As the Twitter saying goes, “The devil works hard but Kris Jenner works harder.” News then dropped that Kylie was “spotted with Tyga” which she has since denied claiming her friend needed a ride to the studio—I’m not sure who calls their billionaire friend for a ride instead of asking them to get them an Uber but Kylie must be a great friend. (Wink, Wink) Soon after the drama started, Travis Scott announced his second annual “Astroworld Festival” and announced the release date of his highly anticipated single “Highest In The Room.” The track hit digital streaming platforms Thursday night around 11 p.m. and has already broken records. . @trvisXX 's “HIGHEST IN THE ROOM” earns the biggest debut for a single released separate from an album in US Spotify history (3.94 million). — chart data (@chartdata) October 6, 2019 Travis racked up almost 4 million streams on Spotify alone. Source: MediaNews Group/Torrance Daily Breeze via Getty Images / Getty Snoop Dogg’s Performance At The University Of Kansas Didn’t Go Over Well A performance from the one-and-only Snoop Dogg brought some controversy to the University of Kansas . The college ended up issuing an apology on Friday night after the rapper performed as part of the “Late Night in the Phog” preseason celebration, which follows scrimmages by both the men’s and women’s basketball teams. The 35-minute set Snoop brought to Allen Fieldhouse featured women on stripper poles doing what women do on stripper poles, along with shooting fake money into the crowd, and performing the unedited versions of his hit songs, like “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Gin and Juice.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) on Oct 4, 2019 at 10:07pm PDT The vulgarity of the show reportedly raised some eyebrows, which led to Kansas’ athletic director Jeff Long issuing a statement to the Kansas City Star . In the apology, he explains that the school expected a “clean version” of the performance from the legendary rapper. “We apologize to anyone who was offended by the Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night. We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show,” the statement said. “I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended. We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening.” There’s no word on how the university and Snoop Dogg had such a different understanding of what the performance was supposed to be, but in Snoop’s defense, it’s easy to see why he might have thought a “Late Night” event was meant to push the envelope a little bit. In the video posted by the Long Beach native following his show, the crowd at Allen Fieldhouse seemed to be loving the performance as they lowdly cheered him on. After word of the controversy got out, Snoop brushed it off by sharing a short statement on Instagram which seems to be in response to those saying he did too much. “Thank. U for letting me be me. This is America,” he captioned the post. View this post on Instagram Thank. U for letting me be me . This is America A post shared by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) on Oct 5, 2019 at 2:29pm PDT

That was the case for one Texas man who attempted to divorce his wife without her consent. 51-year old Paul Nixon submitted forged documents and false information to a Houston district court in an attempt to end his union with Mrs. Nixon. According to the New York Daily News , Nixon also reportedly committed perjury when testifying in court during a divorce hearing. Authorities say the divorce has been set aside due to the fraudulent filing. Fox 6 News reports: Authorities received a call on May 14 from a woman who said her husband had allegedly completed the divorce and that a court already filed the final decree. Through the investigation, authorities found that Nixon forged documents and submitted false information to the court. He also allegedly submitted a waiver of service with a forged signature from a notary. Mark Herman of Harris County Constable Precinct 4 said that Nixon committed aggravated perjury when he testified during the final hearing on the validity of the documents and information. Authorities are currently still on the hunt for Nixon.
