Olympians Say Winter Athletes Are Smashing Out Of Control In Olympic Village

Athletes Have “A Lot Of Sex” In Olympic Village As you can imagine, Olympic athletes are incredibly focused and super stressed while staying in Olympic Village awaiting their competition. However, once they’re done competing — for win or for loss — it. is. ON. According to a report from People , many athletes report that once the stress of competing in the biggest event of their lives, Olympic athletes turn into major party animals, and many of them take the opportunity to hook up with as many other folks at the peak of their physical form while they have the chance. For one, all the athletes stay in an Olympians-only compound, with endless supplies of food, drinks, and cases and cases of condoms : “There’s a lot of sex going on,” two-time gold medaling soccer player Hope Solo told ESPN. Swimmer Ryan Lochte, who has six gold medals over four Olympics, put the exact amount at “70 percent to 75 percent of Olympians.” “It’s like the first day of college,” water polo player Tony Azevedo said of those first few days all together in the athlete village. “You’re nervous, super excited. Everyone’s meeting people and trying to hook up with someone.” It’s “a pretty wild scene, the biggest melting pot you’ve been in,” said swimmer Eric Shanteau. To accommodate, officials provide tens of thousands of condoms, such as 450,000 condoms for the Rio Games, USA Today reported. Hey, if that’s how they choose to get down, they’ve definitely earned it. Getty Continue reading

Dirty Game: Kenyan Olympians Forced To Live In Dangerous Favelas Because Their Country Is Too Cheap To Fly Them Home

Kenyan Olympic Competitors Stuck In Rio Over Country’s Cheap Ways Yahoo! Sports is reporting some pretty disturbing post-Olympic news about our Kenyan brothers who competed their hearts out in Rio… Unbeliable this is where the rest of kenyan team will spend their night today, after olympic village is closed! pic.twitter.com/h548Ds753g — Hon wesley korir (@weskorir) August 24, 2016 As Olympians across the globe were welcomed home to massive celebrations this week, Kenya’s Olympic team remained in Rio de Janeiro while their country awaited cheaper flights out of Brazil. Those are the charges Team Kenya captain Wesley Korir laid out in a series of Twitter posts. With photos and video, the marathoner described dangerous living conditions — complete with gunshots — in Rio favela accommodations arranged by Kenyan officials, now that the Olympic Village is closed. With the exception of Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge, who provided his own transportation home, Kenya’s entire marathon contingent stayed in the favela on Wednesday night, along with a group that included race walkers, boxers and 800-meter bronze medalist Margaret Wambui, according to Korir. “The best team in Africa and the second-best all over the world in athletics, and this is how they treat us,” Korir wrote on Twitter. He added, “They looked for cheap flights. I guess 25th was the cheapest.” Asked if he was still in Rio overnight, despite voicing his displeasure on Twitter and arguing with Kenyan officials in Brazil over their room and board, Korir, who is also an elected Member of Parliament in Kenya, told his followers, “3 a.m. and can’t sleep. Had to stay until all athletes leave. … There have been gunshots heard all night, messages being sent for athletes to stay indoors.” And the drama continues in rio for #TeamKenya @citizentvkenya @UKenyatta this team kenya home for tonight !! pic.twitter.com/NE4UiAf5n3 — Hon wesley korir (@weskorir) August 24, 2016 How f***ing sad is THAT? Lying A$$ Ryan Lochte Will Try To Ignore His Lying Nature On ‘Today’ Show Interview

