Today, when Black people talk about economic disenfranchisement, the sentiment is often met with the argument that Blacks should pull themselves up by their bootstraps or stop “being lazy.” In reality though, there were many Blacks, after the abolition of slavery who did just that. And instead of being commended for their efforts, their homes and businesses were bought out or, in most cases, burned down. It happened to a Black enclave called Seneca Village in what is now Central Park. It certainly happened throughout the south. And perhaps, most famously, in Tulsa, Oklahoma in what was known as Black Wall Street, the wealthiest Black community in the United States at the time… Dr. Olivia Hooker was one of the survivors of this racially motivated attack, which she refuses to call a riot. Hooker, who is now 100, was just six-years-old when her community was burned down, destroyed forever. What the catfish hell ?? Female Softball Coach Pretends To Be High School Boy A former teacher’s aide and softball coach for Virginia Beach Public Schools was sentenced Monday, after prosecutors say she tricked students into online relationships. Via WAVY reports: Circuit Court Judge A. Bonwill Shockley sentenced 27-year-old Kyle Lynne Noro of Virginia Beach for one count entice a minor to perform in porn, age 15+, offender 7+ years, according to Macie Pridgen with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Virginia Beach. Noro was arrested in January 2014. In July, she pleaded no contest to the charges, meaning she admits the Commonwealth has enough evidence to prove her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Pridgen said the Commonwealth’s evidence proves Noro, while employed at Princess Anne High School in 2012 and 2013, used false identities to pose as teenage boys on at least 20 Facebook accounts. She bought prepaid cell phones to coordinate with the false identities and befriended several female students online. “She was not really soft spoken. She talked a lot, and when she talked, she kind of made you feel uncomfortable,” said Princess Anne graduate Ryan Sobotta. “She just didn’t seem normal to me.” Posing as “Kevin,” Noro engaged in an online sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl, even arranging for gifts to be delivered to her. Pridgen said Noro sent numerous sexually explicit photos to the victim and convinced her to send hundreds of sexually explicit photos, in return. That relationship went on from August 1, 2013 to Oct. 31 of 2013, around when the victim’s father discovered the online relationship and reported it, according to Virginia Beach police. Later, it was discovered that “Kevin” was Noro. Pridgen said Noro confessed to the crime. “This case is a perfect example of the online predators that can threaten our community,” said Commonwealth’s Attorney for the city of Virginia Beach Collin Stolle. “Parents should continue to talk to their children and teenagers about online safety and encourage teens not to share information with people they don’t personally know. My office will continue to vigorously prosecute those who threaten our children online.” Judge Shockley sentenced Noro to 15 years in prison, with 12 years suspended. After she serves her three years, she must register as a sex offender and receive sex offender treatment. Noro will also not be allowed to use the internet and will be on intensive supervised probation. Pridgen said three years is the mandatory minimum sentence for Noro’s offense. This is gross!!!!

SMH 70 Tennessee Inmates Disciplined For Posting Inappropriate Pics On Facebook Via WSMV The Tennessee Department of Correction launched investigations in 14 prisons and disciplined 70 inmates following a report by the Channel 4 I-Team that showed inmates using drugs and partying behind bars and showing it off on Facebook. The Channel 4 I-Team found more than 100 inmates operating Facebook pages from behind bars – posting photos and videos of convicted criminals claiming to be using drugs, flashing large amounts of cash, partying, hoarding snacks and, in one case, setting a shirt on fire inside a prison cell. The discovery of the Facebook pages raises real questions for correction officials, because inmates don’t have Internet access and cell phones are prohibited. The Channel 4 I-Team found many of the inmates who are enjoying Facebook, communicating with family and friends and sharing pictures are convicted murderers and rapists. In one case Ivan Moreno – who strangled and murdered Bellevue grandmother Mary Sadler – was found on Facebook, showing pictures of himself playing a guitar inside a cell. “My eyes started watering. I started shaking. I couldn’t believe I could see him again,” said Sadler’s granddaughter, Michelle Elliot. Moreno isn’t the only one getting his social swerve on however… The Channel 4 I-Team also found convicted murderer Brandon White, who killed Ryan Wright, posting pictures of his phone and holding $200 cash. “That’s not punishment. That’s not any kind of punishment. It’s just like being out on the outside. It’s still freedom for them,” said Ryan’s mother, Linda Wright. “We can never communicate again. And he (Brandon White) has access to be able to communicate with the outside world.” Welp Linda, the joke’s on you and your family, and the DOC doesn’t seem like they are in a rush to solve the problem The victims’ families said when the criminals were sentenced to prison, they never imagined them posting photos of themselves to Facebook watching TV or burying themselves in junk food. We showed all the pictures and videos to TDOC Assistant Commissioner Tony Parker, who is in charge of security in state prisons. “Is this too extravagant for a guy to have who is behind bars?” Finley asked. “Obviously, this inmate is trying to be flagrant and show off all this property. Obviously, it’s an issue,” Parker said. Finley asked how all this can be happening while correctional officers are watching. “It’s not an issue of not enough correctional officers. It’s an issue of a nationwide problem with cell phones and the struggle to stay on top of it,” Parker said. Pretty weak answer bruh, perhaps you should try again. I was just emailed this story, from someone I can only assume is on FHM’s struggling PR team….trying to save the sinking ship….
