brain, ‘how was I going to contribute to the show if it even gets popular?’ You don’t even know if people are going to watch the show again,” Mike says about the recent Shore reboot. “So, I just said to myself ‘I’m going to have to continue to challenge myself in my recovery,’” he adds. “My base was two years sober, I had the sponsor, I had a good support system at home with my wife.” Asked about his plans for the future, Mike reveals that he’s not letting prison slow down his career momentum. “It’s all about mindset,” Mike says of his time behind bars. “I’m going to try to better myself by reading more, I’m going write a book.” He also reveals in the clip that a third season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation has already been filmed and will feature footage of his wedding to Lauren. “We’re so excited to have a second chance and we’re doing the most with it,” Sorrentino says at one point. Mike’s release date is currently set for September, but with good behavior, he could be bound for a halfway house in just 3-4 months. Something tells us the reformed Situation will have no trouble keeping his nose clean. Sandra Bullock Made Trevanté Rhodes Fall Out His Chair | Extra Butter

Here is the original post:

This weekend if you plan to Netflix and Chill you need to check out Bird Box starring Sandra Bullock, Trevanté Rhodes, Lil Rel, MGK, John Malkovich and more. It’s an ensemble cast who come together to take this suspense thriller to every level on the emotional roller coaster. The movie kicks off when a mysterious force infects the population, causes everyone who encounters it, to commit suicide. Quickly you find out that if you see it, you die. So in order to survive, you must avoid coming face to face with an entity because it takes the form of your worst fears. The movie centers around a group of survivors who are locked in a house. Through a series of flashbacks and time jumps you will follow a woman and her children dangerous journey through the woods and down a river to find the one place that may offer sanctuary. When I heard the story I just had to feature this movie for my #XillaMovieParty series and I had New York’s top influencers and celebrities in the building. Donna and Alex from Black Ink Crew, comedian TravQue, Yarisbeth and BET’s Hustle In Brooklyn Ivy Rivera were in the building to name a few. As guests enjoyed snacks and the comfortable seats of iPic Theaters and Hennessy cocktails after the screening while they got to wonder what they would have seen if they saw the entity. I also got to sit down with Trevante Rhodes and Sandra Bullock for a dope interview where they talked about filming this amazing film, Sandra and Trey also have a heart to heart conversation about how well Rhodes’ mother raised him. Along with talking about what they learned from kids. Sandra revealed that she had no idea what love really was. “I’m going to start crying… I had absolutely no idea wht Love was about but i have to leave it here because I’ll get all misty.” While Trevante agreed with Sandy but explained that being around children helped him identify a purity and honesty that exist in kids.
