Congratulations are in order for Guy Ritchie and Jacqui Ainsley. The director and his model girlfriend are reportedly the proud new parents of a baby boy who came into the world Monday morning at London’s Portland hospital. The couple “couldn’t be happier,” insiders say. “They’ve been beaming all day and can’t wait to take him home.” Ritchie, of course, shares a son with Madonna. He and the iconic singer split in 2008. But he’s clearly bounced back rather well. [Photo: WENN.com]
Soulja Boy’s anti-military rap is, not surprisingly, drawing fire from the U.S. Armed Forces. What is somewhat surprising is to see a retired Army sergeant leading the charge with a response to the controversial song in rap form! Leo Dunson, a five-year combat veteran, recorded the trac, “Change Your Name” after hearing Soulja Boy’s “Let’s Be Real.” Basically, Dunson – who raps under the name Sgt. Dunson – comes at Soulja early and often (NSFW lyrics): Sgt. Dunson – Change Your Name Dunson says Soulja Boy’s song is, “The most ignorant thing I’ve heard in so long” and is especially offensive with the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 looming. He says a petition to get Soulja Boy’s music banned from all U.S. military bases is getting support from civilians and all branches of the armed forces. Soulja Boy is, of course, legally free to rap about whatever the heck he wants, but Sgt. Dunson and U.S. troops are certainly free to not like it and hit back.
Nope, we cannot all just get along. Michael Colyar, a veteran actor best known for his role in Barbershop , was kicked off a United Airlines flight last week and proceeded to go on a rant against the alleged racist basis for such an action. Now, he plans to sue. TMZ reports that Colyar has hire Milton Grime, the lawyer who won $3.8 million for Rodney King after police were caught on tape in 1991 viciously beating that civilian down. While passengers on Colyar’s flight say the actor was loud and obnoxious, he believes flight attendants only gave him the boot because he’s African-American and, we assume, he’s seeking a large cash settlement as a result.
