Linda Collins-Smith Is Found Dead From Gunshot Wound An Arkansas politician met a tragic end, according to The Hill , and now authorities are searching for answers. Former Arkansas state Sen. Linda Collins-Smith (R) was reportedly found dead from a gunshot wound at her Pocahontas, Ark. place this week. Her former press secretary Ken Yang told KATV that Collins-Smith’s neighbors reportedly heard gunshots a day or two before officials found the body. It’s not certain how long the 57-year-old had been dead when her body was found, but sources say she was wrapped in some sort of blanket and her body started to decompose. The incident is being investigated as a murder, according to KATV. Randolph County Sheriff Kevin Bell said officials don’t believe the public is in danger, and the sheriff’s department is leading the investigation along with the Arkansas State Police. The Arkansas GOP sent condolences for Collins-Smith’s death on Twitter, saying she “was a passionate voice for her people and a close member of our Republican family. We are praying for her loved ones during this difficult time.” Today, we learned of the untimely death of former Senator Linda Collins Smith. Source: Prince Williams / Getty Clermont Twin To Serve One Year For Raiding Dead Man’s Bank Account The reality and social media star who admitted she stole about $20,000 from the bank account of a deceased man to fund her highflying social media lifestyle has started her sentence in connection with the case. Shannade Clermont, 25, turned herself in June 4 to the Dublin Federal Correctional Institute outside of Oakland, CA, according to public records obtained by BOSSIP. The prison is for about 1,200 female inmates deemed a low-security risk, and has a prison camp next door. Clermont admitted to financing her lifestyle in part with the debit card of a man she met on a “prostitution date,” attempting to spend some $20,000 in fraudulent charges like rent, designer clothing and electronics. A judge later blasted her for a “lack of character” before sentencing her to a year behind bars. Federal lockup records stated that her release date was “unknown.” Other famous inmates at FCI Dublin have included heiress Patty Hearst and Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss. Clermont’s mugshot hasn’t been made public because of privacy concerns, according to a spokesman for the Bureau of Prisons.

Clermont has until June 4 to turn herself into the low-security FCI Dublin, located 20 miles outside of Oakland, CA. With good behavior, Clermont can get a job at one of the several prison industries, like repairing postal service mail bags, sewing curtains or answering phones in a call center. After she’s processed, Clermont will be issued a khaki uniform and assigned to a unit staffed by a case manager, according to the prison handbook. And she better not get too chummy with her fellow inmates. Physical contact – even hand-holding – is banned, and breaking the rules could wind Clermont in “disciplinary segregation,” the prison handbook says. It’s a far cry from living the high life on Instagram with her twin sister, Shannon. Unfortunately, Clermont admitted to financing that lifestyle in part with the debit card of a man she met on a “prostitution date,” attempting to spend some $20,000 in fraudulent charges. The Yeezy model will join the ranks of celebs like the Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss and heiress Patty Hearst, who have served sentences out at the prison. Clermont was not yet in custody as of May 21, and her lawyer wrote the judge to ask that she be allowed to travel with sister Shannon for a paid appearance in Philadelphia over Memorial Day weekend, according to court records.

