After twice the amount of Battle Round performances, The Voice has found its Top 20 here in Season 6 as seven contestants advanced to the playoffs. With Coldplay frontman Chris Martin offering expertise as guest mentor for all four coaches, the remaining singers sang for their lives Monday night. Singing garbageman Ryan Whyte Maloney topped classical guitarist Kaleigh Glanton, thanks to Blake opting for Ryan’s raw power over Kaleigh’s creativity. Bartender Jake Barker edged nursing student Brittnee Camelle, as simplu just has that quality that makes Adam feel like he needs to hear more. Bluesy Bria Kelly defeated Madilyn Paige on “I’ll Stand By You,” with Usher opting to take Bria and leaving Blake to steal Madilyn to finish out his team.
