SCARY: Cincinnati Football Player Suffers Seizure In The Middle Of A Play [Video]

Source: JMU Athletics Communications / JMU Athletics Communications Cincinnati Football Player Has Seizure In The Middle Of A Play College football players go out each and every weekend and put it all on the line for the promise of making it into the professional league one day–and the percentage that actually make it to the league is a lot smaller than one might think. Besides proving to be the cream of the crop as far as gameplay goes, other obstacles stand in their way that are completely out of the players’ control. For some, its tuition that holds them back because college surely isn’t cheap. For a lot of these players, it’s injuries , which happen every single week. This weekend, one player had a medical emergency that isn’t seen on the field too often. Cincinnati College’s Kyriq McDonald suffered a seizure mid-play during their blowout at the hands of Ohio State. After the game, his mother confirmed that McDonald has a history of seizures. Hopefully, he can play again, but it’s definitely not worth risking your daily abilities to play football because as we all know, the wrong hit at the wrong time could end up being detrimental. Scary moment for Cincinnati's Kyriq McDonald. He fell midplay despite not being touched and remained on the field. He was driven off the field. ESPN spoke with his mom who said he has a history of seizures. pic.twitter.com/wvMSgv5Dcr — Jordan Heck (@JordanHeckFF) September 7, 2019

This Police Department Allows Officers To Use Tasers On 7-Year-Olds

Read the original:

D on’t be surprised if a Cincinnati police officer is not punished for firing a Taser at a child— because his department’s policy permits cops to taser kids. See Also: Mayor Investigating Police Tasing Of Unarmed Black Man Who Was Sitting On A Curb Local lawmakers demanded answers from the Cincinnati Police Department about why an officer tasered an 11-year-old girl at a Kroger supermarket on Monday (Aug. 6) for allegedly shoplifting, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported. “We’re still waiting on bits and pieces of information, but I could see no reason … why an 11-year-old child was tasered, given the circumstances, for shoplifting,” Cincinnati City Councilmember Jeff Pastor told WLWT-TV . Astonishingly, the department’s policy permits officers to use stun guns on individuals aged 7 to 70, according to the Enquirer. After reviewing Taser policies of several police departments around the country, Cincinnati’s rules appear unusual. #outraged ! I can't believe the Cincinnati Police used a taser on an 11 year old girl for stealing food from a Kroger store. pic.twitter.com/94sSfDDVn7 — Kym Tooson Poellnitz (@KymPoellnitz) August 8, 2018 An off-duty officer working security at the supermarket fired his Taser at the girl while investigating several girls accused of stealing from the store, the police reported. The cop fired at the child’s back after she continued to walk away, ignoring his orders. She was arrested and charged with theft and obstructing official business. Under the department’s policy, officers are permitted to use their stun guns “for self-defense or to temporarily immobilize a subject who is actively resisting arrest.” In addition to the age restrictions, Taser use is also banned on “obviously pregnant females.” All restrictions disappear if the officer is in a “deadly force situation.” Tasering the girl in the back would get the officer in trouble if he was working for the Chicago Police Department, which discouraged officers from shocking people who are fleeing or vulnerable to injury, according to a policy change announced in 2017 . But in Cincinnati, things are obviously different, as Police Chief Eliot Isaac  continues to deliberate over the matter. In the meantime, the girl, whose identity was not released, was evaluated at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and released to her parents. She’s awaiting a courtroom appearance. Jesus Take The Wheel: Footage Released Of 8-Year-OId Being Bullied Prior To Hanging Suicide

Gabriel Taye’s Suicide Investigated Following Bullying Video Footage Cincinnati is reporting some disturbing news about the suicide of 8-year-old Gabriel Taye after being violently bullied in the bathroom by his classmates at Carson Elementary School. 2 days after the footage you are about to see, Gabriel hanged himself inside his family’s home. It is posited that the Cincinnati Public School system was negligent in not supervising the restroom after a homicide detective watched the surveillance tape and described the incident as “bullying bordering on criminal assault”. Gabriel’s mother said through her lawyer, Jennifer Branch of Cincinnati, that no one at Carson told her about the assault when she collected Gabriel that day. In the evening of Jan. 24, his mother took him to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center because he was vomiting. After a night in the emergency room, his mother kept him out of school the next day, Jan. 25. On Jan. 26, Gabriel went back to school but at home that night, he hanged himself. Gabriel’s death was officially ruled a suicide, but the investigation has been reopened and new details could emerge. BOSSIP will keep you updated with the developments. R.I.P. Black Over Blue: Cincinnati Cop Under Internal Investigation For Calling Out Fellow White Officers

Black Cincinnati Cop Airs Out Fellow White Officers For Violence Against Black Men The folks in Cincinnati know all too well about how police abuse their authority to do violence against black bodies. Last year, we mourned the death of Sam Dubose, an unarmed black man who was shot in the head by Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing. Tensing has since been charged with murder, but in the wake of the recent violence in Baton Rouge and Minnesota, one officer isn’t keeping his mouth shut about his white colleagues. Via Cincinnati The Cincinnati Police Department is reviewing a Facebook post by a black officer that referenced white officers “looking for a reason to kill a black man.” Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac said in a Thursday statement the post is being reviewed under the department’s “social media procedure and our rules and regulations.” The Facebook post, first reported by Fox19-WXIX TV, was made on an unknown date earlier this month, apparently after black men were killed by police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. In response, the Chief Issac had this to say: “The Cincinnati Police Department strives to maintain a culture of professionalism, as well as transparency and accountability for our actions. I am proud of the work of the men and women of the Cincinnati Police Department and our efforts to work collaboratively with the community,” Isaac wrote. “We are aware of a recent post to a commonly used social media site by one of our officers that refers to an interpretation of a law enforcement officer’s actions. The comments that were posted are under review as they relate to our Social Media procedure and our Rules and Regulations.” Sadly, we won’t be surprised to hear that this brotha has been suspended, fired, or worse. That said, we applaud his bravery for speaking out and we hope more cops follow right behind him. We need “good” police to help keep black people from being shot down like dogs in the street.
