Dad Admits To Throwing Newborn Across Room, Causing Baby’s Death A Kentucky dad was arrested this week for killing his 3-month-old baby who suffered multiple head fractures according to a WLKY report. Louisville cops say it took Cody Bates a long time to admit that he killed his own baby until they questioned him over and over about it. A first he had said the boy just “fell”. But, his story wasn’t consistent with the baby’s injuries. The brawny looking pop eventually told police he was “just tired” while he was caring for his son and meant to throw the tiny baby to a couch. Well, Bates missed the couch but a long shot and the baby went flying over it and onto the floor, causing his death. “I was standing right about the middle of the table. I flung him over, and he missed this thing and actually hit the floor right there with his head up,” Bates told police. “I was just tired. I over-slung my son.” Bates is in custody and not allowed to have any contact with the family of his son’s mother.
