Mike Sorrentino Denies Steroid Use: I’m All Natural, Baby!

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino would like to make something abudantly clear: He is no Alex Rodriguez. By this, the long-time Jersey Shore star does not mean he could never bed Jennifer Lopez because, hey, one never knows. Instead, what Sorrentino means is that he has never used performance-enhancing drugs. (Rodriguez, formerly considered in the discussion for greatest baseball player of all-time, was busted for steroid use on multiple occasions.) How did this topic even come up? Why did Sorrentino feel a need to address it? Partly because the guy is absolutely ripped. Just look at that image above. But also because the official Jersey Shore Instagram account recently posted a photo of Hugh Jackman — who ain’t no slouch in the muscle department himself —  posing with Angelina Pivarnick and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. One individual went ahead and commented on the post that they suspected Sorrentino used steroids to get his body back in shape after  he spent many months in prison for tax evasion . The MTV personality then took to the comments section to set the record straight. “I am flattered you think I am on performance enhancing substance but I am not,” Sorrentino wrote. He continued to remain calm and proceeded to explain his, well, situation: “I am on probation and get tested biweekly for illegal substances. What you see is hard work, determination, proper diet, exercise, muscle memory, intermittent fasting, prison and genetics. “You should try it sometime!! People love to throw shade on what shines. Stay in your own lane and run your own race cuz!! “Do you even lift !? #clapbackseason.” The reality TV star revealed his new muscular figure in September after spending eight months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight later that same month, Mike detailed how he shed more than 35 pounds while behind bars, using that time to get in amazing shape. What else is there to do in the clink, right? “I went to sleep every night at 10 p.m. I woke up every morning at 7 a.m. and did fasted cardio for about an hour,” he said, adding: “My window of intermittent fasting was between 16 and 17 hours on the weekdays, and 18 and 19 hours on the weekends. I had to continually challenge myself, whether it was in the gym and/or diet.” Sorrentino and his wife recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary . They ate at The Butcher’s Block in Long Branch, New Jersey, on November 1 in honor of the occasion; where, we can only assume, Mike scarfed down a whole lot of protein. So, yes, we believe that Sorrentino has come by his physique naturally. But co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro on the other hand? Based on his body and his behavior (see below)? Let’s just say… no comment. Mike Sorrentino: Making Enemies Behind Bars!

Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is clearly not a workaholic, so his prison update does not come as a huge surprise. Rather it just assures us that Mike hasn’t lost too much touch with reality and is successfully maintaining his lazy lifestyle from behind bars.  According to InTouch Weekly , a strangely named blogger Larry Noodles says Mike is a “total slacker.” Larry used to be an inmate at the New York prison where Mike is currently chilling confined.  “It doesn’t sound like he’s doing any work,” the blogger has heard from other sources.  “Because he has money he’s able to pay people to do things for him, such as laundry which you can pay someone to do $20-$30 a week, or clean his bunk area.” The Sitch began his 8-month prison sentence for tax fraud on January 15 and it sounds like he’s already got the system figured out.  He seems to have a “pretty comfortable set up going during his stay,” says Larry’s sources. “They treat a wealthy guy differently. Nobody takes care of a short-term guy without money – they want something out of it.” You know, in case they wanna swing by the jail Starbucks for an afternoon tea. “They’re not going to talk to you unless you have the money,” the blogger confirmed.  “You can help someone and then have friends/relatives put money into someone’s commissary deposit.”  However, most inmates appear to be resentful of The Situation’s wealth.  “I know this because they wouldn’t be talking about him to the outside,” Larry says.  “People who talk about other inmates to outsiders are known as “rats” and you don’t really do that unless you don’t like someone. It travels back to the prison and you can get yourself in trouble.” Yikes.  So what does the former reality star do to waste his wretched days away behind bars?  Evidently, he spends it watching TV and working out.  “He had to have made friends to use the gym because every hour is claimed by groups of guys since it’s small,” shared the blogger.  Also adding that “the first month is the roughest. Some new guys get into trouble because it’s an adjustment phase.”  InTouch reported that the star also hired a fellow inmate to be his personal chef .  “Mike has befriended an inmate who happens to be a really good cook,” said Federal Prison Consultant Dan Wise. “He gives the man cash for commissary, and has him buy food for him almost daily.” Laundry, gym use AND personal meals?  Doesn’t sound like a bad “situation” to me.  View Slideshow: Mike Sorrentino in Prison: Star’s Sad Farewell to Freedom, New Life Behind Bars, Conjugal Visit “Situation” Revealed [UPDATED]

