Karen King: Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Star Wanted By Cops, Repo Man!

Incredibly, or perhaps not so incredibly, this morning brings news of a Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta scandal NOT about Joseline and Stevie J. Cast member Karen King has allegedly been shafting people out of car payments for so long that she is a wanted woman, TMZ reports. Let this be a lesson to everyone out there to pay bills.  According to law enforcement sources, King purchased a Maserati in 2014, but apparently didn’t buy the whole thing in cash up front. At this point it’s been months since King has made a payment, and understandably, the car’s owner is far from pleased with this fact. She’s now facing a repossession, in other words. The repo man’s been after her and the fancy, unpaid automobile for months, but King has been surprisingly hard to track down, apparently. Heading to court was the only option remaining. A judge signed a warrant for Karen’s arrest late last week, but she’s still MIA, according to several sources close to the developing situation. King has more legal issues to answer to than this, too. If you watch Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta online , King was arrested back in May for identity fraud, and is facing up to three years in prison. Between that alleged crime and her issues with the repo man, she may want to turn herself in … or hole up wherever she is for a decade. Not looking good, in other words. The increasingly frequent and outrageous accusations Joseline has made lately about him finally led him to take action, reports indicate. To recap, she says Stevie molests his daughter with Mimi Faust, watches gay porn, and worships Satan. You know. Among other things. In response, Stevie filed a defamation suit, claiming Joseline has been running a “smear campaign” and his reputation has been ruined. Not sure he can blame her exclusively for that, but if Hernandez really did call Georgia’s Division of Family and Children Services on him? Stevie is suing for unspecified monetary damages and wants a judge to make Joseline stop making these allegations against him. Good luck muzzling that loose cannon.

James McNair’s Family Paid $10 Million By Walmart For His Death In Tracy Morgan Car Crash ‘Bout damn time! Via DNAifno The family of a comedian friend of Tracy Morgan who was killed last June when a Wal-Mart truck crashed into a luxury van he was riding in got $10 million from the retail giant to settle a lawsuit, DNAinfo New York has learned. Wal-Mart made the large payout to the family of James McNair to avoid potential losses from litigation, the McNair family’s lawyer said in court papers. Under the settlement, McNair’s two children, Jamel, 26, and Denita, 19, will split the payout after their lawyer, Daryl Zaslow, takes a nearly $3 million cut, according to court records. The children had sued Wal-Mart after one of its trucks slammed into a limousine van carrying McNair, Morgan and other comedians on the New Jersey Turnpike on June 7, 2014. New Jersey police charged the truck’s driver, Kevin Roper, with death by automobile and four other vehicle assault charges. The McNairs signed the settlement in October, but the deal wasn’t announced until January. At the time, the terms of the settlement were not revealed because of a confidentiality agreement both sides signed. But legal documents filed last month in Westchester Surrogate’s Court revealed the big payout to James McNair’s estate — and that Wal-Mart did not want the settlement sum publicized for fear it would hurt business. Congratulations to the McNair family. No amount of money can even come close to replacing a person you love, but hopefully this money will allow them to live a comfortable life in his absence. R.I.P. Jesus Take The Wheel: 19-Year-Old Birthday Girl And 2 Friends Drown In NYC Car Accident

Incredibly sad story on the other side Teen And Friends Drown In NYC After Car Crashes Into Creek Via NYDailyNews Four friends on their way home from a birthday celebration nearby were killed late Friday night when the car they were riding in careened through a 3-foot high chain-link fence and rolled over into a Queens creek, police officials said. The driver, a 20-year-old man, managed to get out of the car, swim to shore and call 911, officials said. The driver placed the call at around 10:36 p.m., and rescue workers first arrived roughly six minutes later, officials said. He was seen at the end of the road flagging down rescue workers as they arrived, police sources said. Sixty-five firefighters responded to the scene off 19th Ave. near 37th St. in Astoria, along with divers from both the FDNY and the NYPD. But it was too late. Two men and two women were pulled out of the murky Steinway Creek, across from Rikers Island, after being trapped in the automobile, submerged in up to 10 feet of water, for more than a half hour. The first body was pulled out at 11:10 p.m., the last about five or six minutes later, a law enforcement source said. Wonder how the driver made it out and the others didn’t? There are no dead-end signs at the end of 19th Ave. that would have warned the driver, officials said. The group was celebrating one of the female passenger’s 19th birthday nearby, law enforcement sources said. It was not immediately clear which woman’s birthday the group was celebrating. The driver — part of his face covered by a bandage — spoke to investigators from the back of an ambulance before he was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, officials said. He was being treated for hypothermia at Elmhurst Hospital early Saturday. The cause of the accident was still under investigation as of Saturday morning. The driver was not drunk, police sources said, but speed was a factor. We can’t imagine anything more tragic than losing your life on the day you were born, especially in such a freak accident.