For decades, Liam Neeson has enjoyed a place as one of Hollywood’s most beloved and bankable stars. But the Taken star may have just done irreparable damage to his reputation with one appalling comment. Neeson has been on a promotional tour for his new film, Cold Pursuit , which — like most of his recent projects — finds the Irish actor on a bloody quest for revenge after one of his loved ones is victimized. The plot of the film prompted Neeson to reflect on a time when he had been driven mad by a thirst for vengeance in his real life. He recalled an instance that occurred in his youth, in which a close friend of his was raped. “God forbid you’ve ever had a member of your family hurt under criminal conditions,” Neeson told The Independent . “She handled the situation of the rape in the most extraordinary way,” he added. “But my immediate reaction was … I asked, did she know who it was? No. What color were they? She said it was a black person.” Neeson went on to shock fans by revealing that he fantasized about exacting some sort of race-based violence. “I went up and down areas with a cosh [bludgeon], hoping I’d be approached by somebody — I’m ashamed to say that … hoping some ‘black bastard’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could … kill him,” Neeson recalled. Neeson went on to reveal that he behaved in this fashion for “a week, maybe a week and a half … [My friend] would say, ‘Where are you going?’ and I would say, ‘I’m just going out for a walk.’ ‘What’s wrong?’ ‘No, no, nothing’s wrong.’ ” “It was horrible, horrible, when I think back, that I did that. And I’ve never admitted that, and I’m saying it to a journalist. God forbid,” he added. “It’s awful. But I did learn a lesson from it, when I eventually thought, ‘What the f—k are you doing?’ “ We think it’s safe to say the whole world was happier not knowing about Liam’s past tendencies toward violent racism — and yet at the same time, maybe it’s a good thing he foolishly shared this story with the world. It’s a reminder of the sad fact that even seemingly progressive-minded longtime public figures like Liam Neeson are capable of shocking bigotry. Starring in Schindler’s List is apparently no guarantee that a person never harbored race-based violent fantasies. The actions that Neeson describes here are unforgivable, but if there’s a mitigating circumstance to be found, it’s that he may have suffered some sort of trauma as a result of his friend’s rape. The Independent consulted with an expert in rape and trauma, who revealed that it’s not uncommon for loved ones of victims to lash out and project in the fashion Neeson described: “Often it is less obvious to the loved ones of survivors that they might actually need support in dealing with their emotions themselves, just like the survivors,” she told the paper. “They experience a secondary form of trauma, she explains. Some start thinking about what they could have done differently, and they may contemplate seeking retribution.” Obviously, none of that makes it okay that Neeson stalked the streets of Dublin hoping to bludgeon a black man, but at least it’s a step toward understanding how such thinking might be possible. Perhaps anticipating the backlash to his insane remarks, Neeson went on to reveal that he had been desensitized to violence “I knew a couple of guys that died on hunger strike, and I had acquaintances who were very caught up in the Troubles, and I understand that need for revenge, but it just leads to more revenge, to more killing and more killing, and Northern Ireland’s proof of that,” he said. “All this stuff that’s happening in the world, the violence, is proof of that. But that primal need, I understand.” Neeson and his reps have not commented on this story.

The couple continues with the specifics: “We welcomed her on January 23rd at 6:13 a.m.” So precious baby Eleanor was born on Wednesday morning. Then, of course, comes the stats. The statement reveals that Eleanor was born “weighing in at 6-lbs. 11-oz.” That may sound like a small weight if you come from a family of tall people, but that is well within the “average” range of baby weights. “This is such joyful and amazing moment for us,” the joyous statement continues. The couple gushes: “We have never felt this rewarded in our lives.” Awww! That is so sweet. “And,” the statement reads. “We are looking forward to our bright future as a family of three.” Little Eleanor is, as we mentioned, their first child. “Thank you so much to our fans,” the couple concludes. “For their continued support and love during our journey.” Elizabeth and Andrei appeared on 90 Day Fiance ‘s fifth season. As you may recall, Elizabeth had met Andrei while abroad. Still, her family had concerns. Andrei is Moldovan, as referenced in Elizabeth’s hilarious shirt above. She herself acknowledged that he had certain archaic views of gender roles within marriage. He came from a culture in which he expected to make the decisions. Her loved ones didn’t love hearing that. But it all worked out. Elizabeth and Andrei just celebrated their “meetaversary” on January 15. “3 years ago today this wonderful man and I met in Dublin for the first time,” Elizabeth wrote on Instagram. “Then,” she continued. “The rest was history……” It certianly was. Three years after first laying eyes upon each other, these two are married parents. That’s quite a glow up! 90 Day Fiance is an extremely popular reality series that regularly dominates its timeslot. Casting is perhaps the biggest key to the show’s success, and there’s more to it than simply finding the worst couples on the planet. For every Colt and Larissa, you need a couple with a few relationship hiccups — a couple for whom fans can really, truly root.
