Halloween Round is still going on in Canada, at least in Montreal, because the Mayor decided the weather was bad….and that November 1st was a better day for Halloween, playing God or some shit…so I get to see moms in slutty outfits talking their babies out for candy, despite candy being sugar and thus the devil in this organic quinoa celery juice state and more addictive than heroin in this medicated addict state, and full of waste from single use packaging on fun size candy in this environmentally friendly state….and moms in slutty outfits are fun cuz I know they’ve been cummed in…. I assume that bars and clubs and parties are still doing Halloween this weekend, why wouldn’t they milk it…Halloween after halloween cuz girls don’t dress slutty enough on the daily, even though I’ve seen the coffee shop girl’s nips and ass at least 40 times…last week…girls are whores…but this way they can be thematic whores…whores with a pop culture reference beyond “I saw it on instagram”… So Halloween not deat..here are celebs in Halloween action… Ashley James Bella Thorne Zoey Deutch and Nina Dobrev Vanessa Hudgens Stella Hudgens Sophie Simmons Sofia Richie Paige Spiranac Miley Cyrus Miley with her new “boyfriend” Mariah Carey Madison Beer Madelaine Petsch Lottie Moss Loren Gray Lais Ribeiro Kylie Jenner Kourtney Kardashian Kim Kardashian as Reese Witherspoon Jordyn Jones Jessica Alba January Jones Jade Chynoweth Heidi Klum Gigi Hadid Elsa Hosk HOT as Natalie Portman as a stripper in Closer Elle Fanning Elizabeth Hurley Demi Rose Brie Larson Ariel Winter JOIN THE NEWSLETTER YOU ASSHOLES! Source: Kendall Trott / Kendall Trott/ L-R: Kristin White, Monroe Steele, Starr Rocque, Ashley, Rhonda D. Earlier this year, New York City-based style and travel influencer Monroe Steele posted that she had teamed up with Kristin White , the Mayor of Black Bermuda (joking, but not really), to host a trip to Bermuda in the Fall. I decided to roll solo, but ended up meeting some other dope female solo travelers and Bermudian locals who fell nothing short of #BlackGirlMagic. Let’s start from the beginning. Monroe has been to Bermuda a couple of times and describes it as one of her favorite places in the world. Kristin White is a Bermuda native and renaissance woman who loves to tell stories about people from her island, especially when it comes to Black entrepreneurs, especially women. Kristin is a writer, talk show host, owns a gift shop called Long Story Short , and she hosts history tours. She can count Yara Shahidi ’s family among her happy tour customers. However, Kristin decided to take the concept of her tours to a higher level. Source: Kendall Trott / Kendall Trott After learning that the Bermuda Board of Tourism wanted to attract more African American visitors, which currently stands at 4% , Kristin decided to host a full trip to her island to provide a deeper look into what it has to offer. When most people think of Bermuda, they think of rich White travelers and business people who come to play. While all of the above is true, Kristin also wants travelers to explore the island’s rich African diasporic heritage, as well as its bustling population of Black creatives who are turning their passions into profit and achieving milestones in Black History. So, she slid into Monroe’s DM’s to see if she would be interested in tapping into her follower base to host a group of stylish women on the island and “Untold Stories” was born. Bermuda is a 90 minute flight from JFK. It’s chill, the beaches aren’t overcrowded, and it’s a great place to experience luxury that rivals that of a weekend in the Hamptons. Myself plus two other young stylish Black women joined the fun as we explored Bermuda over a four day weekend. We stayed at the luxurious Hamilton Princess Bermuda and traipsed around the island visiting modern museums, tasting epic food, getting history lessons, and visiting chic Black owned boutiques. Here’s a rundown of places you’ll want to visit when you touch down in Bermuda. A LOT of positivity… Steven Reed Becomes Montgomery’s First Black Mayor A brotha just made history in Alabama in a major way! Steven Reed, a Probate Judge, is Montgomery, Alabama’s first Black Mayor. Reed is replacing current Mayor Todd Strange and won with 67 percent of the votes. He will be sworn into office on Nov. 12. “If there was any doubt about what we can do when we come together, when we unify this city, let the record show tonight, above all, show what we can do when we come together in this city and we build around positivity, around opportunity and all the things that tie us together,” said Reed about his victory according to WSFA. When