Cole and more Essential Info : You would think on the heels of dropping a critically acclaimed mixtape, CyHi the Prynce would take his act on the road or bask in the praise. But the Decatur, Georgia, native must subscribe to the motto “no rest for the weary.” Just a month after dropping Royal Flush, CyHi is set to drop another collection to the streets, the collabo-heavy Allies. “Everyone was asking me on the Royal Flush [project], why didn’t I do some songs with other guys,” Prynce told MTV News’ Sway Calloway during an appearance on “RapFix Live.” “So it was cool, they liked the songs, they just wanted to hear me with some of my peers as well.” The forthcoming 14-song collection is tentatively slated to arrive in mid-December, just in time for the holidays, he said of his gift to fans. So far, he’s nine songs into the project and looking to lock in his G.O.O.D. Music crew member Pusha T for the potential first offering, “A Thousand Pounds.” The track is a thought-provoking number about what the MCs featured on the song would do should they come into that amount of money. The mixtape will be the upstart MC’s third of the year, following his Greg Street and Green Lantern-helmed The Prynce of Jacks and last month’s Royal Flush “I feel like I can do it more than once, more than three times,” CyHi said of releasing more material. “I gave y’all my nukes. I threw a couple of nukes in. Other than that, it’s the same me, just more wise and more groomed.” Other Heat This Week
