On July 4, Amber Portwood was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly attacking her then-fiance, Andrew Glennon, with a machete. Amber has accepted a plea deal in order to avoid jail time, but she still denies that there was any sort of weapon involved in the attack. Now, however, YouTuber Katie Joy claims to have uncovered evidence that contradicts Portwood's claim. Throughout the ordeal, Joy has presented evidence of Amber's abuse that swayed the opinions of many fans – though it's worth noting that some of her claims have been called into question, and she has admitted that some of her content later proved to be inaccurate. With that knowledge, we'll leave it to you to determine what's going on here and just how egregious Amber's attack was. Take a look: [ Update : We've included new footage of Amber's alleged attack against Andrew. Trauma and abuse survivors should be warned it may have a triggering effect.] 1. Better Days Amber and Andrew’s romance was a whirlwind affair. She was engaged to someone else when they met on the set of Marriage Boot Camp. Two years later she had welcomed a child with Glennon, and the couple was planning a wedding. 2. A History of Violence Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before Amber was repeating the behaviors that had doomed her previous relationships. 3. Another Mugshot Amber and Andrew separated on July 4 after she was arrested for allegedly attacking him in the couple’s home. 4. Andrew’s Version Glennon told police that Amber flew into a rage because the family had arrived late for a local fireworks display earlier in the evening. He claims she attacked him while he was holding their son, James. 5. Providing Protection Andrew says he locked himself in a bedroom with James, and Amber attempted to break the door down. 6. A Desperate Act He also says she swallowed a large number of Klonopin tablets after stating that she planned to take her own life. She regurgitated the pills when he dialed 911. View Slideshow

For the past decade, we've watched Amber Portwood on MTV. Honestly, she really hasn't changed that much. She said ridiculously awful things to the people in her life then, and we've heard her do the same now — if anything, she's gotten worse. But somehow, someway, there are several Teen Mom fans who feel the need to defend Amber in the wake of her domestic violence arrest. And Andrew Glennon is not having it. 1. The Arrest Before July 5th, a lot of people thought that Amber’s relationship with Andrew was going OK. But then she got arrested for chasing him with a machete, and then people didn’t think that anymore. 2. So Crazy You’ve probably heard this story a billion times right now, but just in case you haven’t here we go — according to Andrew, Amber got upset because road work prevented them from getting to a fireworks display the evening before, and she went on a rampage for hours and hours. 3. Wow She beat him with a shoe — she admitted to that part, and police have photos of the bruises and scratches on his neck — and threatened to kill herself. She even allegedly took a handful of pills, but threw them back up when Andrew threatened to call 911. 4. Amber, No But things got even worse later, when she got so angry that she grabbed a machete she kept by her bed (we later learned that the machete is just one of the many, many weapons she keeps in her bedroom) and chased Andrew, who was holding baby James, into another room. Andrew held the door closed with his foot while he texted 911 to let them know that he felt his life and his son’s life were in danger. 5. Thank Goodness Amber was arrested and ultimately charged with three felonies — two counts of domestic violence and one count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. 6. Yay, Andrew Andrew also filed for custody of James. As of now, he’s got it, with Amber only having supervised visitation occasionally. View Slideshow
Jonathan Van Ness, one of the stars of Queer Eye on Netflix, has made a pair of startling revelations. Ahead of the release of his memoir, “Over the Top, which hits shelves September 24, Van Ness just opened up to The New York Times about his health and history of addiction. “I’ve had nightmares every night for the past three months because I’m scared to be this vulnerable with people,” the fashion and beauty guru told the publication, adding: “There are issues that need to be talked about.” In the aforementioned upcoming biographies, one of the revelations Van Ness shares is that he tested positive for HIV when he was 25, after fainting while working on a client’s hair. “That day was just as devastating as you would think it would be,” he writes in the book, according to the newspaper. Van Ness went on to say he