From the very beginning, many of us predicted that the Ariana Grande-Pete Davidson romance wouldn't last very long . But even the most skeptical among us never thought it would flame out this quickly and in such spectacular fashion. Not only have Pete and Ariana broken up just months after announcing their engagement, it seems they're now venting their frustrations with one another publicly — Davidson through his comedy, and Grande via indignant tweets. It's a messy situation that gets more confusing with each new piece of information that comes to light. But fear not, reformed Grandson 'shippers, your friends at The Hollywood Gossip are here to help you make sense of this increasingly bitter breakup: 1. Downhill Fast Pete and Ariana’s relationship went from storybook romance to petty feud faster than you can say “Piggy Smallz.” 2. Surprise After Non-Surprise The breakup itself didn’t come as much of a shock. After all, couples who move as quickly as Pete and Ari tend to favor intensity over longevity. 3. Bella Thorne Is Naked, Increasingly Desperate on Instagram

Bella Thorne is only 21, but at times, it seems that her career, such as it is, may have already peaked. Nominally, Bella is an actress, model, singer, etc., but like so many of her peers, Thorne’s most lucrative revenue stream is social media, particularly Instagram, where she’s amassed an astonishing 18.4 million followers. And like Kylie Jenner before her, Bella knows what makes the internet tick. We’re talking, of course, about nudity. It’s up there with funny cat videos and political outrage on the list of things people just can’t help but click. Unfortunately, it’s also a game of diminishing returns. The internet quickly loses interest in naked bodies it’s seen before and moves on to new nudity. Some young stars realize this and change tactics (hence Miley Cyrus’ rebranding as a sober, fully-clothed hippie), while others double-down and offer up more flesh than ever, which seems to be Bella’s strategy. Bella Thorne Is Naked We’ve seen Bella Thorne naked before, but never this much in one day. Both the pic and the video above appeared on Bella’s Instagram page on Wednesday, and the captions have left fans confused, to say the least. “So excited for the big release behind this shoot btw I’m wearing underneath nude bra and bathing suit bottoms for comfortability and it helps the whipped cream stay attached ;)” Bella wrote We appreciate the old-school emoticon, and we’re sure the Instagram admins appreciate the clarification that she’s not actually naked. But what does it all mean? “Thorne by Bella,” Thorne later added. “Gonna be a big release w this shoot I’m stoked”. Adding to the confusion is the fact that she’s posing in front of a neon sign that reads, “electric p-ssy.” Is she launching her own line of vibrators? Is she actually a sex robot from the future? Only time will tell. But hey, we can’t really hate, since it’s marketing tactics like these that helped make Kylie Jenner a near-billionaire . We suppose that’s another thing Bella has in common with Kylie — a preference for inappropriately old dudes. Bella is currently dating 31-year-old Mod Sun, just as Kylie hooked up with a Z-list rapper who was nearly a decade her senior back when she was in her teens. Look, everything’s legal here, and a 10-year age difference isn’t that weird in most circumstances, but if you’re 31 and you have a whole lot in common with people who are barely old enough to buy alcohol, it might be time to reexamine your choices. Lily-Rose Depp and Timothee Chalamet: Dating!

