Kate Middleton or Prince William don’t know if they are having a boy or girl, and thus, any reports claiming to know their second child’s name are dubious. The palace tells E! News , “The couple do not know what the sex of the baby is!” So despite some reports saying that the Duchess of Cambridge is having a girl named Diana – an easy rumor to want to believe for many – it’s untrue. Or even if it is true that they’re considering it, they still don’t know it’s a girl yet. As for why Kate Middleton and her husband picked that name (supposedly), a source told celebrity gossip magazine OK! that it was an easy call. Diana got the nod since they “felt they needed to go with something very traditional, like Elizabeth or Mary, and that had a lot of meaning to them.” Elizabeth has even more meaning … according to people gambling on this. Ladbrokes, a British-based gaming company, currently handicaps Diana at 12/1, while Elizabeth is the odds on favorite at 5/1 (and we love Britain). Whomever he or she may be, the Duchess, who is nearly seven months pregnant, told a 17-year-old girl last month that she can feel her baby kicking. “It’s moving all the time,” Kate said in January. “I can feel it kicking now.” The 33-year-old Middleton added that she didn’t know the sex of the baby back then either, hence her referring to little George’s future sibling as “it.” She and William, also 33, reportedly didn’t know if George would be a boy or girl either until that magical moment in the delivery room when the heir arrived.
