Ryan Edwards, Still in Rehab, Misses Bentley’s 10th Birthday

If you’re a Teen Mom fan, especially one who’s been following the show since the beginning, brace yourself … Bentley Edwards just turned 10. Doesn’t that make you feel about ten million years old yourself? Maci Bookout’s little boy just had his 10th birthday, which means that MTV has been following her life story for just over a decade. She was featured in the very first episode of 16 and Pregnant — remember that? It aired in the summer of 2009, and it was an intense series premiere, to say the least. In that episode, we saw Maci as a high school student who’d gotten knocked up by her older boyfriend, Ryan Edwards. They had fun together, and she clearly wanted to have a real family with him, but even then, he just wasn’t that interested. From the very beginning though, Maci proved herself to be a great mom , stepping up to take care of baby Bentley and doing the best she could to give him a good life. When Teen Mom started up and showed her life in more detail, she quickly became a fan favorite, as did Bentley. We saw her deal with Ryan staying out all night and refusing to do pretty much anything for their child . By the end of the first season, she dumped him, thank goodness. As the years went on, Bentley did have a relationship with Ryan, but mostly because of Ryan’s parents, who have always doted on Bentley. But Maci was always there, and because of her, he’s grown to be a sweet, funny, darling little boy. Except he’s not so little anymore, huh? To celebrate his big day, she shared a sweet photo of them together on Instagram: And the caption she wrote to go along with the picture … Well, if you tear up, it’s only natural. She kicked things off by announcing “My baby turned 10 today!”, and then things got real cute, real quick. “This boy has brought me more love than one soul could imagine, more laughter than my cheeks can handle, and more pride than I deserve,” she wrote. “When I say ‘He is a good one’ … I mean it.” She explained that Bentley is “as smart, funny, and athletic as they come,” but those aren’t his best qualities. “He is a good one because he is kind to everyone and loves with his whole heart,” she said. “I am so proud of this young man and the human being that he is.” She finished her message off with “Bentley, you rock buddy! You’ll always be my baby.” And her followers arrived in droves to join in on wishing him a happy birthday. “Happiest of birthdays, Bentley!” one of them commented. “You’re 10?! I can’t believe I’ve been watching you and your strong mama’s story for this long.” “My heart is so full!” another fan wrote. “Maci you’re amazing and Benny is so very blessed to have you as a mom!” Tons and tons of people left simpler, but still very sweet, “Happy birthday!” messages, including Kailyn Lowry and Chelsea Houska. And others couldn’t help but mention Ryan and his absence. See, Ryan has been in rehab since the beginning of the month, at least. Reports have claimed that he’ll stay there until next February or March, so it’s likely he’s doing six months of treatment. We still don’t have a lot of information on it, so there’s no word on if it was court-ordered or not. But we do know that he missed the birth of his first child with wife Mackenzie Standifer , so court-ordered or not, he seems to be taking it seriously. And since he the day of his second son’s actual birth, of course he missed Bentley’s birthday, too. “What an amazing young man you’re raising, in spite of daddy issues,” applauded one of Maci’s followers. “Congrats on making it 10 years Maci!” another wrote. “You did it! Without Ryan.” “You’re raising a good boy despite his dad not being there. Good job!” As one person pointed out, since Ryan’s been a “useless dad,” she can “take the credit for how perfect he’s turned out.” Someone else said that “It’s not easy being a momma with a baby daddy that isn’t worth a piece of [poop emoji].” It’s true that Ryan has never been very active in Bentley’s life — like we said earlier, if it weren’t for his parents, who knows if he’d be around at all. View Slideshow: Ryan Edwards’ Parents: We’re So Afraid He’ll Relapse But hopefully all the treatment he’s getting now will help him be a better father than he’s ever been. And when he comes home sometime a few months from now, he’ll be able to fully appreciate what a great family he has. Happy birthday, Bentley!

Corinne Olympios: Colton Underwood is LYING About Being a Virgin!

