Usually when we think of  adoptions we do not think of African Americans children as being key in adoptions. New numbers are proving this to be the complete opposite. There are dozens of children  who need loving homes and care. We cannot let these children just fade into the system to be forgotten. We see  actors and actresses stepping forward adopting minority children. With 130,000 children adopted each year in the USA, researchers find growing numbers involve kids whose race is different from their parents’. About 84 percent of children adopted from other countries are either trans-racial or trans-ethnic. The most common type of adoption in the USA is from foster care, which makes up 68% of adoptions, compared with 17% for infants adopted domestically and 15% from international adoption, Pertman says. Soulja Boy’s latest music video, “Zan With That Lean,” is little more than an ode to getting bent off of that drank . In the clip, Soulja Boy sips from his cup and puffs away on weed like he’s the reincarnation of Lil Wayne circa 2009. We can’t be the only ones that are a little disturbed by such an explicit celebration of the drug that claimed the lives of hip-hop legends like Pimp C of UGK and DJ Screw. And being that Atlanta was never known for sipping syrup, we can’t help but wonder when and why the ATL imported this destructive behavior from Texas. We will say that we look forward to the inevitable hip-hop edition of Celebrity Rehab that we’re certain is coming down the pipeline. Soulja Boy’s Juice mixtape drops on April 20th. Atlanta’s own Killer Mike recently changed his name to Mike Bigga to portray a more positive image for his young fans. The Adamsville native dropped by Hot 107.9′s Gangsta Grillz radio recently and spoke to DJ Drama about a host of topics ranging from his name change to his upcoming new album, PL3DGE, which drops on April 19. Drama also asked Mike about why so many Atlanta rappers have been getting face tats recently. Mike also talked about what it took to mend his friendship with OutKast’s Big Boi, who appears on PL3DGE , as does Mike’s Grand Hustle compatriot T.I. on the song “Ready Set Go.” The two friends first appeared together on Bone Crusher’s “Never Scared” Check out DJ Drama’s exclusive interview with Mike Bigga below!
