Just when we thought the feud between Kris and Caitlyn Jenner was all patched up, it seems that the relationship between the embattled exes has actually deteriorated to its lowest point yet. Sources say the meeting between Kris and Caitlyn that was filmed for I Am Cait was actually all for show and the competition between the Jenners has only heated up in the weeks since. I Am Cait was a ratings flop , but sources say Kris still feels as though she’s “losing” the battle for the public’s affection due to the media’s overwhelmingly favorable coverage of Caitlyn. In fact, according to Radar Online Kris is inconsolably depressed over the situation, and her family and friends are at a loss over how to help her snap out of it. “She never smiles anymore,” says one insider. “Before she would always be the life and soul of any gathering, bringing people out of their shells, smoothing over any arguments among her kids and adding a real sparkle to any occasion.” The source adds that Kris has been drinking more than ever, and that the booze only adds to her despondency. “She can barely summon up the energy to lift up her martini glass,” the insider claims. “Kris is deflated, defeated and getting increasingly down in the dumps. She just can’t reconcile the fact that this glamorous woman used to be her masculine Olympic-hero husband — and is now getting unfairly compared to her in every way. “Poor Kris is a shadow of her former self and it seems she’ll never recover from this.” Obviously, it sounds like Kris is in an extremely dark place, but she doesn’t strike us as the type to wallow for very long. In fact, it’s been rumored that Kris is planning to marry boyfriend Corey Gamble and (of course) feature the wedding on an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians!