Back in June, Bachelor Villain (or perhaps misunderstood Bachelor Hero?) Corinne Olympios lamented that The Bachelorette totally sucks now . Well, it sounds like she’s not feeling super optimistic about The Bachelor , either, with Colton Underwood as the leading man . Not only does she think that someone else would be better, but she doesn’t buy Colton’s claim to be a virgin for a second . On Wednesday, September 26, Corinne Olympios did an interview on the Domenick Nati Show. And she has some doubts about the indecisive jock whom ABC has selected as the next Bachelor. “I just have some insincere feelings I get from him,” Corinne explains. “So, we’ll see how that pans out,” Corinne says before explaining what she thinks is so insincere about him. “I do think that [his virginity] was a lie,” Corinne admits. “I don’t know why, but I just don’t buy it.” Corinne isn’t convinced that Colton is completely honest, but she shares who her pick for the Bachelor would have been. “I liked Blake a lot,” she shares. “I totally thought it should have been Blake.” Blake Horstmann is a very popular dude. That said, Corinne says that she totally understands why the producers settled on Colton. “But, you know, I think Colton was a crowd favorite,” Corinne acknowledges. “And that’s really what they’re interested in.” Corinne also has some advice for Colton — or for anyone else who might fill those shoes. “Don’t let the fame get to your head,” Corinne advises. She would know — she’s been in the orbits of a lot of men from the Bachelor franchise. Corinne shares: “I don’t like guys that get cocky after that.” Honestly, who does? Colton’s virginity could change a lot about this upcoming season of The Bachelor . But, as he recently explained to Ellen, it won’t be as awkward as people make it out to be. “You could do more in the fantasy suites than just have sex,” Colton points out. A lot of Bachelor couples use the fantasy suites to speak without a camera for the first time. That can be important. Or, as Colton suggests: “I mean, we could play board games, we could hang out.” We don’t necessarily suggest that Colton play a board game. He and those final candidates to become his fiancee should really get to know one another. Though many would be horrified at the idea of becoming engaged to someone without having sex first, we’re not saying that sex is mandatory. Instead, he and the women can talk one-on-one without cameras or judgment. That could really help him to make a decision. And, quite frankly, it could help the women decide if they want to accept his potential proposal. After a while, they might decide that they, too, don’t think that he’s being entirely honest. Maci Bookout & Taylor McKinney: We’re Adopting a Baby!!!

It’s been a rough year for Maci Bookout. The Teen Mom OG fan favorite has been forced to deal with the nightmare of trying to keep her family safe from her increasingly troubled ex, Ryan Edwards, while at the same time ensuring that 9-year-old Bentley, her son with Edwards, continues to have a relationship with his father. On top of being forced to file for a restraining order that temporarily prevented Edwards from contacting Bentley , Maci has grappled with some deeply painful setbacks in her efforts to expand her family. Late last year,  Bookout suffered a miscarriage , and she spoke about the painful ordeal in a memorable episode of TMOG . But the tragedy hasn’t deterred Maci or her husband Taylor McKinney from working toward welcoming a new family member. The McKinneys have been considering the possibility of adoption for several years, and this week, Maci gave a candid interview in which she revealed that they’re closer than ever to  “We are definitely still wanting to adopt. We don’t really have, like, a timeframe or, like, an exact answer,” Bookout told Us Weekly . “I feel like when we know to start the process, we will start it, but for now we’re happy with where we’re at.” Needless to say, fans were pleased to hear Maci speaking about her future with such excitement and optimism after such a difficult year. Equally encouraging is the fact that Maci says she has every intention of working with Ryan and his parents in order to ensure that Bentley has as much support from the adults in his life as possible. “I don’t think that there will ever come a time when we’re unable to co-parent with Jen and Larry,” she told Us . “Mainly because we don’t let our feelings get in the way of what’s important and the relationships that are necessary for Bentley to have. “It’s really just a matter of keeping the line of communication open and also making sure that we aren’t telling too much or giving too much of our feelings or opinions,” she said. “It’s more about information, rather than speaking about his dad because at the end of the day, Ryan is still his dad.” Asked how she and Taylor intend to approach the ongoing problem of Ryan, Maci had this to say: “Neither one of us want to ever put some sort of barrier between the possibility of a better relationship when it comes to Ryan and Bentley.” This is surely been one of the more challenging years of Maci’s life, but her attitude remains a silver lining amidst a number of dark clouds. Maci Bookout Opens Up on Ryan Edwards Arrest: I Wish He Was Still In Jail!