NeNe Leakes Flips Out, Attacks Camera Crew on The Real Housewives of Atlanta

While there's never any shortage of drama on The Real Housewives of Atlanta , this is a new one. New footage hints at NeNe Leakes flipping out, screaming, and even going after the camera crew. An accompanying report says that the meltdown was so much worse than the footage revealed. The Real Housewives of Atlanta has a new trailer that teases the rest of the season. After a lot of laughs and fun, things turn serious. NeNe can be seen breaking down into tears, in part over Gregg's cancer diagnosis . She also gets into what can best be described as a screaming match with Marlo Hampton. Trailers can be (deliberately) misleading, but it looked like NeNe threatened Marlo. “Let’s be clear b–ch,” NeNe can be heard yelling. “I will f–k you up.” And things from there only escalated. RadarOnline   reports on the details of NeNe's epic meltdown. “NeNe completely lost it that day,” an insider reveals. And there was more than just what we saw in the video. “She was so mad and so out of control,” the source adds. The insider continues: “that she dragged the camera crew out of her house.” What?! We saw a half-second of NeNe appearing to attack, or at least tug on, camera people. But apparently she booted them out of the house in a fit of fury. “NeNe made the whole crew leave,” the source says. The insider said that she banished “the camera guys and the producers.” “She threw them out,” adds the source. Elsewhere in the trailer, we see NeNe trash-talking Eva Marcille and Eva's home. RadarOnline 's inside source elaborates on that. “NeNe and Eva had an epic fight,” the insider reports. The source semi-praises: “Eva really knows how to bring the drama.” That really goes with the territory of being a reality star — especially a Real Housewife. People do not always respond well or with dignity to stress, and cameras can be a contributor to anxiety. It may be that it all became too much for NeNe, and she just snapped. We are reminded of Marguerite Perrin, the infamous “God Warrior” from Trading Spouses . After days and days of culture shock as she lived in a household with different beliefs than her own, she flipped out. She delivered a meme-worthy rant and drove the camera people from her home. Is this like what happened to NeNe? It's possible that NeNe was emotionally overwhelmed. But it's also possible that NeNe dialed up the drama in true Fake Housewives fashion. She doesn't make her massive salary purely because her facial expressions are intensely meme-worthy. (That's probably part of it, though) She knows how and when to bring explosive drama and she's developed a sense for when a feud can be blown out of proportion. At least, we hope that this is the case. We'd hate to think that NeNe had really lost her entire mind.

