Erica Mena & Safaree Are Officially Married

On Monday (Oct. 7), the happy couple lavishly wed in front of their family and friends as Safaree donned a red suit styled by Messiah Stylist, while Erica Mena was dressed in a gorgeous white wedding dressed designed by Ryan and Walter that closely hugged her baby bump. The whirlwind romance was first announced in late 2018 with the couple announcing their engagement by Christmas Eve of the same year. While the two have been very public with their relationship and pregnancy announcement , it seems Erica plans to take a different approach with their child. According to published reports, Mena plans to shelter the bundle of joy from the spotlight, while Safaree’s plans include adding the upcoming addition to payroll. “We’re going to be selective but at the same time, this baby will come out of the womb working,” Safaree said during the announcement. “I was working very early. I’m about to pull a DJ Khaled . As soon as this baby comes out, we are working.” Working is an understatement while celebrating milestones in their lives and relationship, the lovebirds are also cashing after it was announced that their love story will be documented on the upcoming tenth season of Love & Hip-Hop: New York ; showcasing their fast-tracked romance, it’s been reported that VH1 cameras were on-hand to also document the wedding. Although the two may have different opinions on how involved their unborn child will be in Hollywood, one thing the two definitely agree on is their love for one another. Inmate Who Was Assisted By Kim Kardashian Released After 23 Years

Momolu Stewart received help towards gaining his freedom by way of Kim Kardashian ‘s efforts and he is no doubt grateful for the assistance. In a profile on Stewart from Oxygen , Stewart, now 39, entered prison after the New Year’s Day shooting of Mark Rosebure. Stewart’s co-defendant, Kareem McCraney, was released in 2018 with both men benefiting from the Incarceration Reduction Amendment Act. While behind bars at the DC Central Detention Facility, commonly known as the D.C. Jail, Stewart became a part of the Georgetown Prison Scholars under Dr. Mark Howard, who praised Stewart’s transformation from a street tough to a man who wants to contribute to society. Stewart seemed extremely humbled by Kardashian’s assistance as evidenced by his chat with Oxygen. “She has the ability to believe in others when the conventional aspect of things would be to shun ‘em,” Stewart said. Kardashian penned a letter on Stewart’s behalf that explained his violent and troubled childhood, which included his mother killing his father when he was six-years-old thus becoming part of the street life in Washington. Stewart will be featured in the upcoming documentary Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project which will air on the Oxygen network. — Photo: Getty

Mike Sorrentino’s Post-Prison Plans: I Want to Smush With My Wife and Stay Sober!

Last week, Mike Sorrentino was released after serving eight months behind bars for tax evasion. Despite his relatively short sentence, The Situation missed out on quite a lot during his time in federal prison. For one thing, the Jersey Shore money train is still chugging along, which means at this point, Snooki and company can enjoy a hearty laugh at the haters who dismissed them as a flash in the pan and made snide “15 minutes of fame” remarks a freakin’ decade ago. Mike was able to make a couple voice-over cameos by calling his former housemate’s cell phones at opportune times, and his new wife Lauren Pesce took his place at events like Ronnie’s daughter’s birthday party. But it just wasn’t the same in terms of the viewer experience, the group dynamic — or the Sorrentinos’ pocketbook. (While Lauren was paid for appearances, she likely earned a fraction of what Mike would make, and The Sitch’s phone cameos were brief and infrequent.) Of course, what Mike really missed out on wasn’t lining his pockets, but spending time with his family. Sorrentino married Pesce just two months before he began serving his sentence. He stated repeatedly in the weeks after his wedding that leaving Lauren behind would be the most difficult part of his ordeal. These days, Big Daddy Sitch is opening up about his post-prison plans, and not surprisingly, it seems he’s focused on making up for lost time. “It’s fantastic. I have my beautiful wife next to me. I’m healthy, I’m sober, back at work with my best friends on the No. 1 show on MTV and just living the dream,” Mike told Entertainment Tonight in a new interview. “You sort of take your freedom for granted sometimes,” he added. “Once you get out, you are taking advantage [of] every minute,” the 37-year-old continued. “Every second, every meal, every conversation with my beautiful wife, with my friends. I love my job, so I am on such an awesome road and we are very excited to see what the future has to offer.” “It’s a very uncomfortable situation from start to finish [but] it’s not the end of the world,” Mike added of his time behind bars. “I was just proud of myself that, even under extreme stress and adversity, I was still able to do my job and do it well,” he said. “And still able to earn an income while in prison.” Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Situation. Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Family Has No Intentions of Attending His Snitching Performance in Court