thinks of himself a proud “member of the beautiful HIV-positive community” and hopes that his transparency surrounding the subject will shut down typical misconceptions. “When Queer Eye came out, it was really difficult because I was like, ‘Do I want to talk about my status?’” he told the newspaper, noting that the political climate swayed his decision. “I do feel the need to talk about this,” he added. This is not all the star confesses, however. He also opens up in his memoir about having been abused by an older boy at a young age, which “planted the seed for other self-destructive behaviors,” according to the this same newspaper feature. “For a lot of people who are survivors of sexual assault at a young age, we have a lot of compounded trauma,” he explained to the newspaper. As a young teenager, Van Ness recalled how he would meet up with older men and that, after using up his money on drugs in college, he “advertised sex for money on Gay.com.” By the time he was in his early 20s, Van Ness was using methamphetamine and ended up going to rehab twice, the publication writes. Thankfully, however, Van Ness says he has not used drugs of any sort in years. Queer Eye is a spinoff of Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. It premiered in February of 2018 and has since amassed a very large following. “These are all difficult subjects to talk about on a makeover show about hair and makeup,” Van Ness adds. “That doesn’t mean Queer Eye is less valid, but I want people to realize you’re never too broken to be fixed.” Elsewhere in this interview, Van Ness addresses the pressure to live out his Queer Eye persona when meeting fans in real life. “If you’re having a terrible moment or in the middle of a conversation about something serious, people don’t care,” he explained. “They want their bubbly J.V.N. and to get that major selfie.” However, he concluded on a positive note: “I want people to realize you’re never too broken to be fixed.”
Source: Don Juan Moore / Getty Antonio Brown , the newly signed wide receiver to the New England Patriots, has been accused of sexual assault on three separate occasions by his former trainer Britney Taylor . Taylor filed the federal lawsuit on Tuesday and accused Brown of forcibly kissing her on one occasion in 2017 then masturbating near her during another encounter in 2017 while she was helping him train for the upcoming NFL season. The next year, she accused Brown of raping her on May 20, 2018. Brown’s lawyer, Darren Heitner, released a statement saying his client had a “consensual personal relationship” with Taylor and “denies each and every allegation in the lawsuit.” Heitner continued, “He will pursue all legal remedies to not only clear his name, but to also protect other professional athletes against false allegations.” According to the lawsuit, Taylor first met Brown at Central Michigan University in 2010 through the Fellowship for Christian Athletes, where they became Bible study partners. Taylor was a freshman gymnast, while Brown was a junior football player. Taylor says the two of them reconnected in 2017 when Brown requested that she train him. She flew to Pittsburgh and Florida to meet him for the training session, reads the complaint. In June 2017, Taylor was staying at Brown’s home for a session and while she was in the bathroom, Brown walked in exposed, says the lawsuit. He then “grabbed and kissed her without her consent,” according to the lawsuit, and Taylor “pushed him away and immediately left the room.” In another incident in 2017, the suit says Brown and Taylor were watching a church service on Taylor’s iPad at Brown’s Miami home. Brown then allegedly masturbated behind Taylor and ejaculated on her back. Afterwards, the lawsuit claims “in astonishingly profane and angry text messages, Brown bragged about the incident to her.” The suit says Taylor cut contact with Brown after this. However, according to The Boston Globe , Brown’s lawyer argues that Taylor actually approached Brown again is 2017 to ask him to invest $1.6 million in her business project. Heitner continues, “ Mr. Brown was not informed by his accuser that she had just been levied with a $30,000 IRS tax lien or that $300,000 of the $1.6 million so-called ‘investment’ was to be used to purchase property already owned by the accuser and her mother. When Mr. Brown refused to make the $1.6 million ‘investment,’ the accuser supposedly cut off communications with Mr. Brown.” Though both sides have differing accounts on why they cut ties, the two eventually reconnected in 2018. Taylor’s suite says, “Brown reached out to Ms. Taylor, expressing contrition, begging forgiveness and pleading with her to train him again. Ms. Taylor was hesitant but eventually agreed, swayed