While Johnny Depp continues his slow collapse into a morass of self-parody, man jewelry, and strategically ripped denim, his daughter is still attempting to build a life and career for herself far removed from her father’s increasingly long shadow. And she’s well on her way with her first A-list romance: According to E! News, Lily-Rose Depp confirmed that she’s dating actor Timothee Chalamet this week by laying on the PDA during a date night in NYC. Okay, so Chalamet might not be a household name just yet, but the young actor has already built up one hell of a resume. With an Oscar-nominated performance in Call Me By Your Name and a memorable turn in Lady Bird to his credit, it’s only a matter of time before someone casts him as a Jedi or a superhero. This kid is so talented we’re willing to overlook the obnoxious spelling of his first name, which is the highest praise we can think of. Neither party has spoken publicly about the relationship so far, but onlookers say their interactions Monday night left little doubt that they’re an item. “They were very sweet together,” an eyewitness shared with E! News. “They wrapped their arms around each other in line and linked arms the entire time,” the source added. “They seemed very happy to be together.” An insider tells E! that the couple dined on peasant fare, enjoying “fried chicken at a fine dining restaurant.”  “When they left, they stopped on a street corner and shared another passionate kiss,” the onlooker added.  “They huddled together in the rain but loved being outside and were laughing and smiling the entire time. They seemed very into each other.” The enthusiasm about this stylish new couple is reflected in the comments Gen Z-ers are posting on social media: “THEYRE SO CUTEEEE,” one fan commented on Instagram. “Omg omg omg omg yassss,” wrote another user. We hate to rain on anyone’s parade, but Timothee is in for a hard slog if these two get serious. That’s not a knock on Lily, but rather a hard fact about her increasingly unhinged dad. Lily is obviously set for life, but Timothee is just starting out as an actor, and being forced to apologize for every dumb thing Johnny Depp says is a burden no one should have to bear. But that’s a concern for way down the line. We’re just throwing out there because we’re old and crotchety and we need to pass the time until the prune juice kicks in. White Women Can’t Seem To Make Up Their Minds On Brett Kavanaugh

L et’s recap the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court nomination, shall we? Donald Trump ‘s pick to be on the nation’s highest court has been accused of being a hot-headed heavy drinker who can quickly morph into an angry drunk; a sexual predator to the tune of plotting to drug and sexually assault women with his friends; getting into at least one bar fight; and tampering with witnesses who could unravel his increasingly flimsy nomination. Yet, even in the face of mounting evidence of Kavanaugh’s guilt in each of the above categories, and others, white women are statistically split down the middle when it comes to whether they believe the judge’s persistent denials of carousing and sexual debauchery from his days in high school and college. At least that was according to a brand new Quinnipiac poll that found the number of Americans who wanted Kavanaugh confirmed was shrinking while white women as a group were seemingly indifferent despite the salacious claims by college professor  Christine Blasey Ford . 80% of black voters believe Dr. Ford over Kavanaugh, as do 66% of hispanic voters. Only 40% of white voters do. Fifty-three percent of white women voters cast ballots for Trump in 2016 even though he had admitted to using his celebrity to force himself on women, among other transgressions. In a CNN analysis published Tuesday morning, Ronald Brownstein wrote that “Ford’s detailed allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh could allow Democrats to solidify an unprecedented advantage among those women, who represent one of the few steadily growing components of the white electorate.” But if Monday’s poll was any indication, that wasn’t entirely correct. Maci Bookout & Taylor McKinney: We’re Adopting a Baby!!!