There’s no arguing that coffee is the most important beverage next to water (and fine, tea). It’s your daily pick-me-up, your energy fuel that helps you conquer your otherwise insurmountable tasks for the day. It’s only right, then, that you only consume quality coffee, and not the kind that you can make from pods (which is bad for the environment, btw) or your local coffee chain (you know the one). Crafting coffee is both an art and a science, and you can make yourself the perfect cup each time with the Wilfa Precision Automatic Coffee Maker . Source: CHRISTOPHE SIMON / Getty A lot of debate was sparked this past week over a high school swimming decision in Alaska. According to Anchorage Daily News , a Dimond High School swimmer was stripped of her victory last Friday after she was disqualified for a “uniform violation.” The National Federation of High Schools rule says that boys must cover their buttocks while girls must cover their buttocks and breasts with their suits. An official who oversaw Friday’s meet said the referee who disqualified the girl said she could see “butt cheek touching butt cheek.” This was the teen’s one disqualification out of the four races she competed in. Annette Rohde, an official who was present at the dual meet between Dimond and Chugiak, said she “froze in disbelief” when she witnessed the disqualification decision by the referee. “I told her, ‘I need to know how you’re defining this, because this is going to blow up,’” Rohde said. South High swim coach Cliff Murray explained that Anchorage High School coaches were told “that as far as the buttocks region goes, you should not be showing any part of the intergluteal cleft.” He continued, “If you’re in a situation where your suit creeps up, somebody comes over to a coach and says ‘hey, you’ve got an athlete who needs to adjust his or her suit,’ and they have that opportunity to fix it. And if they don’t, there are ramifications.” The school district explained that the disqualified swimmer “ was wearing the approved, school-issued suit during the race.” When news of the disqualification hit the swimming community, West High coach Lauren Langford slammed the decision in a Medium post, saying the girls’ bodies are being “policed.” She continued, “These young swimmers aren’t being punished for wearing their suits in scandalous or provocative ways, but rather, because their ample hips, full chests, and dark complexions look different than their willowy, thin, and mostly pallid teammates. Some will argue this scandal has nothing to do with race. But the issue becomes glaring when officials are overheard acknowledging that white athletes are baring too much skin as well, yet they’ve never been disqualified for a similar violation.” According to KTUU, the disqualified swimmer in question, 17-year-old Breckynn Willis, is of mixed race and is considered one of the school’s most promising athletes. “She’s one of three girls on the Dimond team who look like her,” said Langford . “Everybody else is in same suit, sized to fit, and yet on a team of however many girls she was the only one that got singled out?” Luckily, people in power took into account the backlash and according to Anchorage Daily News , Willis’ disqualification was overturned on Tuesday by the Alaska School Activities Association, the group that oversees Alaska high school sports. They made their decision based on the rule that says when an official finds a uniform violation, they must notify the swimmer’s coach. The ASAA said in a statement, “All evidence gathered, including the statement provided by the official, indicated the official did not notify the coach prior to disqualifying the student.” The Anchorage School District also called the decision to disqualify Willis “heavy-handed and unnecessary” and was “based solely on how a standard, school-issued uniform happened to fit the shape of her body.” They continued, “We cannot tolerate discrimination of any kind, and certainly not based on body shape.” The district said they’re seeking to have the ASAA decertify the official who disqualified Willis and they want revisions to the uniform rule, saying the National Federation of High Schools swimsuit coverage rule “is ambiguous and allows the potential for bias to influence officials’ decisions.”

Thursday night was no different. On New York Fashion Week’s opening night at the Daily Front Row Fashion Media Awards, Moore used the red carpet as a call to action. There to accept the “Cover of the Year Award” for her historic Elle magazine cover earlier this year, she rocked a gorgeous red Oscar de la Renta gown, pairing them with long cascading Beads By Aree keepsake earrings that paid homage to 16 Black trans murdered this year. Each gold frame held a picture of women including Jazzaline Ware , Ashanti Carmon , Muhlaysia Booker , and Michelle “Tamika” Washington to name a few. In addition, her clutch had a picture of 17-year-old Bailey Reeves . “ Thank you Aree, for sharing your keepsake earrings so I could bring my sister’s with me tonight,” the 24-year-old Louis Vuitton spokesperson wrote on Instagram. According to W , during her speech, Moore told the crowd, “As you all know, or not, I am Black, and I am trans. Right now the Supreme Court [is] voting on whether or not trans people can access employment, shelter, and healthcare in the same ways that you all have access,” making it a difficult time, they added, “to celebrate being celebrated for being myself.” View this post on Instagram Thank you Aree, for sharing your keepsake earings so I