Derek Jeter will retire at the end of the 2014 MLB season, and with the year’s halfway point upon us, tributes to the legendary Yankees shortstop have begun rolling in. Earlier today, Nike unveiled a 2-minute commercial set to air during Tueday’s All Star Game in which fans ranging from Spike Lee to Carmelo Anthony to a group of begrudgingly respectful Bostonians all tip their caps in tribute to El Capitan. As for Mr. Met, himself, well…he probably should’ve thought twice before appearing in the spot. Dude’s got the world’s most recognizable head.