Ryan Lochte Is Taking His Lies From The Internet To Primetime TV Ryan Lochte seems to enjoy pushing his luck.  Rolling Stone  has reported Lochte will discuss his fabricated robbery story in an interview with Matt Lauer for  Today.     The interview is scheduled for Monday, but a portion of the interview will air tonight on NBC during the Olympics. More details on @MLauer 's exclusive interview with @RyanLochte : https://t.co/wVY5PIRH2m — TODAY (@TODAYshow) August 20, 2016 Ryan Lochte will discuss the why he fabricated the story about being robbed at gunpoint in a new interview with Matt Lauer , with a preview scheduled to air during NBC’s Rio Olympics coverage Saturday night before it is broadcast in full on Monday’s Today . The interview will be the first time Lochte has spoken publicly since his initial NBC interview where he revealed the false details of the alleged robbery. Lochte previously issued an Instagram statement where he apologized for his behavior and “not being more careful and candid” regarding the incident but didn’t assume any of the blame for the events preceding the encounter with security guards. The gold medal-winning swimmer previously stated in interviews that men pretending to be police officers robbed him and three other U.S. swimmers at gunpoint following a night out; that story was quickly questioned by Rio authorities who briefly prevented two swimmers from leaving Brazil in order to get the real story of that night’s events. Lochte’s interview comes after a second swimmer from the night of the incident, Jack Conger, essentially blamed Lochte for escalating the situation beyond simple public urination outside a Rio gas station. What’s most interesting about this interview is that everyone already knows he lied. It’s puzzling that he appears to be keeping up the charade, particularly when his teammates have already given up the goods about what happened. “Four of us took a taxi back to the Olympic Village, and on the way we pulled into a gas station to use the restroom, but ultimately relieved ourselves outside, for which I apologize,” Conger said in a statement to SwimSwam . “Ryan Lochte removed a poster from a nearby wall, which apparently alerted the gas station employees, leading to our being confronted by two armed security men. Although I cooperated with their requests while there was a heated exchange among others, at one point a weapon was pointed at me. Eventually, a man appeared who was able to translate for us, helping to defuse the situation. We paid some money to compensate them for the torn poster, and returned to the Village in a different taxi.” Viewers will no doubt be tuned in what he has to say. The question is more so, what will he say? Will he finally tell the truth or will he tell more lies to cover up the lies he’s already told? Image via Today Show

Ryan Lochte: LYING About Rio Robbery?!

Last week, the world was shocked by reports that Ryan Lochte and three other American swimmers were robbed at gunpoint  following a night out with some of their fellow OIympians in Rio de Janeiro. In the days that followed, the story took a number of bizarre twists and turns, and now the US athletes and Brazilian authorities are offering up very different takes on the investigation that followed. According to reports issued by a number of media outlets this morning, Rio cops were authorized to seize the passports of Lochte and fellow swimmer James Feigen so that they would be forced to stay in Brazil until the investigation was completed. However, Lochte is already back in the States, and though the swimmer has yet to comment personally, his reps say they received no word of the the search and seizure warrant issued by Judge Keyla Blanc De Cnop. A lawyer for Lochte says the 32-year-old swimmer “would have stayed” in Rio’s Olympic Village had he been made aware of the warrant. Feigen’s whereabouts are currently unknown, but it is believed he has returned to the United States or is at least en route. The entire US swim team had reportedly moved out of the Olympic Village by the time police arrived on Wednesday morning. Lochte told reporters that he and the other athletes had their cash and wallets stolen by armed bandits who initially pretended to be police officers. Judge De Cnop now says the men gave conflicting accounts of the crime. Bizarrely, the judge also cited Lochte and company’s “attitudes” as further evidence that they misled authorities: “It seems like the victims arrived with an unshaken physical and psychological state, making jokes with each other,” says De Cnop. Lochte’s lawyer, Jeff Ostrow, says Brazilian authorities never gave any indication that anything was amiss. “They never said, ‘Stay around,'” Ostrow told reporters today. “Otherwise, I would have advised Ryan to stay.” We’ll have further updates on this increasingly bizarre story as more information becomes available. Sochi Wolf in the Hallway of the Day

This is a pretty ridiculous situation that was posted by an Olympic luger named Kate Hensen, of what seems to be a wolf walking through the halls of her Olympic Village dorm room…in what could be the premise of a horror movie, but that I think may not be a wolf at all, but rather just some monstrous competitor from some random eastern European country, who has come to win… Either way, good security…

Hope Solo Calls Out Brandi Chastain: Shut Up!

Remember that whole Olympic spirit thing? Someone should tell Hope Solo about it. The U.S. Soccer Team’s starting goalie may have been responsible for a shutout against against Colombia yesterday, but the former Dancing with the Stars contestant didn’t celebrate much afterward. She slammed former World Cup hero Brandi Chastain instead. Displeased with Chastain’s analysis as an announcer, specifically her criticism of defender Rachel Buehler, Solo went off on a multiple-part Twitter rant against the retired player: “Its 2 bad we cant have commentators who better represents the team&knows more about the game.” “Lay off commentating about defending and gking until you get more educated @brandichastain the game has changed from a decade ago. “I feel bad 4 our fans that have 2 push mute.” Chastain is best known for nailing the World Cup-winning shootout kick against China in 1999. She’s played in 192 international teams for her country and did not respond to these taunts. Solo, meanwhile, is unafraid to speak her mind. Earlier this month, she detailed the significant amount of sex that went on in the Olympic Village four years ago. [Photos: WENN.com]