Mike Sorrentino Reaches Out to Fellow Addicts in Emotional Video

It’s been five weeks since Mike Sorrentino reported to prison to begin serving an 8-month sentence on tax fraud charges. While Mike doesn’t deny that he’s guilty, his imprisonment is still a heartbreaking development for many, particularly given the ways in which he’s turned his life around over the course of the past two years. Fortunately, Mike recorded a wealth of video content before beginning his sentence, and his life, Lauren Pesce, is now releasing it gradually on the couple’s new YouTube channel, titled, of course, The Situations . The biggest of Mike’s many life changes has been putting his hard-partying past behind him. Sorrentino has been sober for almost three years, and admirably, he’s been using his experiences with addiction and recovery to help others beat their demons and step into the light. Mike Sorrentino: The Sober Situation In the video above, Mike opens up about his struggles and pays a holiday visit to a sober house. At the time the video was shot, Mike had already been sentenced and knew that he was just weeks away from beginning his sentence. So this wasn’t an attempt to butter up the sentencing judge — it’s just Mike trying to pay it forward as an expression of gratitude.  “I was known to be, ya know, one of the bigger partiers on Jersey Shore, so I had to think in my brain, ‘how was I going to contribute to the show if it even gets popular?’ You don’t even know if people are going to watch the show again,” Mike says about the recent Shore reboot. “So, I just said to myself ‘I’m going to have to continue to challenge myself in my recovery,’” he adds. “My base was two years sober, I had the sponsor, I had a good support system at home with my wife.” Asked about his plans for the future, Mike reveals that he’s not letting prison slow down his career momentum. “It’s all about mindset,” Mike says of his time behind bars. “I’m going to try to better myself by reading more, I’m going write a book.” He also reveals in the clip that a third season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation has already been filmed and will feature footage of his wedding to Lauren. “We’re so excited to have a second chance and we’re doing the most with it,” Sorrentino says at one point. Mike’s release date is currently set for September, but with good behavior, he could be bound for a halfway house in just 3-4 months. Something tells us the reformed Situation will have no trouble keeping his nose clean. Leida Margaretha: 90 Day Fiance Villain Accused of Violent Attack

Leida Margaretha may have been the most hated cast member of her 90 Day Fiance season, which is quite the accomplishment. During the Tell All Part 2 , Leida’s conflict with Eric Rosenbrook’s daughter took center stage. But now her former sister-in-law has come forward to accuse Leida of a brutal violent attack. Leida Margaretha has a young son, Alessandro, from a previous relationship. Alessandro’s father is a man named Daniel, and Daniel’s sister is a woman named Amelia. (Amelia is still Alessandro’s aunt) She says that Leida’s toxic behavior began long, long before she ever became a reality star. Amelia went on social media and claimed that Leida attacked her when they were still sisters-in-law. And Leida was apparently being investigated by the police for this particular attack. To no one’s surprise, this apparently began with an argument between Leida and Daniel. After the bickering, Leida wanted Amelia to return with her to her parents’ house — but Amelia did not want to. “The next morning she was mad at me and destroy all me belongings,” Amelia says. She explains that Leida felt entitled to do so “because she thinks all my belongings is belong to her.” Amelia accuses Leida of stealing money from her and of threatening to ruin Daniel’s business, financed by her wealthy family, if they broke up. Beware, folks, because this is where the details turn violent. Amelia says that Leida has “anger issues” that drove her to track Amelia down when she was staying at her aunt’s house. She says that Leida arrived uninvited and was “screaming because I talk back to her.” Leida was allegedly “really mad” and “hit me and punch me in my face and my head at the same time.” Amelia also says that Leida kicked her during this encounter. She notes that, during the assault, Leida allegedly shouted “you should die!!” Obviously, a physical attack is the sort of thing where police get involved. Amelia says that she did press charges — initially. But Leida allegedly went to great lengths to “manipulate me to drop the case,” Amelia says. And, eventually, it worked. Amelia blames herself for dropping the charges, lamenting that she was “stupid and innocent.” There are a lot of violent, manipulative people in this world. It is never the victim’s fault. Amelia had much more to say about Leida, including accusing her of using expensive gifts to “blackmail” her own friends. At times, she would allegedly give someone a gift and then threaten to take it back if they displeased her. Amelia also says that Leida would surprise people with gifts, like a concert ticket to see Katy Perry, and later claim that the person begged for it. That also sounds nasty and toxic … and there’s more. Amelia says that Leida had very specifically banged on her door, screamed at her, and invaded her privacy over having a “messy room.” Does this sound familiar to anyone else? It should. Messiness was Leida’s exact issue with Eric’s teenage daughter, Tasha, whom she forced out of her own home. Leida’s own castmates were horrified and shocked by Leida’s treatment of Tasha. The only thing worse to them, some of whom are parents themselves, was the way that Eric seemed to accept Leida’s behavior. He admitted that he knew that Leida had called his own daughter a “bitch.” He didn’t seem to care. He also caved to Leida’s emotional blackmail and banned his own daughter from her apartment. As of the Tell All’s filming, he and Tasha have no relationship, and he sounds perfectly happy with that. Maybe he and Leida deserve each other. Eric has seen these accusations against Leida — taking aim at Soap Dirt for covering these same social media posts. He then tells them their business, insisting that they should hear both sides if they wish to be taken seriously. Our take is that Eric is the last person to lecture people on taking people seriously. Also, Soap Dirt and other outlets are just reporting Amelia’s accusations, the same as we are. If Eric wants to share Leida’s side of the alleged violent attack, he is free to do that. View Slideshow: 90 Day Fiance: Twitter Reacts to the Tell All

