 (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Turner) Tracy Morgan Humbled After Being Gifted Key To Brooklyn Comedian and “The Last O.G.” star Tracy Morgan was honored with the key to Brooklyn this weekend. Morgan was raised in Bed-Stuy and has given back to the community and was joined by his family and friends at the ceremony, which also fell on his 50th birthday.     Brooklyn borough president Eric Adams was at the ceremony thanked Morgan for his contributions to the community. “You tell everyone, there are only two types of Americans: Those who live in Brooklyn and those who wish they could,” Adams said. “When you hang out with him, you feel no different than hanging out with someone standing on the corner of Tompkins Avenue holding a Colt 45.”   (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Turner)   (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images for Turner) Morgan was choking up as he gave his acceptance speech. “This is for you, this ain’t for me,” he said as he was joined by friends and family. “I’m in service to you…. Email Submit During a recent interview with BBC News , we learned that she couldn’t wrap her head around what happened and still can’t today. SEE ALSO:  Tina Turner’s Son Dead From Apparent Suicide “I still don’t know what took him to the edge because at that stage he had said to me that he had never met a woman that he felt that way about,” she said. “He was bringing her to meet me [for] his birthday in August. He had decorated his apartment that I bought him years ago. He had gotten a new job with a prominent real estate company in California, [which] he was very happy with.” Page Six   reports: At the time of the death, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office  told Fox News  that Craig Turner died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Studio City, California. He was 59.  The 78-year-old music icon said in the interview that she suspects her son, who typically was a loner himself, suffered from loneliness before his death. Tina Turner Reveals That Her Husband Was The Donor For A Life-Saving Kidney Transplant

Benett/Dave Benett/Getty Images Tina Turner’s New Memoir Reveals Details Of Kidney Transplant Tina Turner‘s relationship with husband and musical partner Ike was very public, but after theirs ended in divorce, her story continued onto a different path.  In her upcoming memoir  My Love Story , the diva details what happened with her second chance at love, and how it literally saved her life in more ways than just romantically. In 1985, nearly a decade after she left Ike for the long haul, she met her current husband, Erwin Bach. By the early ’90s, the couple shared a home in Cologne, Germany, before his job required a move to Switzerland — where they reside today. Even though she turned down his first marriage proposal, they ended up tying the knot in 2013 after more than 26 years as a couple. Unfortunately for the newlyweds, Turner suffered a stroke only three short weeks after they got married. Shortly after healing from that, only a few years later in 2016, Tina Turner was diagnosed with intestinal cancer. Unpleasant side effects led Turner to choose homeopathic remedies for her illness, but unfortunately, this only caused her condition to get worse–and before long, she faced total kidney failure. In her memoir, Turner then reveals that Bach made the ultimate offering to his wife: he volunteered to donate a kidney. The operation took place in April 2017, and though it was largely a success, she still goes through her fair share of complications as her body tries to reject the new organ. “I lived through a hellish marriage that almost destroyed me, but I went on. I know that my medical adventure is far from over. But I’m still here — we’re still here, closer than we ever imagined.” She says in her memoir, according to PEOPLE . “I can look back and understand why my karma was the way it was. Good came out of bad. Joy came out of pain. And I have never been so completely happy as I am today.”

The Duggar Family: A Timeline of Endless Weddings

The Duggar family is constantly celebrating a new engagement and then, a short time after, a new wedding and marriage. And then children. The endless, endless stream of Duggar children. Part of that is ideology — the Duggars are diehard fundamentalists who believe in strictly controlling their children, even as adults. That means strict chastity and closely monitored courtships, which help motivate their kids to walk down the aisle without pausing to ask themselves what they want out of life. But this endless series of back-to-back weddings help to keep the Duggars relevant — or close enough. Let's take a look at how many of these Duggar kids have already been married off. Who's next? 1. First we have to start with … him Josh Duggar proposed to Anna on her birthday in 2008. They apparently followed all of the courtship rules, not even kissing until their wedding date. 2. Josh and Anna married, really testing the for-better-or-for-worse vow Josh and Anna got married on September 26, 2008. And, even after it became global knowledge that Josh had molested 5 young girls, including 4 of his young sisters, they remained married. Even after everyone learned that he had cheated on Anna, they remained married. She is a prisoner of the culture in which she was raised. 3. Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard Jill and Derick got engaged back in April of 2014. 4. Jill and Derick’s Wedding Jill and Derick got married on June 21 of 2014. That’s, what? A two-and-a-half month engagement? 5. Next up are Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Jessa and Ben (seen here AFTER their marriage — what do you take her for, some sort of scarlet woman?) got engaged on August 4 of 2014. though they had been courting for longer than Jill and Derick. 6. Jessa and Ben got married Jessa and Ben’s wedding was on November 1, 2014. And Jessa still hasn’t quieted down about it. View Slideshow

Tina Turner’s Oldest Son Commits Suicide

Terrible news today out of the music world: Tina Turner’s oldest son, Craig, was found dead at his home in Studio City, California at 12:58 p.m. this afternoon. He was 59 years old. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has confirmed this tragedy, telling multiple outlets that Craig was discovered with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities reportedly arrived at his residence just after noon and pronounced him dead just a short while later, at the scene. The aforementioned spokesperson told the press that a 911 call was placed, although it’s unclear just who made the call. Says the spokesperson in a little more detail: “The call was reported as a suicide, gun shot wound. The next of kin has been notified. There will be an autopsy done and there is an investigator at the scene.” Craig was born when Tina was 18 years old, prior to her up-and-down marriage Ike Turner. Once Tina and Ike were husband and wife, however, Ike adopted four-year old Craig. (His biological father was a saxophonist named Raymond Hill, who performed with Ike’s band.) This awful piece of news of comes as the legendary artist is making a rare trip outside her new home country of Switzerland to attend Paris Fashion Week events. Craig Turner worked in the real estate business in the San Fernando Valley. His mother is, simply put, one of the most successful and respected solo singers in history. She counts “What’s Love Got to Do With it” and “Proud Mary” among her best-known singles. Tina also starred in such movies as Mad Max: Thunderdome and Last Action Hero. Craig’s suicide, meanwhile, follows a sad rash of similar events around the entertainment world. Over the past few weeks alone, iconic fashiond designer Kate Spade has committed suicide, while beloved chef and author Anthony Bourdain has done the same. Both these stars took their own lives via hanging. Spade was 56 years old and Bourdain was 61. May they rest in peace and may Craig Turner rest in peace.