Maci Bookout is in a difficult spot. Her first baby daddy, Ryan Edwards, has been arrested three times in the past 18 months and is currently facing a year in prison if convicted on the latest charges against him. Maci currently has a restraining order against Edwards as a result of an incident in which he allegedly threatened to murder her husband. It may sound like she can now easily wash her hands of her troubled ex — but it’s not that simple. Bookout has made it clear that she very much wants her eldest son, Bentley, to have a relationship with his father. Unfortunately, she wants more than anything to ensure her son’s safety. And for the time being at least, that means keeping him away from Ryan. Maci has mostly kept quiet about Edwards’ struggles with addiction , but she opened up this week in an interview for Kailyn Lowry’s Coffee Convos podcast. Her comments on Ryan’s legal issues underscore Maci’s conflicting feelings toward her ex. “I’ll be honest, I have no idea what state he’s in because he’s not allowed to be around any of us. He can’t just be in the same location as me and the family,” she told Lowry. “So I have no idea. He’s not allowed to contact us or anything like that. But I mean, he did get arrested, I don’t know … I mean, I do know why, but I don’t want to say.” Bookout then revealed that she actually felt better about the situation when Ryan was held in jail for a week last month. “I feel better that he is in jail because I know he’s safe there, if that makes sense,” Maci said. “I know he’s not driving around. He’s not doing something that could potentially hurt him or an innocent person. So it sucks, crappy situation for everyone.” Edwards is currently out on bail and serving six months probation. He’s due back in court on August 23 to be tried for his latest probation violation. View Slideshow: Ryan Edwards: SENTENCED on Heroin Charges! Released From Jail!

Maci Bookout: New Evidence of Fake Custody Battle Emerges

Earlier this week, Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout was accused of lying to fans of the show in order to create a more dramatic storyline for herself for the show’s current season. Eagle-eyed viewers claimed that the custody battle between Maci and Ryan Edwards had been faked for the cameras, and the exes had actually reached an amicable co-parenting arrangement. Now, new evidence has emerged indicating that Ryan and Maci have, in fact, been sharing custody of their son Bentley for several months, all the while pretending to be at one another’s throats over the question of who will raise the boy. According to the show, the timeline of Ryan and Maci’s custody battle goes something like this: Back in June  Ryan checked into rehab immediately after marrying Mackenzie Standifer. He left treatment three weeks later, and immediately attacked Maci on social media with a vulgar meme. Thus began one of the ugliest fights for custody in the illustrious history of the Teen Mom franchise. Or so viewers have been led to believe… The above image was posted in a Teen Mom message board on Reddit earlier this week. The poster claims it offers conclusive evidence that Ryan and Maci are lying about the severity of their feud. On the show, Maci and Bentley visited Ryan on Father’s Day at his parents’ house. Ryan and Maci got into a fight; she left, and he supposedly didn’t see Bentley for several months afterward. “Maci’s storyline this season is total BS,” the viewer wrote on Reddit. “Go figure lol. Here are some pictures with dates proving that Bentley has been able to see his dad and grandparents regularly since July. Tomorrow’s episode takes place at the end of October where Ryan supposedly hasn’t seen him since Father’s Day.” Yes, it does seem that either Ryan is posting old photos of himself with Bentley, or he’s lying about going several months without seeing his son. The same viewer claimed that changes were made to Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s storyline in post-production. Meanwhile, Maci has moved on to a dramatic storyline. On a recent episode of the show Bookout revealed that she suffered a miscarriage , and thus, has concerns about getting pregnant again. While the miscarriage took place several months ago, fans were not made aware of it until recently. Watch Teen Mom OG online for more on Maci’s many struggles. Melissa Rauch: Big Bang Theory Star Opens Up About Miscarriage

In a moving essay published by Glamour today, Big Bang Theory actress Melissa Rauch both announced that she is pregnant and revealed that she suffered a miscarriage. In the candid piece, the 37-year states that she is overjoyed by the prospect of becoming a mom, but continues to struggle with the fear of losing another pregnancy. “Here is the only statement regarding my pregnancy that doesn’t make me feel like a complete fraud: “Melissa is expecting her first child,” Rauch writes. “She is extremely overjoyed, but if she’s being honest, due to the fact that she had a miscarriage the last time she was pregnant, she’s pretty much terrified at the moment that it will happen again.” The actress adds: “She feels weird even announcing this at all, and would rather wait until her child heads off to college to tell anyone, but she figures she should probably share this news before someone sees her waddling around with her mid-section protruding and announces it first.” With humor and admirable frankness, Rauch went on to write that she was filled with conflicting emotions in the months following her first pregnancy, often experiencing pangs of grief when friends would announce that they were starting families. “It’s not that I wasn’t happy for these people, but I would think, ‘Why are these shiny, carefree, fertile women so easily able to do what I cannot?'” She adds: “And then I’d immediately feel guilt and shame for harboring that jealousy—one might call this “the circle of strife.” (A song I imagine is somewhere deep in the extended director’s cut of The Lion King.)” Rauch opens up about the ways in which the loss of an uborn child is unique and requires a unique kind of mourning: “What I realized, though, is that because this kind of loss is not openly talked about nearly as much as it should be, there really is no template for how to process these emotions,” she writes. “You’re not necessarily going to a funeral or taking time off from work to mourn, but that doesn’t change the fact that something precious has been unexpectedly taken from your life.” Rauch concludes the essay with a message of support to other women have endured what she’s endured: “So, to all the women out there who are dealing with fertility issues, have gone through a miscarriage or are going through the pain of it currently, allow me to leave you with this message: You are not alone. And, it is perfectly OK to not be OK right now.” Important words from a strong woman. Read Rauch’s entire essay here . And as always, you can watch The Big Bang Theory online anytime at TV Fanatic. Maci Bookout Defends Keeping Son Away From Ryan Edwards: I WILL Protect Bentley!

