Kim Kardashian is doing her part to help those affected by last week’s deadly typhoon in the Philippines . Her pretty small part, that is. The reality star announced on her blog Thursday that she’s auctioning off clothing on eBay , with the money raised being sent to a charity that benefits those in this ravaged area. Kim Kardashian Auctioning Off Clothes For Charity A very good idea and a very good cause, right? Absolutely. “The proceeds will go directly to the communities they’re serving in the Philippines and will help typhoon survivors get access to medical care and ultimately save lives,” Kardashian writes on her Celebuzz blog. But Kim fails to mention the fine print on the auction pages: only 10 percent of the final sales price will go to the International Medical Corps. A whole 10 percent. “My prayers and thoughts are with those affected by the typhoon. Check out my eBay auction and support those who need out help in the Philippines.” While her clothes will certainly yield a lot of money and even 10 percent of that is better than nothing, somehow it seems like a wasted opportunity to do more. To learn more about the International Medical Corps, visit internationalmedicalcorps.org. You may find that you wish to simply give directly to that charity instead of lining Kim’s pockets with 90 percent of your purchase from her auction. Really. Hasn’t she made enough off the Kim Kardashian sex tape already?