by his assurance that he would cease any sexual advances.” However, Taylor argues that Brown did not meet their terms. The suit claims that Taylor was visiting Brown in the Miami area on May 20, 2018 when he pinned her down onto a bed, shoved her face into the mattress and forcibly raped her. The suit says Taylor tried to resist the assault but “Brown was too strong and physically overpowered her.” The suite says Taylor screamed and cried the whole time while repeatedly shouting “no” and “stop.” “Brown’s assaults and rape have severely traumatized Ms. Taylor. Ms. Taylor has suffered near-daily panic attacks and suicidal ideations,” says the lawsuit. The Patriots released a statement on Tuesday night saying that the NFL will be investigating the allegations. “We are aware of the civil lawsuit that was filed earlier today against Antonio Brown, as well as the response by Antonio’s representatives,” the statement said. “We take these allegations very seriously. Under no circumstance does this organization condone sexual violence or assault.” Meanwhile, in a statement released by her lawyer, Taylor explained, “As a rape victim of Antonio Brown, deciding to speak out has been an incredibly difficult decision. I have found strength in my faith, my family, and from the accounts of other survivors of sexual assault.” At one point, the suit says Taylor sought counseling and she even took a polygraph test conducted by one of the country’s leading examiners, who used to lead the FBI’s polygraph program. According to the lawsuit, the examination confirmed that Taylor’s accounts were “completely truthful” regarding the alleged 2018 rape and 2017 ejaculation assault. The suit says Taylor opened up her own training center in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee back in 2016. She continues to train girls there till this day.

Paris Jackson had yet to respond to 50’s lewd and unfounded allegations as of Saturday morning. In 1993, Michael Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy named Jordan Chandler. In January of 1994, he reportedly settled for $23 million. The accuser’s father committed suicide in 2009, five months after the singer died. Chandler reportedly has never come forward about the allegations and supposedly lives outside of the country. In 2017, when Wade Robson, a choreographer who is featured in “Leaving Neverland,” accused Michael Jackson of sexual assault—even though he’d said in the past the singer didn’t assault him. In 2003, Michael Jackson was charged with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent to a 13-year-old boy. He was ultimately acquitted of all charges. Robson testified at the 2003 trial, but James Safechuck , the other person featured in “Leaving Neverland,” did not. Many people have maintained the documentary is untrue, including Brett Barnes , who said he knew Michael Jackson when he was child. According to TMZ , the film “implies Jackson molested him as a boy. As for why Barnes thinks this … Wade Robson — one of the singer’s well-known alleged victims — claims in the doc, Barnes ‘replaced him.’ The film then shows Michael and Brett together on tour. Thus, the insinuation.” Barnes testified at Michael Jackson’s criminal trial in 2005 and said he was never assaulted by him. He also tweeted this in January. Not only do we have to deal with these lies, but we’ve also got to deal with people perpetuating these lies. The fact that they fail to do the small amount of research it takes to prove these are lies, by choice or not, makes it even worse. — Brett Barnes (@IAmBrettBarnes) January 30, 2019 Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges. Duggar fans and critics alike have long suspected that Jim Bob forces his sons to work for him to maintain a measure of control over them. This time, at least, those sons are going to work for what looks like a good cause. Several of the Duggar men are in the Bahamas, preparing to provide disaster relief after Dorian. But this may be more controversial than intended. Joy-Anna Duggar, fresh off of being shamed for how she holds hands , took to Instagram to give fans a major update. “Austin just arrived down in the Bahamas with @mediccorps,” she revealed. Joy-Anna shared a Mediccorps photo of an array of Duggars. She explained: “They will be some of the first on scene to help with disaster relief after Hurricane Dorian.” You can see their photo below: Joy-Anna then asked a favor of her fans and followers. “Please pray for all of the people who have been affected by this terrible hurricane,” she implored them. “And,” she asked, won’t they please pray also for the “safety for our medic team.” She wants her husband to come home safe, naturally. “To find out how you can pray or