Now that Ryan Edwards has completed a stint in rehab, Maci Bookout is opening up about her struggle with his well-documented addiction. Specifically, with regard to co-parenting their son. If you watch Teen Mom OG online , you were privy to one of the more surprising and disturbing storylines in recent memory this season. Maci worried repeatedly about Ryan’s drug use, causing tension between herself, his fiance Mackenzie Standifer, and Edwards’ parents. Then, on the finale, Ryan married Mackenzie in a makeshift, parking lot wedding attended only by its officiant and Ryan’s mom and dad. Oh, and Ryan drove high to the wedding .  So high, in fact, that he appeared to nod off behind the wheel, resulting in widespread fan criticism of both Mackenzie and MTV itself. A Teen Mom crew member defended this  with an interesting explanation, but regardless, no one came away from this looking good. Fortunately, the dust has settled a bit since. Ryan is out of rehab, and while Mackenzie and Maci are still feuding  over the finale, Bookout offered a positive update on his condition. “Yeah I knew there was an issue in the past,” Bookout said after watching the disturbing scenes play out like the rest of us this summer. “I didn’t know it was anything like it was.” Also like the rest of us, when Maci learned that the father of her first-born child would be going to rehab, she felt a strong sense of relief. “I felt like a completely different person right away,” she said, adding that he is “where he needs to be” these days after receiving treatment. “I knew the cloud over me, and all of us, was big, dark and heavy, but I just didn’t know how big, dark and heavy it was until it was gone.” Throughout the season, Bookout admits that she received advice from an addiction counselor who advised her to use Bentley as leverage. Surely, she would prefer not to use those words, but if he refused to get help for his obvious drug problem, she felt she had zero choice. As for whether she’s still playing that card? “I’m going to do my best to not discourage him, but also keep my child safe,” Maci said, implying that she’s leaving all options on the table. Clearly, there are unresolved issues between the ex-couple (and his current wife), as this isn’t a situation that can be swept under a rug. On the Teen Mom OG reunion, Mackenzie came out swinging against Bookout, accusing her of being an exploitative enabler basically: “Maci you told me to my face merely days after I had informed you that Ryan was seeking help that you have known about his problem.” Not only did she know, Mackenzie said, but she knew “since November… that was 186 days he could’ve died and still you said nothing.” “You let everyone know that you feared for his life while concurrently exploiting Ryan’s addiction on the show,” Standifer said pointedly. She continued, “Helping Ryan doesn’t mean talking about all of his problems on national television, it means being supportive.” A good partner or co-parent would refrain from “kicking someone down,” she says, and ” respect the privacy we all so graciously deserve .” Bookout called that “ridiculous” and told Standifer she shouldn’t have signed up for a reality show if she wanted more privacy than this. Hopefully, cooler heads prevail going forward and Ryan sticks with his out-patient treatment, for Bentley’s sake and all of theirs as well. Maci Bookout Gives Update on Ryan Edwards: How’s He Doing After Rehab?!