Source: @JustInMyView / R1 Digital It seems like just yesterday Tekashi 6ix9ine ‘s Trey Nine Gangsta Bloods crew was out in the streets of New York allegedly putting hands on rappers who dared talked sideways about the “Gummo” rapper. Now only a year and change after claiming to be the “King of New York,” the rainbow haired rapper who once bragged about how thorough his team is preparing to drop more dimes than a Kevin Love and Dame D.O.L.L.A commercial against the same people who once held him down in the streets…and eventually kidnapped and robbed him as well. Unfortunately for the rapper also  Danny Hernandez , he will have to take the stand without any moral support from his immediate family as they fear retribution from the men Hernandez once ran with. According to TMZ , Tekashi 6ix9ine’s family has decided not to be in the crowd once Tekashi goes all “Henry Hill” on his former mob associates and sings some jail house rock notes that will help put his former homies turned captors behind bars . Knowing that members of the Trey Nine Gangsta Bloods would be in attendance, his family members fear that they might and try to make an example of them to send Tekashi and other would-be snitches a message. We’re told his family thinks, at the very least, they’d be harassed, but more likely followed back to their home … or even outright attacked by Nine Trey members. Remember, Tekashi was already scared for his family’s lives — despite hiring extra security to guard them — and it looks like he’s following through on that concern now that the day is right around the corner. As we reported … prosecutors laid out what Tekashi’s going to say on the stand next week, when he’ll supposedly name names, connect people to certain incriminating messages … and implicate himself and other Nine Trey Bloods to a plot on hurting rival rapper Casanova . Presumably, he’ll also get into detail about how he was bankrolling his fellow gang members — something prosecutors revealed in court docs . Yup, this kid is giving up the farm in order to get back his freedom. Whether or not rap is still an option in his post-snitching life remains to be seen but 50 Cent seems to believe there’s a chance for his rap career yet. Just don’t expect 50 to answer any phone calls from 6ix9ine from here on out. Them the breaks.

Farrah Abraham Refers to 9/11 as "7-Eleven" in Worst Tribute Video Possible

This NOT exactly just in: Farrah Abraham is not the sharpest tack in the drawer. She’ll never be accused of playing with a full deck or of not having at least one screw loose. And yet, even for this disgraced ex-Teen Mom star, the video Farrah released on Wednesday likely came as a shock to those who have been following her so-called career for the past several months. Yes, it was that ignortant, tone-deaf and just plain dumb. Here. Let us set the stage for you, okay? Abraham has been in New York City for the past few days, taking daughter Sophia on a tour of The Big Apple while also making an appearance at this city’s Fashion Week. Earlier this week, though, Farrah and Sophia visited One World Trade Center in order to pay tribute to those who died on the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001. On its surface, this was an admirable gesture. Dig a little deeper past the surface, however, and … well… … you get Abraham mixing up the date of this awful incident with the name of the country’s most famous convenience store. This is what the reality star said to open her self-filmed footage: “Okay, so we wanted to do, since it’s gonna be September 11, in honor of the Freedom Towers, and observatory deck and everything, of 7-Eleven, we are going to do this. Wow, look at this guys.” Yup, Farrah just said  7-Eleven . Abraham brushed right past her mistake, however, to say how vital she believes it to be that her daughter learn about the tragedy. “I think this is gorgeous, beautiful, and in memory of a lot of loved ones, a lot of others lost,” she says in the following video, adding: “I remember being in fifth grade when September 11 attacks happened, Sophia was not born yet, so I think it’s really important that Sophia learns about it, and here we go.” Farrah Abraham at One World Trade Center Farrah’s sentiment is right, of course. But was it right of her to turn this visit into a 12-minute video that she released on her YouTube page? Or right of here to strike such an odd, enthusiastic tone while walking around the sacred ground? “It’s pretty gorgeous here. It’s such a great day. The buildings are so beautiful,” she continued, later gushing over how much she was “enjoying” the entire experience. On the bright side at least, no one watched this video and wondered what the heck was the matter with Farrah’s appearance . Instead, they simply wondered what the heck is the matter with Farrah. Full stop. “I kind of wanted to make this video while I’m here at the Freedom Tower for September 11,” the MTV personality added. “However we all deal with loss, I encourage you guys to check out my last videos for bereavement, depression, but it’s good to have a memorial for those. It’s great to visit loved ones and have good memories.” We don’t want to judge anyone who has been through any traumatic ordeal. Not in any way at all. But if you’re checking out Farrah Abraham’s videos on bereavement and depression, we just hope you’re looking at a few other things as well. New York City is the latest stop on Farrah and Sophia’s tour across the world. They are fresh off a trip to Paris, where they enjoyed a day of shopping at stores like Louis Vuitton. Days before that adventure, they walked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival. Where is Farrah getting the money for such grand vacations? That’s a great question. Mike Sorrentino is Almost a Free Man. Now What?!?

