A judge this week lifted Battle’s bail restrictions, and he now can leave lockup if he pays $50,000 cash. Prosecutors believe Battle — who’d worked with the likes of Eminem and Chris Brown — used his position as an upstate New York church youth group leader to groom, and then sexually molest teen boys. He is facing 10 counts of first-degree felony sex abuse for allegedly repeatedly abusing two boys in his youth groups at two Rochester, N.Y.-area Baptist churches. The bail news comes as Battle, 36, faces new charges for sex abuse in Kentucky. Battle was indicted in Boyle County, Ky. for four counts of felony unlawful transactions with a minor in the first degree – illicit sex acts with someone under the age of 16, according to the Boyle County Clerks Office. The producer will be extradited to Kentucky once his trial finishes in New York. Battle has been held at the Monroe County Jail since July. As of Friday, Battle had not posted bail. A spokeswoman for the Monroe County, NY District Attorney, which is handling the case, said Battle is due back in court next month for a so-called “Huntley Hearing,” where the defense will examine how police got their statements from Battle, and whether those statements can be used at trial.
