Monica and Shannon quietly tied the knot on November 22nd at their home in Los Angeles and only HipHollywood spoke with the singing superstar to get the details. In an exclusive statement, Monica cleared up all the confusion and admitted that indeed, Shannon is her HUSBAND. “This is a very special time in my life. I am blessed to have married the man that God sent me, he’s loving, compassionate, strong and supportive of my children, family and career. I look forward to our lives together.” News of the couples alleged engagement began to spread in mid-october after Monica tweeted a photo of the massive diamond that Shannon put on her finger. Monica and Shannon originally met on the set of her video “Love All Over Me”, and she talked about her man, when HipHollywood spoke with her at the LA stop of her Passion, Pain and Pleasure tour, late last year. The couple still plans to hold a ceremony this summer, when the world will be able to see them exchange vows. In the meantime, Shannon is working hard on a possible 3peat and running all of his businesses, while Monica is excited about being nominated for 2 grammy awards and finishing her new album “New Life”, that’s due to be released in the summer.
