Gavin Marchand was sentenced Wednesday to two and a half to five years in prison. He pleaded guilty last month to identity theft after using forged credit cards for a luxury shopping spree and a night of fun at the club. According to police, in August 2010 Marchand charged 8 racks ($8,000 for the slow folks) at an Hermes store. Prosecutors say the credit cards he used were fake, however the account numbers on them were not — they belonged to others. His plea also covered charges for thousands he allegedly spent at an NYC nightclub. Aw poor Gavin, he just couldn’t live without his lavish lifestyle… and now he’s gotta rely on his sister to put money on his books just so he doesn’t have to eat the mystery meatloaf in the hoosegow.
