Harrison Ford Undergoes Surgery For Broken Bones Suffered In Plane Crash This could have been WAY worse… Via NYDailyNews Harrison Ford underwent surgery to repair a broken ankle and pelvis Thursday after he used his piloting know-how to crash land his World War II-era plane onto a Los Angeles area golf course, according to a report. The 72-year-old actor was in “fair to moderate condition” Thursday night, the Los Angeles Fire Department said He went under the knife about four hours after the 2:30 p.m. crash, a source close to the family told KTLA. Ford suffered multiple gashes to his head, causing witnesses at the scene to say they barely recognized the celebrity. He also had scraped arms, but it was not clear what internal injuries he may have suffered, Los Angeles Assistant Fire Chief Pat Butler told the Associated Press. “He wasn’t a bloody mess,” Butler said. “He was alert. He had good vitals.” Ford’s injuries are “not life threatening and he is expected to make a full recovery,” spokeswoman Ina Treciokas said in a statement Thursday. Image via AP Get well soon, sir.