It’s been a rough year for Maci Bookout. The Teen Mom OG fan favorite has been forced to deal with the nightmare of trying to keep her family safe from her increasingly troubled ex, Ryan Edwards, while at the same time ensuring that 9-year-old Bentley, her son with Edwards, continues to have a relationship with his father. On top of being forced to file for a restraining order that temporarily prevented Edwards from contacting Bentley , Maci has grappled with some deeply painful setbacks in her efforts to expand her family. Late last year,  Bookout suffered a miscarriage , and she spoke about the painful ordeal in a memorable episode of TMOG . But the tragedy hasn’t deterred Maci or her husband Taylor McKinney from working toward welcoming a new family member. The McKinneys have been considering the possibility of adoption for several years, and this week, Maci gave a candid interview in which she revealed that they’re closer than ever to  “We are definitely still wanting to adopt. We don’t really have, like, a timeframe or, like, an exact answer,” Bookout told Us Weekly . “I feel like when we know to start the process, we will start it, but for now we’re happy with where we’re at.” Needless to say, fans were pleased to hear Maci speaking about her future with such excitement and optimism after such a difficult year. Equally encouraging is the fact that Maci says she has every intention of working with Ryan and his parents in order to ensure that Bentley has as much support from the adults in his life as possible. “I don’t think that there will ever come a time when we’re unable to co-parent with Jen and Larry,” she told Us . “Mainly because we don’t let our feelings get in the way of what’s important and the relationships that are necessary for Bentley to have. “It’s really just a matter of keeping the line of communication open and also making sure that we aren’t telling too much or giving too much of our feelings or opinions,” she said. “It’s more about information, rather than speaking about his dad because at the end of the day, Ryan is still his dad.” Asked how she and Taylor intend to approach the ongoing problem of Ryan, Maci had this to say: “Neither one of us want to ever put some sort of barrier between the possibility of a better relationship when it comes to Ryan and Bentley.” This is surely been one of the more challenging years of Maci’s life, but her attitude remains a silver lining amidst a number of dark clouds. When Briana DeJesus joined the cast of  Teen Mom 2  for the show's most recent season, Kailyn Lowry seemed to be the only veteran cast member who didn't have a problem with it. That all changed when Briana began dating Javi Marroquin , Kailyn's ex-husband and the father of her second child. These days, Bri and Kail are bitter enemies, and it seems there's no end to their feud in sight. Check out our rundown of the latest shots fired in this increasingly brutal war or words: 1. Ryan Edwards … well, to say he's been unsympathetic during his entire run on Teen Mom would be a massive understatement. Even in his 16 and Pregnant episode with Maci Bookout, he was cold and distant to both her and their son, Bentley, after he was born. He's always seemed more interested in his own hobbies than he has in being a parent, and it's been sad to see. Recently though, he seemed to reach peak awfulness when he claimed to be killing a bunch of cats that had sadly made their way onto his property. Shortly after that, Teen Mom OG viewers began wondering if he was on drugs after noticing his increasingly bizarre behavior and the way his eyes seemed to be bugging straight out of his head. And then, shortly after that, his father, Larry, kicked him out of the house . In a little interview on the show, he explained that the issue is “just Ryan,” that “I'm over his laziness, selfishness. I'm done with it.” He even said “I'm done with him forever.” In this sneak peek for Monday's Teen Mom OG reunion special, Dr. Drew touches on Ryan's relationship with his father and the fight they had, and Ryan actually cries. Ryan Lochte: LYING About Rio Robbery?!

Last week, the world was shocked by reports that Ryan Lochte and three other American swimmers were robbed at gunpoint  following a night out with some of their fellow OIympians in Rio de Janeiro. In the days that followed, the story took a number of bizarre twists and turns, and now the US athletes and Brazilian authorities are offering up very different takes on the investigation that followed. According to reports issued by a number of media outlets this morning, Rio cops were authorized to seize the passports of Lochte and fellow swimmer James Feigen so that they would be forced to stay in Brazil until the investigation was completed. However, Lochte is already back in the States, and though the swimmer has yet to comment personally, his reps say they received no word of the the search and seizure warrant issued by Judge Keyla Blanc De Cnop. A lawyer for Lochte says the 32-year-old swimmer “would have stayed” in Rio’s Olympic Village had he been made aware of the warrant. Feigen’s whereabouts are currently unknown, but it is believed he has returned to the United States or is at least en route. The entire US swim team had reportedly moved out of the Olympic Village by the time police arrived on Wednesday morning. Lochte told reporters that he and the other athletes had their cash and wallets stolen by armed bandits who initially pretended to be police officers. Judge De Cnop now says the men gave conflicting accounts of the crime. Bizarrely, the judge also cited Lochte and company’s “attitudes” as further evidence that they misled authorities: “It seems like the victims arrived with an unshaken physical and psychological state, making jokes with each other,” says De Cnop. Lochte’s lawyer, Jeff Ostrow, says Brazilian authorities never gave any indication that anything was amiss. “They never said, ‘Stay around,'” Ostrow told reporters today. “Otherwise, I would have advised Ryan to stay.” We’ll have further updates on this increasingly bizarre story as more information becomes available.