The Fiercest, Fabulousest, Glitteriest Olympian Johnny Weir Battle with ‘Crazy Fur People’

…has produced the best wire report maybe ever . Johnny Weir has to stay in the Olympic Village with all the funky Eastern Europeans and people who don’t speak awesome because he is being threatened by fur activists …for being fierce . Johnny Weir is terrified of the same passionate furpeople who like to throw paint on catwalks and pie Michael Kors because Canada’s full of crazies who show up to the Olympics that might wild out or something and who definitely send him crazy angry letters. Vogued Weir: “All these crazy fur people definitely changed my mind. Security wise, staying in a hotel would be very difficult,” Weir told reporters after turning up for an 0800 news conference s porting a striking red and white silk scarf looped around his neck and with his nails manicured. That’s an actual quote, with actual context (“a striking red and white silk scarf,” Reuters?), from a wire report. And if you can’t trust an Olympian whose style icons include Dr. Frank N. Furter and Liberace, who can you trust? Weir’s actually switched to faux before after receiving death threats and the like, but never renounced the Real McCoy, and now appears to have crossed the threshold again. This man’s safety must be protected. “I decided to stay in the village and my team has made it as comfortable as possible. I don’t want any outside influences to hurt my chances here. Even though I’m not always comfortable rooming with somebody or being in a communal village sort of situation, it’s what I’ve got to deal with.” The American figure skater had talked about staying in a hotel because he didn’t enjoy his experience in the Olympic village four years ago. Your passe, pedestrian, protie Olympic Villages simply aren’t fab enough for Johnny Weir, bottom line. So instead Johnny Weir is rooming with Olympic Ice Dancer Tanith Belbin , who will help Weir do Weir things, like, I don’t know, eat brunch? He’s also spruced up his previously underwhelming pad: The self-styled diva makes no secret of liking his own space and creature comforts but for the second Winter Games in succession, he has been forced to “rough it” — albeit in a room lit with scented candles and decorated with pink bath mats. Also, via the AP, this : Weir is sharing a room with American ice dancer Tanith Belbin, which will feature “our icon,” Lady Gaga , on the wall. “She needs to be there watching over us, protecting us,” Weir said. Our Lady of the Immaculate Penis will indeed protect you, Johnny. But all of this begs the question: What the fuck is the big deal on either side that this warrants death threats and/or standing your ground like Weir? Weir notes that fur activists find the Olympics prime time to get their cause out in the spotlight, and are capitalizing on Weir for their cause. Well, yes. Exactly. But on the other hand, Weir’s got a significant bone to pick, and we’re not talking about Lady Gaga’s penis: “There are humans dying everyday. There are thousands if not millions of homeless people in New York City. Look at what just happened in Haiti. I tend to focus my energy, if there is a cause, on humans. While that may be callous and bad of me, it’s my choice.” While it’s not the “eat it, bitches” I wanted to hear: well, yes. Exactly. No, Johnny, they can’t read your Poker Face, ’cause you’re gonna keep rocking that fur, and in spite of the assholes putting death threats his way, can you blame him? Tell ’em, girl. Requisite video of Johnny Walker/Lady Gaga fabulousness in action: How can you not like this person?* Previously: That Dude Geigh? *I have no doubt some of you humorless awfuls will find a way. And for that, I’m sorry. For you.

Olympic Skeleton Racer Noelle Pikus-Pace Powered By Taylor Swift, Pampers

‘I really like country music … if I’m too hyped up, I like to chill out,’ says the U.S. Olympic athlete. By James Montgomery Noelle Pikus-Pace Photo: MTV News VANCOUVER — As we’ve mentioned, most members of the U.S. Skeleton team are pretty nuts, unafraid not only to stare death in the face but rocket towards it at 90 miles an hour. Face first. With no brakes. And while one-half of the U.S. women’s team here at the Winter Olympics outwardly embraces the sport’s daredevil mystique (that would be 25-year-old firebrand Katie Uhlaender), her partner does not. The most risqu