support,” Joy-Anna concluded. “Please follow @mediccorps or click on the link in my bio.” So which Duggars headed down south, exactly? Obviously, Austin was one of them. But so were John David, Jason, and James. Interesting enough, it looks like Jana also headed down, though so far it looks like she’s been tasked with taking photos. The Duggars are among familiars faces who aren’t family. Both Lawson and Nathan of Bringing Up Bates are also volunteering with Mediccorps. A lot of fans instantly had questions about what exactly makes these dudes qualified to provide emergency relief. Abbie Duggar is actually a registered nurse, but she did not accompany John David on the flight south. There’s a very good reason for that — she’s pregnant. With a due date this winter, she doesn’t need to be traipsing off to disaster zones, even with the best intentions. We’ll get into the concerns that people have about the people who are going in just a moment. The estimated cost of this “short-term rescue mission” by Mediccorps is about $20,000. In general, people in developing countries benefit less from someone traveling to them than they would if one simply sent them the money for the trip. It’s unclear if that is true for disaster relief or if feet on the ground do more good. Regardless, the Mediccorps site claims that they can provide helicopter rescue and medical transport and deploy first-responders. Above all else, Mediccorps is a devoutly Christian organization and their statements and reading material emphasizing faith in Jesus. People have serious concerns about the Duggar boys not necessarily being prepared to help people in need beyond giving them transportation. (There has been discourse back and forth about who may actually be qualified to provide aid) The family — well, Jim Bob — is also accused of sending them on this trip for publicity for their failing reality careers. Many have concerns that Mediccorp is more interested in preaching to survivors than anything else. Rescuing people is well and good, but most would say that rescuing them with an ulterior motive isn’t a great thing to do. View Slideshow: Jana Duggar: REAL Reason She’s Still Single Revealed?!

The Sexual Harassment though reported directly to the Showrunner/EP remained undocumented and was not reported to HR as promised. This meeting included the Showrunner and two other producers as well as my agent and SAG-AFTRA Union Rep. It was clear to all present in the meeting that the Showrunner had not shared my reports with the any of the producers. After my initial report of sexual harassment, I was assured that Grosse would be fired. I was also asked to film with him the very next day as a courtesy to the script, even though we had not begun filming the episode yet. Grosse reappeared on our call sheet at the end of the season, I was even written in scenes with him. I asked the Showrunner about this and he admitted to me that the Grosse had not been fired nor had he gotten HR involved. I was asked to return this season, and promised that “everything was handled.” The investigation hadn’t even begun and Season 2 had already started filming. I turned it down and I walked. She saw acting as a way to explore all the different sides of herself, but she was forced to draw the line there as well. “I just always like to do make believe as a kid it made me feel like I could express myself by being all these different people because I would say I’m multifaceted.” Sadly, the roles offered to the young aspiring actress who saw herself “Al Pacino but a Black woman,” were not multifaceted. View this post on Instagram I genuinely remember when I used to be soo terrified to wear anything remotely flattering especially with me being “so developed” at a “young age” (despite developing being a normal thing that we just sexualize especially for young girls and young black girls at that but that’s a topic for a different day) in fear a “street harasser” aka a male identified dust that would yell out something to embarrass me or come up to “talk” to me and it eventually turn into something threatening, literally I wanted to revert inward in shame until one day I literally decided I was going to take back my power because wether I was “nice” or not, answered them or didn’t ,they were going to do what they were going to do anyways…… be a harmful dust. So I got my self defense armory up n wether I have an embarrassing snappy comeback to say or I decide it’s not worth my time, I keep my confidence up and not allow anyone to dictate how I feel about me. So you can catch me outside on these bk,nyc streets literally doing me being fly and looking at these niggas like “who birth u?” Regardless of my reply Team: Photographer: @lydiahudgens Stylist: @littlelimedress Mua: @makeupbyslater #statemgmt #curve #blackfeminist #growingupagirl #growingupinbrooklyn A post shared by ARIEL A. They were always like the sassy friend or just somebody who was like ‘mm mm’ and I didn’t want to do that.” Modeling presented itself as a way to increase representation while soothing her creative itch. “If people see more people like me maybe there will be more roles for people like me,” she reasoned. “I know that I’m light skinned and I know my privileges but I also know the representation of me doing like work with certain brands with my afro and me being a size 18 and being Black and tall from a certain type of class and background. When I was growing up I didn’t think anything was for me,” she said excitedly. I was like there’s no way you know that’s not something they would do.” Part of why she thought that way was the unlevel playing field she entered when starting to model. A quick study she swiftly picked up on the fact that the most successful girls at her first agency were the ones with a preexisting financial advantage. I really didn’t know there was a whole industry of plus-size women so when I got into modeling, I thought that everybody who was in my agency or whatever agency was really just grinding and you figuring thing out. As I started knowing more and learning more about the industry, I found out a lot a lot of women who come into the industry tend to have a good background already. They’re so successful because they’re able to do all the shoots. They’re able to just travel to these events or pay to get into these events where certain people are. Whereas me I’m like ‘I hope you see my book that I just spent a grip on’. I’m over on Instagram posting pictures of me like ‘I hope this is enough.’ So, like it’s hard…it really is.” “We weren’t necessarily poor poor but we were like poor. My mom did her best to afford us things and we did have certain things but sometimes we only ate peanut butter crackers and ramen noodles sometimes we couldn’t put the heat on,” she recalled. We eventually got a house which was great but because when you get a house you spend all your money trying to buy this American dream so you eat the same thing every day or you end up with no furniture or like your bed is on the floor. It was really difficult growing up in that environment. So, yea I didn’t think most things were for me I wanted those things I always wanted better things. I wanted to have good things, but I knew what it cost, and I didn’t think it was possible for me.” It didn’t help that her rail thin mother who reportedly had her own modeling career in her younger years wasn’t exactly supportive. “My mom came from like a generation where it was if somebody doesn’t come up to you and like discover you then you’re not it.” View this post on Instagram I’m waiting on holiday vacation desperately but looking fine asf Wearing @byashleystewart Mua: @redcarpetfaces #curvygirlbyashley #visiblyplus #sexywhilefat #visiblyplussize #visiblyblack #curvygirl #holidayseason #countdowntochristmas A post shared by ARIEL A. Source: Boston Globe / Getty Parkland Shooting Survivor’s Harvard Acceptance Rescinded Over Racism Consequences and repercussions , ladies and gentlemen. THAT is the name of the game. The internet is literally flooded with white kids saying “ni**er” and many of them probably won’t suffer any of the aforementioned results for their actions, but today at least on of them will. According to a story in the NYTimes , a student who survived the Parkland massacre last year will no longer be allowed to attend Havard in the fall after the school became aware of his idea of s#!ts and giggles. 18-year-old Kyle Kashuv posted the following thread on Twitter: 7/ Harvard decided to rescind my admission with the following letter. pic.twitter.com/P3bLkF3hHn — Kyle Kashuv (@KyleKashuv) June 17, 2019 All that begging and pleading ended with… 7/ Harvard decided to rescind my admission with the following letter. pic.twitter.com/P3bLkF3hHn — Kyle Kashuv (@KyleKashuv) June 17, 2019 Kyle even had the nerve to be righteously indignant about the university’s decision! 10/ Harvard deciding that someone can’t grow, especially after a life-altering event like the shooting, is deeply concerning. If any institution should understand growth, it’s Harvard, which is looked to as the pinnacle of higher education despite its checkered past. — Kyle Kashuv (@KyleKashuv) June 17, 2019 He ACTUALLY tried to use the shooting as cover for his racist BS. The whiteness is blinding. Because of Kyle’s slurry shenanigans, “n-word” is currently trending in America because of the fools who have tied capes to their thumbs in his defense. Let us say, in our most sincere tone, f**k dem kids.
