NBA Bans “Ninja-Style” Headbands Ahead Of Upcoming Season

Source: Hannah Foslien / Getty The NBA has gone through several stylistic changes over the decades, with athletes introducing their own flair to the standard uniforms at various intervals. However, those expecting the so-called “Ninja-style” headband accessory to gain traction will be disappointed to know that the league is banning the look ahead of the season. ESPN reports : Several players — including the Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, the New Orleans Pelicans’ Jrue Holiday, the LA Clippers’ Montrezl Harrell, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns and the Brooklyn Nets’ Jarrett Allen — regularly wore the headgear a season ago. The NBA never had a formal process to approve the headgear, and allowed players to wear it during the 2018-19 season because, spokesman Mike Bass told ESPN, “We didn’t want to cause a disruption by intervening midseason.” The NBA notified teams in May that the headbands wouldn’t be a part of this season’s approved uniforms. The NBA’s competition committee discussed the headwear as part of its meetings in Chicago on Monday. A source told ESPN that some members expressed concerns on safety, including the looseness of the headwear. Yeah, we don’t want any player to get injured by an errant headband on the court (insert sarcasm). — Photo: Getty

Read the original:

Andy King has seen all of your FYRE Fest memes — and he loves them! pic.twitter.com/mCNgDoHpjW — Netflix US (@netflix) January 29, 2019 If you watched Netflix’s Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened there were definitely some key moments that stuck out. Andy King , for instance, was thisclose to giving a custom official a blowjob in exchange for drinking water…at the behest of fraudulent Fyre founder Billy McFarland . Going viral in what are some of the most hilarious memes to ever hit the internet, King says he’s seen all the commentary and doesn’t want to be known as the “blowjob king of the world” — but would like to use all the attention to somehow help the local Bahamians who were cheated out of tons of cash. “I just don’t want to be necessarily known as the blowjob king of the world,” he informed Netflix in a follow-up interview, adding “I’m blown away with the response of the documentary. Completely blown away. I’m now a noun, a verb, an adjective. It’s mind-boggling.” Hilariously, King didn’t even know what it meant when someone reached out to tell him he was “trending.” “One of our biggest goals” he continued, “is paying back everybody in the Bahamas…if I can drive positive influences and a lot of positive energy towards social and environmental impact, which is what I base my business on, then I think I can utilize this moment to do a lot of good.” Watch the quick clip up top.

Source: PYMCA / Getty Word is Tekashi 6ix9ine is already dropping dime on his former associates. A few members of the Brownsville rapper’s entourage have been charged with shooting at Chief Keef.  According to TMZ ,  Kintea McKenzie ,  Anthony Ellison  and  Denard Butler  have indicted in crimes that all share a connection to Tekashi69. Reportedly, McKenzie, who also goes by Kooda B, was indicted soon after Tekashi spoke to investigators, and he was tagged as the shooter in the incident that occurred in Times Square last June. No one was injured, but afterwards footage was revealed of Tekashi essentially putting a $30K bounty on Chief Keef’s cousin, Tadoe . However, according to the authorities, McKenzie was paid $10K to shoot Sosa, but fortunately for the Chicago rapper he missed. McKenzie is still on the lam. Currently, Ellison is in custody for allegedly kidnapping Tekashi (seriously, back in July 2018 ) while Butler got picked up by ATF just today (Jan. 30). Tekashi has been in the clink since November and is facing federal racketeering charges. Considering the Brownsville rapper was an admitted troll and truly not ’bout that life, expect him to keep singing. Otherwise, he’s looking at 32 years to life in prison . — Photo: Getty

Maci Bookout: New Evidence of Fake Custody Battle Emerges

Earlier this week, Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout was accused of lying to fans of the show in order to create a more dramatic storyline for herself for the show’s current season. Eagle-eyed viewers claimed that the custody battle between Maci and Ryan Edwards had been faked for the cameras, and the exes had actually reached an amicable co-parenting arrangement. Now, new evidence has emerged indicating that Ryan and Maci have, in fact, been sharing custody of their son Bentley for several months, all the while pretending to be at one another’s throats over the question of who will raise the boy. According to the show, the timeline of Ryan and Maci’s custody battle goes something like this: Back in June  Ryan checked into rehab immediately after marrying Mackenzie Standifer. He left treatment three weeks later, and immediately attacked Maci on social media with a vulgar meme. Thus began one of the ugliest fights for custody in the illustrious history of the Teen Mom franchise. Or so viewers have been led to believe… The above image was posted in a Teen Mom message board on Reddit earlier this week. The poster claims it offers conclusive evidence that Ryan and Maci are lying about the severity of their feud. On the show, Maci and Bentley visited Ryan on Father’s Day at his parents’ house. Ryan and Maci got into a fight; she left, and he supposedly didn’t see Bentley for several months afterward. “Maci’s storyline this season is total BS,” the viewer wrote on Reddit. “Go figure lol. Here are some pictures with dates proving that Bentley has been able to see his dad and grandparents regularly since July. Tomorrow’s episode takes place at the end of October where Ryan supposedly hasn’t seen him since Father’s Day.” Yes, it does seem that either Ryan is posting old photos of himself with Bentley, or he’s lying about going several months without seeing his son. The same viewer claimed that changes were made to Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s storyline in post-production. Meanwhile, Maci has moved on to a dramatic storyline. On a recent episode of the show Bookout revealed that she suffered a miscarriage , and thus, has concerns about getting pregnant again. While the miscarriage took place several months ago, fans were not made aware of it until recently. Watch Teen Mom OG online for more on Maci’s many struggles.
