I’m Cindy and I’m 18 years old. I can’t even fathom that I’m actually here, sending an email about my experience, that I actually met Justin. I’ve been a fan of him for the past 3 years and every day of those 3 years I did everything to try and meet Justin. I’ve emailed Ellen countless times, submitted videos, tweeted Justin, handed notes at concerts, waited hours for him, etc. One day while I was on tumblr I saw a “Justin Bieber BIGGEST fan” VEVO contest, only thing it said “LA residents only.” Regardless, I entered and told them about how much my idol meant to me and 15 minutes later I received a call from them. They told me I had a really good chance at meeting Justin and to submit another video. I recorded another video and started to lose hope when May 1st came along. The final recording was held the next day and I hadn’t gotten an email. I gave it one last shot and checked my messages and I saw that I was selected to come down to LA and be recorded for VEVO for a chance at meeting Justin Bieber. I felt so humbled and blessed, but I didn’t know how I was going to get to LA on such short notice especially since I live 6 hours away. I used my money I had been saving for my Believe concert tickets to drive down that night. I didn’t have anyone to stay with so I stayed in a motel. With only one hour of sleep, I headed over to the studio which is where the recordings were being held, a few ladies took a liking to me which made me feel more comfortable. They had a huge snack table and the recording area looked so professional like a music video! I felt so worn down and exhausted but nothing else mattered because I knew I was there for my idol. Me and 3 other fans were recorded lip syncing BABY and then one by one we went up for an interview. While I was there, one of the ladies gave me an email to contact because she told me Justin was having an event tomorrow at MTV. Without hesitation I contacted the email and got information about the event. I felt like my odds were high and I left feeling proud of myself for believing in this so much. Money was running low and I was afraid I had to head home because I had no where to stay but I pinched out my last few bucks and managed to find a place. The next morning I received all the information I needed and the location. It was held around 2:30pm PST and I arrived at the location, waiting while each of us got a number and pass. We all headed up the elevator and then sent to a room that had snacks for us to eat while we waited for them to fix up the area. At around 3, we were all led into the room where the BOYFRIEND premier was held on MTV. It was amazing to be there and then we all met Sway. We were all lined up and told what to do. The questions asked were already picked before we went on air which was a bit unfair, since they just chose random people based on their number. Sway rehearsed a few times with a fake Justin, and we all got the feel of what it was going to be like. Around 4:30pm we saw Kenny enter and that’s when we knew Justin was here! Justin headed in a car and once he stepped out we all applauded. He walked down the red carpet and handed out a few hugs to fans and when he was right in front of me I was able to touch his back hoping he’d turn around and give me a hug. As the interview proceeded, BOYFRIEND was finally shown and during the video, Justin was so immobilized by his video. It was so cute to see how proud he looked. After the show ended Justin said with a huge smile on his face, “You guys want pictures?” White Kenny told Justin no and that he had to leave, but Justin refused and stayed to take a photo with each and every one of us. When standing in line I had no idea what I wanted to say, but it came naturally when I was right in front of him. White Kenny took my photo and walking up to Justin I said, “It has been my biggest dream to meet you.” He told me, “Awww well I’m glad it finally happened.” He gave me a kiss on the cheek and we took a photo. I hugged him so tight and I can’t tell you how proud I felt to be there. After the photo I said, “Never say never right?” Justin smiled at me and told me, “Exactly.” He’s the sweetest person and really is grounded. After I got to meet Kenny and we talked about his braces and he was so kind and introduced himself to me and shook my hand. We took a photo and I then went back and took a few other fans photos for them. Justin you’re amazing, there’s so much more I wanted to say to you but I’m happy I got to say what came from my heart. You’re amazing and I never thought this would happen, no one believed in me..but I never gave up.
