Mike Sorrentino’s Post-Prison Plans: I Want to Smush With My Wife and Stay Sober!

Last week, Mike Sorrentino was released after serving eight months behind bars for tax evasion. Despite his relatively short sentence, The Situation missed out on quite a lot during his time in federal prison. For one thing, the Jersey Shore money train is still chugging along, which means at this point, Snooki and company can enjoy a hearty laugh at the haters who dismissed them as a flash in the pan and made snide “15 minutes of fame” remarks a freakin’ decade ago. Mike was able to make a couple voice-over cameos by calling his former housemate’s cell phones at opportune times, and his new wife Lauren Pesce took his place at events like Ronnie’s daughter’s birthday party. But it just wasn’t the same in terms of the viewer experience, the group dynamic — or the Sorrentinos’ pocketbook. (While Lauren was paid for appearances, she likely earned a fraction of what Mike would make, and The Sitch’s phone cameos were brief and infrequent.) Of course, what Mike really missed out on wasn’t lining his pockets, but spending time with his family. Sorrentino married Pesce just two months before he began serving his sentence. He stated repeatedly in the weeks after his wedding that leaving Lauren behind would be the most difficult part of his ordeal. These days, Big Daddy Sitch is opening up about his post-prison plans, and not surprisingly, it seems he’s focused on making up for lost time. “It’s fantastic. I have my beautiful wife next to me. I’m healthy, I’m sober, back at work with my best friends on the No. 1 show on MTV and just living the dream,” Mike told Entertainment Tonight in a new interview. “You sort of take your freedom for granted sometimes,” he added. “Once you get out, you are taking advantage [of] every minute,” the 37-year-old continued. “Every second, every meal, every conversation with my beautiful wife, with my friends. I love my job, so I am on such an awesome road and we are very excited to see what the future has to offer.” “It’s a very uncomfortable situation from start to finish [but] it’s not the end of the world,” Mike added of his time behind bars. “I was just proud of myself that, even under extreme stress and adversity, I was still able to do my job and do it well,” he said. “And still able to earn an income while in prison.” Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Situation. We’re happy to have him back. View Slideshow: Mike Sorrentino in Prison: Star’s Sad Farewell to Freedom, New Life Behind Bars, Conjugal Visit “Situation” Revealed [UPDATED]

Will You Be Watching? Actress AJ Johnson Talks New Movie “Sins Of The Father” (Exclusive)

Source: Maury Phillips / Getty “House Party” Actress Back With New Movie “Sins Of The Father” Fans may remember AJ Johnson for her iconic roles as “Sharane” in “House Party” and “Juanita” in “Baby Boy.” Now, the NJ born and bred actress is back with a new movie on TVOne “Sins of The Father,” about the murder of the wife of an Atlanta-area pastor, a crime that sends shockwaves through their close-knit community. However things aren’t what they seem and as law enforcement’s investigation unfolds, secret lives filled with lust, adultery, and corruption come to the surface. Johnson plays the no-nonsense Det. Phylicia Richardson, who is tasked with unraveling the mystery murder of the church’s First Lady. “Phylicia Richardson is actually AJ Johnson before Hollywood,” Johnson told BOSSIP by phone. “Phylicia is the bookworm, the intellectual…now, she’s been given a platform to be all of who she is – now we get to see her work her magic on this case that has gone cold.” Source: Gabriel Olsen / Getty The thespian said she and director Jamal Hill had full creative control of the movie, often shooting up to 15 hours a day and then meeting to rewrite scenes for the next day. The movie, which was shot in Atlanta, was years in the making for Johnson, who said that she wanted to find the right role after the critical acclaim of “Baby Boy.” “I personally have been waiting for a project that helped me not to miss my experience in ‘Baby Boy,’ which was my last dramatic role,” she said. “ John Singleton and his way of creating spoiled me. So I was waiting for that kind of role, that kind of director…Then TV One called, and I felt like it was an answered prayer right there.” Johnson said she hopes that viewers will take away that the truth always comes to light. “We’re living in a time and space where corruption, deceit and adultery exit in certain areas,” Johnson explained. “Between cell phones and social media, so much is exposed, why not expose the dark in the church community, and correct it?” “Sins of the Father” will air July 7 at 8 P.M. (EST) on TVOne.

