Ariana Grade debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with Yours Truly , a set of ’90s-inspired R&B tracks that many have compared to vintage Mariah Carey. Ariana Grande – The Way ft. Mac Miller Grande’s album sold 138,000 copies last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, followed closely by Tamar Braxton’s Love & War , with sales of 114,000. The sky appears to be the limit for the talented 20-year-old. Ariana, who scored a summer hit with “The Way” (above) and is on the verge of another with “Baby I” is the first female to debut at No. 1 since Ke$ha in 2010. The Bachelor star Gia Allemand, who took her own life last month, often suffered major mood swings that her mother believes were caused by one major factor: Her menstrual cycle. A grieving Donna Micheletti told Dr. Phil Tuesday that daughter Gia’s intense PMS clouded her thinking and likely contributed to her suicide attempt. “She was not depressed. Sometimes, when it was that time of the month, she would get insecure and go to a dark spot, and feel like nobody cared,” Micheletti said. “She just snowballed.” Donna, who lives in New York, she spoke to her in New Orleans the night of Gia Allemand’s suicide attempt and booked her a flight to visit the next day. “I’m not happy. I can’t go on with this anymore,” Allemand told her. “At that point, that day, with how she felt with her menstrual cycle, she could not see clearly,” Micheletti said. “I was trying to talk to her, trying to be careful what I say.” “I didn’t want to upset her more, and I was nervous.” She said Allemand’s menstrual cycle was so powerful, it could change her demeanor “like night and day … it would come out of nowhere,” Micheletti said. “All of a sudden something would click in there, and she would say, ‘This isn’t right. He doesn’t love me. He’s not this. He’s not that.'” “He” would be Ryan Anderson , her NBA player beau. Gia Allemand Passes Away According to New Orleans cops, Allemand hanged herself within two hours of her boyfriend claiming he didn’t love her anymore and trying to initiate a breakup. The gorgeous model left a suicide note on her dining room table that read, “Mom gets everything,” and wrapped a vacuum cleaner cord around her neck. One end of the cord was found tied to the handrail on the second floor. The other end was still attached to the heavy vacuum found at the bottom of the stairs. Allemand likely on the phone with her helpless mother at the time. “I heard her last breath,” Micheletti told Dr. Phil. “I thought it was just mumbling. I couldn’t understand her. It was incoherent. I didn’t know what it was until after the fact.”
