The stakes were higher than ever on The Voice Monday night, as the top eight took the stage competing your votes and five spots in next week’s installment. That’s right, THREE singers are going home tonight, and while there will clearly be some dissent no matter who goes home, the favorites did shine Monday. Let’s break down the performances we saw, shall we? The Voice Top 8 Performances Open Slideshow 1. Perhaps she’s just swooning hard over the fact that Juan Pablo said “I love you” (allegedly), but Nikki Ferrell might be getting a bit carried away here. The Bachelor winner has been pinning up a storm on a Pinterest board titled “My Someday Wedding.” Yup, she’s already planning her Big Day. Uh oh. We’re likely reading too much into this, since Pinterest is so successful because it allows people to indulge in lifestyle fantasies of all kinds online, Pretty much every 20-something female loves that site, and “someday” doesn’t imply that she’s holding her breath for Juan Pablo Galavis to propose. At least we hope not. If she is daydreaming about a wedding with Juan Pablo, she may want to cool her heels a bit, although what do we know really? They’re still together! The whole world has been waiting for them to break up any second since the moment The Bachelor finale aired. Clearly, that has not taken place. It was all but accepted that by the time The Bachelorette premiered, these two would be over. Now, with a month and a half to go, it’s … less clear! Sure, there have been rumors – Juan Pablo getting Nikki Ferrell pregnant , him cheating on her with Lena Lowell – but they actually seem (gasp) happy. We still doubt they’ll tie the knot and are all but certain that they’d never get married on ABC if that day did come, but we wish them all the best. Think it’ll last? Vote: Yes. Forever and ever. They are made for each other. Maybe for awhile. Don’t count them out. LOLOLOLOLOL View Poll » Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell Photos: True Love? Open Slideshow 1. So, this one-week “switch up” will give the celebrities and pros a reprieve. It’s the second straight such respite, really, since Billy Dee Williams took himself out of the running a week ago. The Voice kicked off Season 6 with a wealth of talent last night, with Adam Levine seeking his third title and Blake Shelton his fourth on the NBC show. Adam may have the upper hand, having snagged Christina Grimmie and Dawn & Hawkes, but Usher secured a key team member Monday as well. Bria Kelly, 17, threw it DOWN with a growling version of James Taylor’s “Steamroller Blues” that had all four judges vying for her. See why here: Bria Kelly: “Steamroller Blues” (The Voice Audition) Just how awe-struck were the fab four by what they’d just witnessed? “O-M-G,” a stunned Levine remarked. “I can’t believe that was you doing that. You haven’t been alive long enough to feel the pain that you were showing up there.” But Usher dragged out a Grammy to lure the breakout star. It worked. He wasted no time throwing it in his fellow coaches faces, dancing in front of Levine with delight when Bria Kelly accepted his invite to join Team Usher.
