But tension created as the result of incessant church bell ringing?!? Don’t laugh, argues John Devaney. This Rhode Island resident recently split from his wife and says the marriage fell apart because the bells at St. Thomas More Parish ring approximately 700 times per week. The couple could not stop arguing as a result of the noise and Devaney has actually filed a lawsuit to cut down on the number of daily chimes. We are not making this up.
