Linda Collins-Smith Is Found Dead From Gunshot Wound An Arkansas politician met a tragic end, according to The Hill , and now authorities are searching for answers. Former Arkansas state Sen. Linda Collins-Smith (R) was reportedly found dead from a gunshot wound at her Pocahontas, Ark. place this week. Her former press secretary Ken Yang told KATV that Collins-Smith’s neighbors reportedly heard gunshots a day or two before officials found the body. It’s not certain how long the 57-year-old had been dead when her body was found, but sources say she was wrapped in some sort of blanket and her body started to decompose. The incident is being investigated as a murder, according to KATV. Randolph County Sheriff Kevin Bell said officials don’t believe the public is in danger, and the sheriff’s department is leading the investigation along with the Arkansas State Police. The Arkansas GOP sent condolences for Collins-Smith’s death on Twitter, saying she “was a passionate voice for her people and a close member of our Republican family. We are praying for her loved ones during this difficult time.” Today, we learned of the untimely death of former Senator Linda Collins Smith. Before that, she was apart of the state House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013. When she was first elected to the House, Collins-Smith identified as a Democrat, but she swapped to the Republican Party in the middle of her first term.

The couple allegedly ate the meat and contracted the bubonic plague passed away shortly after. A six-day quarantine was declared on May 1 in the Bayan Olgii province in Mongolia, which sits by the borders to both China and Russia. The reason for consuming the raw meat, you ask? It was reportedly supposed to bring good health and the rodent the two ate was a marmot, which has been known to carry the plague. It’s rare for the bubonic plague to show up in humans these days, but unless treated with antibiotics, it proves to be deadly, as it did in Europe and Asia centuries ago. 118 people were in direct contact with the couple, including tourists from Switzerland, Sweden, South Korea, and Kazakhstan. “After the quarantine [was announced] not many people, even locals, were in the streets for fear of catching the disease,” US Peace Corps volunteer Sebastian Pique said. Those who had interacted with the couple were treated with antibiotics for prophylaxis. Stats say the bubonic plague has a 30 to 60 percent fatality rate. The last time a case was reported in Mongolia was in 2017.

Source: Capelle.r / Getty Man Charged With Murdering Wife After Stabbing Her With Corn Rake A man in Iowa has been accused of fatally stabbing his own wife with a corn rake after learning she had a couple of secret affairs. 39-year-old Amy Mullis was found dead on November 10 at her farm, about four miles northwest of Earlville. Authorities initially said that the woman has been fatally injured in a fall, which came after her husband Todd Mullis told 911 that no one saw anything that happened. But this whole incident being an accident was ruled out in December, when an autopsy showed that the woman had six puncture wounds, and the manner of her death was thus listed as a homicide. Police have now formally charged Mullis with the murder of his wife. Investigators told People that the woman was concerned that her husband could kill her due to their marital problems. “You’ll know Todd did something to me,” she allegedly told one friend. Mullis initially told the police that their son is the one who found his wife impaled on the corn rake and that he removed it and started driving her to the hospital. According to the outlet, authorities learned that the couple, who had three children, had been experiencing marital problems after Amy was caught cheating with another man. In the lead-up to her death, their relationship went from bad to worse and they even stopped sharing the same bed. Delaware County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said the wife’s second lover was interviewed and said the woman was “scared to death” of him. “If he catches me, he might make me disappear,” she allegedly told him. Another clue that lead police toward charging Mullis is that he also allegedly researched the murder beforehand, searching for “organs in the body,” “killing unfaithful women” and “what happened to cheating spouses in historic Aztec tribes,” according to the police. Todd Mullis is currently being held on $5 million cash bail and faces life in prison.

Shad “Bow Wow” Moss and his GF had a ridiculous brawl after a night of partying, leaving them both behind bars. Leslie Holden (also known as Kiyomi Leslie), Bow Wow’s longtime on-and-off again girlfriend, called Atlanta Police Department around 4 am Saturday to report Bow Wow for assault . According to TMZ, she told officers that “the whole fight started when they got home from a party,” and claimed that Bow Wow was pissed when he saw her talking with another guy. In the police report, Leslie says Bow Wow “hit her in the head, pulled her by the hair, dragged her from her bedroom and told her to get the hell out.” Bow Wow did admit to being upset about the other guy and told the cops that she had “disrespected him” by being all over another “man’s body.” He also says that Leslie called him a “bitch ass n***a” when he brought up her behavior at the party. He reportedly told her to get out and put her bags by the door. And that is when things began to spiral… Leslie reacted to Bow Wow’s “kick out” by grabbing a floor lamp and throwing it at him. He says she missed with the lamp, but in his mugshot, you can visibly see deep scratches all over the rapper’s face. An officer shared that he did see a lamp on the ground when he entered the bedroom and he also noticed red marks on Leslie’s fingers, as well as broken fingernails. Busted? They were BOTH arrested and charged with “battery” following the incident. According to police records, the rapper was released on an $8,000 bond. We have no word on whether Leslie has been released yet. Police reported that there were “minor visible injuries” to both, and were unable to tell who the primary aggressor was. Bow Wow’s rep has since issued an in-depth statement describing Leslie as an “out of control intoxicated female” who “beat him with a lamp, bit him on his side, and spit on him while Bow Wow continually made efforts to avoid her.” In addition to the evidence of the scars on Bow Wow’s face and the marks on Leslie’s fingers, there were also two witnesses who backed up Bow Wow’s side of the story, as stated by Starcasm . Which the rep says, indicates “that Ms. Holden was simply out of control and was without a doubt the primary aggressor.” Both of their mugshots have been released and the rapper was the only one with visible damage. There is yet to be a statement made from Leslie or her rep. Their relationship was often documented on the WE TV’s reality show Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta . At the time of the altercation, it was believed that the two were not officially together, but “seeing each other again on the down-low,” says Starcasm . Can’t say they did a great job at keepin’ it on the DL. Now Bow Wows got some flashy scars to go along with an embarrassing and violent police report.