Ryan Edwards … he’s had an eventful month, huh? First, the whole world learned about his worsening drug addiction, thanks to a tearful confession from Maci Bookout on Teen Mom OG. We not only learned that he was doing drugs, but that things had recently taken a turn for the worse. Things were so bad that Maci was scared she’d wake up one morning to the news that he’d died. Then, a few days after that episode aired, we learned that Ryan had gone off to rehab to work on his addiction. But just before he left, he married Mackenzie Standifer . Oh, and Mackenzie may or may not be losing custody of her three-year-old son thanks to the revelation of Ryan’s drug use. It’s a lot, right? Over the weekend, after roughly a month in rehab, Ryan resurfaced in some Instagram photos — he attended a music festival in Chattanooga with Mackenzie and a friend. So it would seem like he’s completed rehab . It would also seem like he’s still a jackass, since one of the first social media posts he made after his release was a meme slamming Maci. You remember, the super classy, not at all offensive Martin Luther King photo, along with text that read “I have a dream that one day my psycho baby’s mama will shut the f-ck up.” But despite that unnecessary, uncalled for move, Maci says in a new interview that Ryan is doing well these days. “We’re all just taking it one day at a time, one step at a time,” she tells Life & Style. “Ryan is doing good. He’s doing what he needs to do and that’s all any of us can ask right now. We’re just trying to make sure he stays focused on himself.” She adds that he doesn’t have to worry about staying clean on his own, because “he’s got me.” He’s also got his brand new wife and his parents, but sure, it’s also good that he has his “psycho baby’s mama” on his side, too. Maci tells the magazine that these past few months have “definitely been a roller coaster,” but she’s determined to help Ryan for Bentley’s sake. “In times like these,” she explains, “if you feel like you are running out of strength, you just have to keep digging deeper.” She also had some words for her admittedly amazing husband, Taylor McKinney, who she’s said has been her rock during this tough time. “He’s my best friend and knows everything about me,” she gushes. “It’s definitely nice to have him there with me and to listen to me or to give me advice or to just be present. He is a great, great guy.” View Slideshow: Teen Mom Dads, Husbands & Boyfriends Ranked: Who’s #1?! It really sounds like it. It also sounds like Ryan has a good support system, so hopefully rehab will take for him this time.

Farrah Abraham: Forget Ryan Edwards, Maci Bookout is an Alcoholic!

Farrah Abraham doesn’t exactly get along with the other girls on Teen Mom OG. But then again, if you have eyes and ears and have found yourself on parts of the internet that discuss Farrah Abraham, you already know this. She and Amber Portwood used to be friends, but they became enemies after Farrah dared to point out that Matt Baier is a giant, good-for-nothing creep. Amber didn’t appreciate it, and she even tried to throw a swing at Farrah over it. She and Catelynn Lowell haven’t been getting along either, and Catelynn takes every possible opportunity to slam her somehow . But, if you can believe it, the feud between Farrah and Maci Bookout predates all of these spats. Remember, when Teen Mom first returned to our televisions, Farrah wasn’t involved. When producers brought her back mid-season, Maci threatened to quit the show. The issue, she said, was that she didn’t want her son to share screen time with a porn star — which, hey, that’s her prerogative. Though Maci eventually gave in, she and Farrah have been catty towards each other ever since. To this day, really. During one of her many birthday parties, Farrah was approached by In Touch, and she was asked about Ryan Edwards’ newly revealed drug issues . Specifically, she was asked about the Teen Mom OG scene in which Maci tearfully revealed to Amber and Catelynn that Ryan’s drug use had gotten out of hand. “Everyone else around him is too afraid of what it will look like more than his health,” Maci explained on the show. “I’m just sick of cleaning up his mess . I get tired of dealing with the sh-t. Just being the only one that f-cking sees everything and cares.” It was a sad scene, one of the most intense things we’ve seen on the show in a while. But Farrah didn’t see things that way. “Who is she to talk about someone else’s substance abuse when she’s like an alcoholic?” she wondered . Shots fired. There are many Teen Mom OG fans who suspect that Maci may have a drinking problem — she’s often seen with a beer in her hand in her scenes. There was also a widespread theory that she was drinking throughout much of her pregnancy with her third child, Maverick. The “Maci is an alcoholic” went on for so long that she even confronted the rumors in her new book. “Folks I am an adult, over the legal drinking age, and just because I’m a mom that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a beer on a Sunday evening with my husband,” she wrote in one section. “Newsflash: Mothers Are Human Beings. We are flawed, hard-working, well-intentioned, exhausted individuals; we do our best, we make mistakes, but above all we love our children.” She wrote that “obviously I don’t condone excessive drinking,” but “having a beer — or even smoking the occasional cigarette — does not warrant a call to Child Services, and it does not make you a bad mother.” So if she even bothers to respond to Farrah, it looks like we’ll be in for a fun new chapter in the never-ending saga of Farrah vs. The World.