asked why he thought his campaign resonated with voters, Reed said it was the vision for a united Montgomery. “I think our vision for a better Montgomery. Our vision for a united Montgomery, and our vision to create better opportunities for everyone and I believe our concise vision that was very consistent from the day one is something a lot of people listened to,” Reed said. “I believe people really were attracted to that. They really were interested in some of our ideas and that energy and that enthusiasm that we felt so many days in the community is going to churches, going to community centers, going to neighborhood programs, we felt the energy there and we felt that energy in some unlikely corners for some. So we knew the message was resonating, and we knew that somewhere along the line, we knew that we were making a difference and that we were connecting, and I think that’s why we had the results that we had tonight.” Reed’s win marks the first time in Montgomery’s 200 years that a black Mayor has been elected. It’s especially significant because Montgomery was once called the “cradle of the Confederacy.” Montgomery, Alabama, once known as the cradle of the Confederacy and later the birthplace of the civil rights movement, has elected Steven Reed as its first African American mayor in the city's 200-year history. https://t.co/PjcVnDIRzj pic.twitter.com/898HkTThcj — ABC News (@ABC) October 9, 2019 Congrats to Mayor Reed!
T he Detroit Youth Choir fell short when it came to taking home the America’s Got Talent title, but upon their return to the Motor City, they received a memorable surprise. According to the Detroit Free Press , the choir was awarded $1 million. #BREAKING : The Detroit Youth Choir will get $1 million anyway after its stellar performance on @AGT . https://t.co/uz5qO96wsP — Detroit Free Press (@freep) September 20, 2019 The donation was a collective effort between local businesses and organizations. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan surprised the choir with the gift before scores of people during their homecoming celebration. Amongst the companies who contributed to the donation include the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, the Kresge Foundation, DTE Energy Foundation, Skillman Foundation, Huntington Bank, and Bank of America. Other donors included the Ballmer Group, Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, Dakkota Integrated Systems and the Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation. “I was watching you guys and you and Kodi Lee are on that stage, and my heart’s in my throat,” Mayor Duggan told the youngsters after they returned home. “When they announced it was Kodi Lee, I was a little disappointed for a second. But I was like, ‘He deserves a million dollars; he was great.’ The only thing I thought was unfair was there should’ve been two first prizes.” The America’s Got Talent stage isn’t the only notable one that the predominately Black choir has graced. They’ve performed at several Detroit Pistons games and were a part of the CityLab Detroit summit in 2018. “Our kids are your average Detroit young person,” choir director Anthony White told The Detroit News . “They relate to every young person in America and the world. There are no egos, all of our kids are good kids. We just want to represent to the country how good these young people are.” America’s Got Talent winner Kodi Lee —a musician who is autistic and blind—won $1 million and will perform at the Paris Theater in Vegas. P hiladelphia-bred rapper Meek Mill is no stranger to philanthropy. In the past, the hip-hop star—whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams —has hosted toy giveaways and school drives benefiting children in his hometown. Williams is continuing his mission to inspire and empower the youth in Philly. According to CBS News , he recently unveiled renovated basketball courts in North Philadelphia. Meek Mill joined city officials Saturday afternoon to unveil renovated basketball courts in North Philadelphia. https://t.co/V3zacYqJFu — CBS Philly (@CBSPhilly) August 17, 2019 The project was a collaborative effort between Williams, Puma, Roc Nation and local organizations including the Strawberry Mansion Community Development Corporation, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation. The new courts—which are located at 33rd and Oxford—feature motivational quotes along the sidelines as well as Williams’ “Dreamchasers” logo. During the unveiling ceremony, the “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper thanked those who helped bring the project to fruition and played basketball with the children who were