Mike Sorrentino: Prison Release Date FINALLY Revealed!

As you’ve likely heard by now, Mike Sorrentino began his prison sentence earlier this week. Back in January of 2018,  Sorrentino pled guilty to charges that he had failed to pay taxes on more than $9 million in earnings.  Sorrentino was sentenced to eight months behind bars, and today, Radar Online has confirmed that his release date is scheduled for September 13 of this year. Of course, prison release dates are rarely set in stone, particularly when the inmate in question is a celebrity who seems to have truly dedicated himself to rehabilitation and self-improvement in the months prior to his sentence. Federal prison consultant Dan Wise confirms that The Sitch will likely be sprung well ahead of schedule. But that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be permitted to head straight home: “On such a short sentence of 8 months they will send him to a halfway house for two to three months at the end,” Wise claims . “Because of who he is, he may even get home confinement.” Yes, Mike is likely to serve a shorter sentence largely because he’s famous. That’s not to say that he’s receiving preferential treatment because of his celebrity status (although that could certainly be the case). The reasons why a parole board might prefer to grant Sorrentino an early release have more to do with the fact that celebrities are thought to be risky distractions by prison officials. If anything should happen to Mike, a lot of people who prefer to keep low profiles would suddenly find themselves making national headlines. Add that to the fact that Sorrentino’s sobriety and philanthropic work has been well-documented by MTV camera crews, and it’s not hard to see why Mike might be a prime candidate for early release. All he has to do now is keep is nose clean and serve his time quietly. According to Sorrentino’s wife, Lauren Pesce, that’s exactly what he’s been doing. Pesce tweeted an update to fans from Mike’s account earlier this week: “Mike would like to thank all of his fans worldwide for the unbelievable outpouring of love & support,” she wrote. “We speak everyday & he’s doing great. He’s received thousands of letters, he won’t be able to respond to everyone but wanted to express his gratitude to each and every one of you,” Lauren added. “Thank you from the both of us; it is truly heartwarming to have this support during this time.” Here’s hoping Mike’s time on the inside is as brief and uneventful as possible. Mike Sorrentino: Prison Release Date FINALLY Revealed!

Mike Sorrentino Marries Lauren Pesce!