Thieves Target Post Malone In Home Invasion, Had Wrong House

Read the original here:

Source: WENN.com / WENN Post Malone must have a bullseye drawn on his back because it seems like trouble is following him everywhere but the latest instance has somewhat of a happier ending. Thieves targeted San Fernando Valley home that the popular artist once stayed and even demanded to know where he was before making off with $20,000 in stolen goods. TMZ reports : Law enforcement sources tell us … 3 male suspects smashed a front window a little after midnight on September 1 and entered the San Fernando Valley house. We’re told a resident living there was pistol-whipped. We’re told one of the 3 men yelled, “Where’s Post Malone?!” … before stealing a bunch of cash, jewelry and cell phones … about $20k worth. The barking out of Post’s name makes it clear they were targeting him, but it’s been months since he lived there. We’re told the people living there now have no connection to Post. The outlet threw out the possibility that the recent rash of home invasions and the like could be linked to other high-profile cases as a home where Rae Sremmurd was staying in the area was robbed of a safe just hours later. Rappers, a word of caution: don’t let social media know your location because it’s clear the bad guys are watching your every move. — Photo: WENN

Donald Trump Resisted Having His Cell Phones Inspected For Hacking

Source: Rick Friedman / Getty Donald Trump’s cell phone use is not only a threat to our sanity daily, but it could also be a significant national security issue as well.  Politico reports that according to two senior administration officials, Agent Orange is still using cell phones that lack sophisticated security features to secure his communications. Trump loves to buck the system when it comes to his predecessors, so it really doesn’t shock us that he opts to not follow the common practice that protects him from hacking and surveillance. via GIPHY Administration officials revealed that Trump has stopped efforts to strengthen security to secure his daily cell phone use on numerous occasions. According to one official, White House Information Technology and the White House Communications Agency issued President Trump two phones, one for making calls and the other just for Tweeting and checking pre-loaded news sites (more than likely Fox News). The experts insist that Trump should swap out his weapon of mass distraction aka his tweeting phone every month. Trump feels otherwise claiming that it’s “too inconvenient” for him to do so and has gone as long as 5-months without his phone being checked by security experts. No one really knows how many times Trump’s call-capable cellphones have been swapped out since. The White House has yet to respond to Politico’s reporting, but a senior West Wing official states the call-capable phones  “are seamlessly swapped out on a regular basis through routine support operations. Because of the security controls of the Twitter phone and the Twitter account, it does not necessitate regular change-out.” Riiiigghht. President Barack Obama during his Presidency handed in his White House issued phones to telecommunications staffers every 30 days to be inspected for hacking and suspicious behavior. His phones didn’t even have a camera or microphone, but Trump’s still does making them a security risk. The West Wing official refuted those claims of course and tells Politico “Due to inherent capabilities and advancement in technologies, these devices are more secure than any Obama-era devices.” Let’s not forget Donald Trump as a candidate used to bash Hillary Clinton for her use of private email server while she was Secretary of State. But he can’t swap out his phone every 30-days for the safety of the country he took an oath to protect. With him currently engaged with China in a trade war and sit down with North Korea, you would think securing his phones is a priority. We see the jig here. — Photo:  Rick Friedman / Getty

Jennifer Aniston Reprises Her Friends Role on SNL!!!!!!

Sit back, relax, and get ready to have some laughs and feel some feelings … Because hey, do you remember this old television show called Friends? You may have seen it from time to time, it's only one of the most popular sitcoms of all time, if not the most popular, no big deal. One of the biggest stars on the show, if you need some help refreshing your memory, was Jennifer Aniston. And if you really need some help, then go ahead and check out this seriously beautiful clip from last night's episode of Saturday Night Live. In the clip, Vanessa Bayer does her brilliant impersonation of Jennifer's Friends character, Rachel. And as if that wasn't lovely enough, she's joined by Jennifer herself in a very surprise appearance. nterestingly enough, Jennifer had just said a few days earlier that there would never be an actual Friends reunion. “I don't know what we would do,” she explained. “I think that period of time was sort of nostalgic, you know?” “There was something about a time where our faces weren't shoved into cell phones and we weren't, like checking Facebooks and Instagram, and we were in a room together, or at a coffee shop together, and we were talking.” “And we've lost that.” It makes sense. So really, this video might be the closest thing we'll ever get to new Friends footage for the rest of our lives. Enjoy it!

Lady Gaga Hates the Internet, Admits to Battle with Depression

Lady Gaga recently came out with a music video that served as a public service announcement regarding the issue of campus rape. And now the superstar has come out with an announcement of her own that she also hopes will shed light on a pressing topic. “I’ve suffered through depression and anxiety my entire life, I still suffer with it every single day,” she tells Billboard. “I just want these kids to know that that depth that they feel as human beings is normal. We were born that way. This modern thing, where everyone is feeling shallow and less connected? That‘s not human.” In 2012, Lady Gaga launched a nonprofit for struggling teens called the Born This Way Foundation. She partly blames technology for … well… a lot. “There is something in the way that we are now, with our cell phones and people are not looking at each other and not being in the moment with each other, that kids feel isolated,” the 29-year-old says. “They read all of this extremely hateful language on the Internet. The Internet is a toilet. It is. It used to be a fantastic resource – but you have to sort through sh-t to find the good stuff.” Way back in 2014, Lady Gaga also opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about her personal issues. “I became very depressed at the end of 2013. I was exhausted fighting people off,” she said back then. “I couldn’t even feel my own heartbeat. I was angry, cynical, and had this deep sadness like an anchor dragging everywhere I go. “I just didn’t feel like fighting anymore.” We’re glad she’s fighting now, though, both for herself and for others.