Look out, bars, tanning salons and gyms around the country. You’re about to have a situation on your hands. Literally! Following an eight-month stint behind bars after he pleaded guilty on tax evasion charges, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is scheduled to be released from Otisville Federal Correctional Institution on Thursday, September 12. The reality star has reportedly been on his best behavior ever since checking in to this facility late last year — and he also reportedly has major plans upon his release. Such as? Putting a baby inside his wife , Lauren, according to multiple sources. How exciting, right?!? Ever since his incarceration, Sorrentino has remained in the news at time due to visits from Lauren  and also some of his Jersey Shore co-stars. They’ve posted for photos with their loved one and, as you can see above, shared some of these photos on social media. We can expect to see plenty more of these over the next several weeks, after Mike gets out of the big house, but here’s the thing: He won’t be walking out and then into the arms of his beloved better half. Instead, as previously reported, Sorrentino will head to a halfway house , per the conditions of his earlier guilty plea. “Mike is getting released to a federal halfway house and there is no partying or drinking allowed,” inmate-turned-author Dan Wise previously told Radar Online, explaining in more detail: “After serving a month or so in a halfway house, he will transition to home confinement, possibly for the last two weeks of his sentence.” Even after this time is up and served, Mike’s debt to socierty will not be completely paid back. The MTV personality is also facing 24 months of supervised release and 500 hours of community service following his discharge from the clink. This is what happens when you try and cheat the government, okay, kids? Still, according to Hollywood Life, Mike does have a reason to be excited after he gets out of jail: a big blowout is in the works to celebrate his freedom. “Everyone’s planning on seeing him right away and there’s a big celebration being planned for when he gets out with all of his family and friends,” an insider close to Mike and Lauren told the celebrity gossip website. Sorrentino, of course, married Lauren Pesce in November and then checked into FCI Otisville on Thursday, January 15. We hope he’s learned his lessons and will be a model citizen upon his release. Suffering from depression and watching her life spiral out of control, Johnson started hanging out with drug dealers and found herself caught up in a lucrative operation that transported and distributed cocaine to Memphis, Tennessee. In 1993, she was arrested, along with 15 others involved in the same drug bust. Somehow the prosecutors convinced the others to testify against her in court. While they were given sentences ranging from probation without jail time to 10 years, Johnson was sentenced to life in prison without parole, plus another 25 years. Idris Elba To Star In Film About Philadelphia’s Black Cowboys

T hroughout his entire career London-born actor Idris Elba has used his craft as an avenue to bring narratives about Black pioneers to the big screen. Six years after playing the role of South African revolutionary Nelson Mandela in the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom , Elba will now star in a movie about the unsung stories of Philadelphia’s Black cowboys, Deadline reported. Production is now underway on #ConcreteCowboys , with Idris Elba starring with #StrangerThings ‘ Caleb McLaughlin https://t.co/QGTQhbG0nM — Deadline Hollywood (@DEADLINE) August 8, 2019 The film—titled Concrete Cowboys —is centered on the Fletcher Street Stables. Fletcher Street is a Black horsemanship community that has been in existence for over a century. It was cultivated as an outlet to help Black men and boys escape communities plagued by violence and crime and learn about the importance of discipline and responsibility. The film follows the journey of a teen who was sent to live with his father in North Philly. While adjusting to the new environment and bearing witness to the impact of gentrification and poverty, the teen discovers the community’s urban cowboy culture and explores how horse riding is used to escape the dire circumstances faced by those in the neighborhood. Concrete Cowboys is loosely based on a book penned by author Greg Neri titled Ghetto Cowboy . Actors Caleb McLaughlin , Jharrel Jerome , Byron Bowers , and Lorraine Toussaint star alongside Elba in the film. The film is being produced by Elba’s production company Green Door Pictures, Tucker Tooley Entertainment, and Lee Daniels Entertainment. Ricky Staub will serve as the film’s director. “Idris had expressed a desire to be involved in projects uplifting to the African American community,” Staub told Philly Mag in an interview. “Idris has a huge heart in wanting to uplift new voices and to make an impact on the community.” As for the real-life “Concrete Cowboys,” they’re excited to see the story be transformed into a film. Ika Bradford says Fletcher Street Stables has forever impacted his life. “I had my time and share of doing this and doing that, all the bad things that ended me up in jail. Just being around the horses keep me calm,” he told ABC 6 . “Just have something to do. Stay out of trouble. Take your mind out of things in the hood, they’re playing basketball in the hood, but there’s nothing like a horse stable, I’ll tell you that.” The film is currently in production and there is no word on when it is slated to be released. Despite her knowledge of his disloyalty, Wendy’s decision to stay was guided by her desire to protect her son who was in school during that time. “You knew about this double life?” Andy asked. “I knew about a lot of things, for years,” she admitted.
