According to S2S Magazine Tasha Marbury is ready to make a name for herself on season 5 of “Basketball Wives”! You might not know much about Tasha, but you’ve probably heard of her huby Stephon Marbury. After wrapping a season with the Boston Celtics in 2009, the former NBA player announced that he’d signed a contract to play with the Beijing Ducks out in China. But with season 5 of VH1′s hit reality show, Tasha is hoping that people will get to know the woman behind the man. “I decided to do ‘Basketball Wives’ this year because I wanted to kind of step out of my husband’s shadow, and I thought it would be a great experience,” Tasha explained. “And to do something new.” Tasha had some jitters while filming early on because she’s seen past seasons, and she knew that the cast can definitely throw down. Keeping that in mind, Tasha expected there to be some friction heading into her shooting schedule. “I was really nervous, the first three or four times that I filmed. I didn’t know whether there was going to be fighting or things thrown at [me],” Tasha confided. “I just didn’t know what to expect. I just prayed about it.” The newest “BBW” revealed that although she’s tried to keep the peace while on camera, she’s not going to be anyone’s push over. “I’m trying to walk a thin line where I’m not fighting or arguing, or saying the wrong words,” she said. “I mean, I’ve said a few curse words, but I haven’t had any fights!” Check out the video below.