in attendance. Williams says he’s happy to have the platform and resources to give back to his community. “North Philly will always be home. When kids go to East Fairmount Park, they deserve to ball in the best conditions possible, so I’m glad they’ll have that opportunity now,” he said when announcing the project last year. Leaders of the initiative are beyond thankful for his continued commitment to uplift the youth in Philadelphia. “A lot of people make it, come back for a minute, get a little cameras and then they’re gone,” said Philadelphia City Council President Darrell Clarke in a statement. “My man, he keeps coming back and I’m loving it.” Williams has been making power moves beyond music this year. He was named co-owner of the sports apparel brand Lids and he has continued to fight for criminal justice reform by joining forces with lawmakers to propose a probation and parole reform bill . His 12-year gun and drug case recently came to an end. T he city of Atlanta has made a major stride in combating homelessness. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution , Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced that $50 million has been raised to build houses for over 500 families who are without shelter. Mayor @KeishaBottoms announced that Atlanta had reached its goal of raising $50 million to provide 550 homes for the city’s homeless population. https://t.co/qeBTn1YlE5 — AJC (@ajc) August 26, 2019 The HomeFirst Atlanta initiative—which was launched in 2017 when former Mayor Kasim Reed was in office—was created after Atlanta’s largest shelter shuttered. The shelter served over 500 individuals each night. In an effort to develop a sustainable solution for the homeless population, community leaders and political officials teamed up with the United Way Regional Commission on Homelessness and Invest Atlanta to develop a fund that would provide housing so that individuals could focus on rebuilding their lives. Half of the $50 million came from the Homeless Opportunity Bond sale led by Reed and the rest of the funds were from private donors. Bottoms believes that this collaborative effort will make lasting changes in the lives of individuals who need assistance. “HomeFirst will create 550 units of permanent supportive housing that will be part of larger developments that will contribute, in aggregate, more than 2,500 units of affordable housing,” she said in a statement, according to The Atlanta Voice . “We are building a compassionate community of trusted partners who approach homelessness in a strategic, transparent and accountable way. The results show that it is working.” Organizers of the initiative are aiming to make resources more accessible for those struggling with homelessness. “It is a miss-perception that many people have: that homelessness is represented entirely by the people they see on the streets,” Jack Hardin , Co-Chair of the Atlanta Regional Commission on Homelessness told the news outlet. “A far larger proportion of people experiencing homelessness have incomes and function at very high levels, but live on the margins of the economics of our society and any hardship can derail.” There have been several projects launched in Atlanta to combat the city’s homelessness issue. Earlier this year, Gwinnett officials awarded nearly $1 million to an organization that had plans to build two shelters in the county. Blake Horstmann continued to make the most of his time back in the spotlight on Monday night’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise. In the most irritating of ways. Last week, of course, Blake opened Season 6 of this ABC franchise by revealing he had previously hooked up with both Caelynn and Kristina, prior to exposing the former’s text messages to him as a way to defend his honor. It was such a very not cool move. How did the series follow-up that bombshell yesterday evening? By airing the first rose ceremony of the season, as the stars wondered whose rose Hannah G. would accept after discovering early connections with Blake and Dylan. The latter asked her put first, so Hannah chose Dylan and Blake ended up giving his rose to Tayshia, with whom he’d gone out on the premiere. But she wasn’t all that into the polarizing suitor. “There’s no way I can trust him,” Tayshia said in an on-camera interview, both candidly and intelligently. The inaugural rose ceremony then resulted in Bibiana, Annaliese and Jane being sent home. With this trio out, new contestants were flown in. The switcheroo started with Jordan from Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette . He had gotten engaged to Jenna during Bachelor in Paradise Season 5 … only to break things off with her upon learning she’d allegedly been seeing another man. Ouch . Despite this apparent heartbreak, Jordan was oozing confidence the moment he returned. Equipped with a date card, he pulled aside Hannah, Nicole and Kristina, quickly learning all about the mess that Blake created. Was Hannah involved with two men? Yes. Did Jordan care? Not one bit. “This is my beach and on my la playa, I do as I please,” Jordan told the cameras. “So if Hannah’s the one that I want to take on this date, Hannah’s going.” This was clearly an attractive pitch, but Hannah turned him down, saying she simply can’t date three people. Watch Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 Episode 3 Online For this, Jordan directed his wrath at Blake. “I just came back to my beach and talked to a couple of girls and they’re all tearing up over this attachment to Blake,” he said, adding: “So Blake’s the problem. He’s just leading them all on and he thinks that that’s not hurting anybody, but in the end, that’s gonna hurt several people. Not for long. This has got to be put to an end because in my position as the mayor, I’m here to look out for the community. “I’m disappointed. I didn’t come to Blake in Paradise season 1. This is Bachelor in Paradise season 6.” Jordan proceeded to confront Blake. “I just walked into Paradise and on my f-cking beach – this is my beach — and got turned down on a date,” he began. When Blake told his nemesis that it had just been a “crazy” few days, Jordon told him to shape up, “hammer it out one by one” and fix everything. After again declaring himself the “mayor of Paradise,” Jordan went zip-lining with Nicole. “He surprised me so much today,” Nicole told the cameras. “I was like, wait he’s a normal guy?” Speaking of normal and awesome guys… Mike from the most recent season of The Bachelorette also showed up this week. How was he feeling after nearly proposing to Hannah Brown? “It took me some time to make a complete decision,” Mike told Chris Harrison. “The point of going on The Bachelorette was to find love. I kind of got blindsided a little bit so I had to make sure that my heart was ready, my mind was ready. I feel that I am completely ready and excited for what’s to come.” Mike quickly caught Onyeka’s eye, grabbing both her and Caelynn to talk before making his choice. It ended up being Caelynn, as the pair enjoyed a romantic dinner together. “This may very well be our last first date,” Mike said in an on-camera admission, a sentiment echoed by Caelynn. “Mike makes me giddy,” she said. “Mike makes me smile and I have not felt this giddy and this happy in Paradise. I expected him to be great, but he’s even exceeded those expectations.” Back on the beach, Blake claimed to Hannah that he was “all in,” talking a very good game by adding: “I wouldn’t be saying the things I’m saying unless I see something past paradise.” So these two danced and kissed, prompting Dylan to eventually step in. “I just kind of want to focus on Hannah,” he told Blake in front of Hannah. “I’ve expressed to her now that I clear[ed] all that up, and I am here for her and I’m pursuing her man,” Blake fired back. “That dude is a psycho,” Dylan replied under his breath as he backed away. Hannah’s decision to stick with Blake stunned their castmates, leaving Dylan wondering if she’d been honest with him from the start. “Did they date before this or something?” he wondered of Hannah and Blake. Expect that question to be answered on tonight’s episode. View Slideshow: The Bachelor & The Bachelorette Cast: Their Hottest Swimsuit Photos Ever!

Source: Spencer Platt / Getty Eric Garner Killer Daniel Pantaleo Suspended The man who killed Eric Garner , Officer Daniel Pantaleo, has been suspended while NYPD Deputy Commissioner and departmental administrative judge Rosemarie Maldonado decides whether or not he should be fired according to GulfNews . Pantaleo used a chokehold that had been banned by the department and ignored Garner’s pleas for breath while he was being arrested for harmless cigarette sales. NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill suggested Pantaleo be fired and the community is encouraged by better-late-than-never semblance of justice: “Today, we finally saw a step toward justice and accountability,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio, who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination. “And I hope that this will now bring the Garner family a sense of closure and the beginning of some peace,” he added. Firing is the bare minimum of consequences that Pantaleo should face. We’d much rather see him in a prison cell than on LinkedIn.