could bring my sister's with me tonight. Everybody's watching this segment of The View , and for once, it's not because of something dumb that Meghan McCain said. Wendy Williams showed up to speak about her history of substance abuse and, most significantly, about her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter. She explains that there was only one reason for their split, and it wasn't his infidelity — not exactly. After welcoming Wendy to the table, Sunny Hostin goes over how Wendy filed for divorce in April after nearly 22 years of marriage to Kevin Hunter. Wendy reminds her that she and Kevin were together for 25 years. “Because of his infidelity,” she explains of Wendy's break-up. Wendy has to correct her. “Infidelity is one thing,” Wendy clarifies. “A full baby is a whole other topic.” Joy Behar chimes in: “A baby did it.” “A baby!” Wendy emphasizes. “I'm not changing Pampers. I want to be pampered!” That's a very good line that clearly Wendy said to a friend at some point and has latched onto. Joy points out that surely Wendy would never be asked to change the diapers. This results in a very awkward exchange in which Wendy explains to Joy, a comedian, that it's a joke. “If I don't laugh,” Wendy states. “Then I'll cry.” “I learned from my mother how to make lemons into lemonade,” Wendy states. “What am I supposed to do?” Wendy asks rhetorically. “Stay in the house and cry all day?” Don't judge how I spend my Saturdays, Wendy! (that, too, is a joke) Sonny then congratulates Wendy on her resolution to never speak ill of Kevin in public. “I save that for when I get back to my bachelorette pad,” Wendy half-jokes. Sonny points out that having parents constantly speaking ill of each other can be bad for the children. (Not always! Each divorce is unique, and sometimes one parent or the other is a true monster, and the kids need that affirmed by the good parent) Wendy explains that, while her young adult son Kevin Jr. is a consideration, there's more to it than that. “It's not just about young Kevin,” Wendy explains. “It's about, you know, Kevin's not a bad man — Big Kev.” “But you can't just throw away 25 years and start talking recklessly about the other person,” she reasons. “Otherwise,” Wendy asks. “What does that say about me?” Wendy reveals that the decision to divorce her cheating, lovechild-fathering husband came easily. She didn't have a huge internal debate. She also did not consider marriage counseling to somehow “fix” things. “You do this? Get out!” Wendy expresses as her attitude after Kevin impregnated his mistress. That is a very understandable position to take. No therapist can somehow counter the existence of an extramarital baby. The audience clearly agrees and showers Wendy with applause. Now, notably, Wendy also addresses how she had battled with substance addiction. She says that she was only ever addicted to one substance, and that was cocaine. Wendy also clarifies that this was not recent — that her addiction took place 25 years ago, and that she cleaned up her act when she met Kevin. She claims that her stay at the sober house was more of a break from being in contact with people as she planned her next move. That's … not really what sober houses are for, right?
When it comes to the Sister Wives universe these days, fans have plenty more questions than answers. Is Meri really leaving Kody and the life she clearly hates behind? Might Robyn be following in her disgruntled wake? Is Kody really in the market for a fifth wife ? Over a year since the Brown family moved from Las Vegas to Arizona, a decision Kody made on behalf of his many loved ones that hasn’t really gone over too well with, well… anyone. In this time since the move, Meri has complained about being uprooted from an area she knew well and — that’s about it. There’s been very little actual movement on the Coyote Pass property in Flagstaff purchased awhile back by Kody. Until now, that is. According to Soap Dirt, U-Haul trucks were spotted on the land this week, making the first real activity seen there in months. This is all the information we have to go on at the moment, but it certainly gets our mind wondering and speculating. Could these trucks be there to pack up Robyn’s stuff, based on the rumor that even this seemingly steady wife is displeased and looking to get away ? Or could the trucks actually be hauling television equipment, which would back up chatter that filming on a new season is set to commence ? TLC has remained oddly quiet about upcoming episodes, never confirming they are on the way and leaving viewers desperate for the sort of intel we’re trying to pass along here. Last season, of course, wrapped with a couple of cliffhangers — and one cented on Kody Brown’s single gigantic home. The lead cast member had blueprints drafted for a monstrous dwelling that would house all the Sister Wives spouses and offspring. We’re talking one GIANT residence here! Kody’s ideal creation came with four different apartment-like sections. The goal was for these apartments to be spread out from each other to give everyone some privacy, but no building permits for such a structure is on record in Arizona. Not as of September 5, 2019 at least. So that’s where things are at right now. Meri is trash talking her haters and trying to live her best life. Janelle is celebrating the arrival of a grandchild . Robyn isn’t saying much. Christine is saying even less. And we’re simply doing all we can to keep readers apprised of future Sister Wives plans, steps and even air dates. Stick with us, folks.
