But on Monday night, Letterman dove back into the topic to apologize to his wife, Regina Lasko, who he said had been “horribly hurt” by the news that he had slept with women on his staff in the years leading up to their marriage in March. “Now the other thing is my wife, Regina,” Letterman said on Monday’s show, after apologizing to his staff for the unwanted attention focused on the show in the wake of the scandal.