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino may be headed to prison . But this Jersey Shore mainstay made a rather and romantic important stop on the way to the clink: We’re talking about the altar! As difficult as it may have been to believe just a few years ago, The Situation is now a married man. This former heavy drinker and fist pumper exchanged vows on Thursday with Lauren Pesce at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Those in attendance included many well-known names to long-time fans of Jersey Shore and its ongoing reboot: Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Deena Nicole Cortese, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino were among the guests. Sources have even confirmed that Farley and Polizzi’s four-year-old daughters, Meilani and Giovanna, served as flower girls. And, yes, Ortiz-Magro’s on-off girlfriend, Jen Harley, was also there with the couple’s six-month-old daughter, Ariana. As far as we know, she didn’t assault a single person during the ceremony or reception. “We are so incredibly excited to begin our journey as husband and wife!” Sorrentino and Pesce told Us Weekly, adding just a couple hours ago: “We are each other’s best friend and together we can handle anything. “Thank you to all our family, friends and fans who have supported us every step of the way. “Gym, Tan, Laurens is the new GTL! With Love, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Sorrentino.” Sorrentino popped the big question to Pesce on Valentine’s Day when she visited him in Miami while filming season 2 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. He spoke to producers ahead of time about his plan to do so. “I let them know, ‘Listen I really want to do this. This show is really special to me,” The Situation explained in April, adding at the time: “This is the show that introduced me to the world. It was really special for me to do this, to get down on one knee on Jersey Shore.” The newlyweds have a challenging several months ahead of them now. On January 15, Sorrentino will begin an eight-month prison sentence after he and his brother, Marc, were indicted in September of 2014 for tax offenses and conspiring to defraud the United States. They were accused of failing to properly pay taxes on $8.9 million in income from 2010 to 2012. In April of 2017, both siblings were indicted on additional charges including tax evasion, structuring and falsifying records. Then, earlier this year, Sorrentino pled guilty to one count of tax evasion and was sentenced to his jail stint on October 5. “He just wants to get his time done, come home and start his life over,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “The wedding has been a great distraction for him. He really wants to spend as much time as he can with her before she leaves.” We send our best wishes to the new husband and wife and we commend them on the greatest hastag any couple has ever come up with for a wedding. Indeed, folks, guests who posted about these nuptials on social media did so by writing about… you can guess it, right? #TheHitchuation.

Mike Sorrentino & Lauren Pesce: Planning a PRISON Wedding?!

On the current season of Jersey Shore ( Jersey Shore Family Vacation Part 2: The Legend of Curly’s Gold , or whatever they’re calling it), most of the drama has revolved around the ongoing conflict between Ronnie and his baby mama . But there’s another story that has just as much potential for tragedy that’s being mostly glossed over, presumably because it’s just too depressing for the reality sitcom vibe of Shore ‘s second iteration. We’re talking, of course, about the possibility that Mike Sorrentino might go to prison for a very long time. Back in January, Sorrentino pled guilty to tax fraud , and he now faces up to five years in prison. The fact that The Situation has sobered up and has mostly been on his best behavior (with plenty of video evidence to show to the sentencing judge) will probably help his cause, but it still seems unlikely that he’ll be able to avoid prison altogether. Which is what makes the latest news about his upcoming wedding so surprising: At first, it was widely reported that Sorrentino and Lauren Pesce were rushing the wedding planning process so that they could be safely hitched by the time Mike mike gets shipped off to the pokey. Now, Radar Online is reporting that Mike and Lauren are planning to get hitched in November — several weeks after Sorrentino’s October 2 sentencing date. The news led to a social media rumor that Mike and Lauren had arranged to get married in prison. These reports led to widespread confusion, as it’s tough to imagine that the future Mr. and Mrs. Sorrentino will be able to host the traditional Italian wedding of their dreams in Attica  After all, it’s not like you can smuggle an 80-gallon barrel of soup and 14 cousins named Marie in a trench coat. Fortunately, it seems Mike and Lauren did their research, and they’re confident that no matter what happens on sentencing day, they’ll be able to say “I do” in the presence of all their family and friends. “Ordinarily in federal court, a defendant is given a period of time (30 to 60 days) to surrender voluntarily to begin a prison sentence after the sentence is imposed,”  Sorrentino’s lawyer Henry Klingeman told Radar. Klingeman goes on to say that Mike and Lauren have “worked out all the logistics.” We guess it makes sense that Mike’s not considered a flight risk. After all, he’s been jetting all over the country filming JSFV, and he seems to have no inclination to skip the country. So it looks like we’re in for a televised Shore wedding, complete with DJ Pauly D on the ones and twos. Hopefully, Ronnie won’t steal the spotlight again.
