By James Montgomery Far East Movement Photo: MTV News Tokio Hotel ‘s first 24 hours as Musical March Madness champions has already included some spirited back-and-forth between their Aliens and Green Day’s rabid fanbase (check the comments of our title game recap for proof), a rather gracious acceptance speech from the Brothers Kaulitz, and now, a special shout-out from their pals in the Far East Movement. Yes, when MTV News caught up with the fast-rising hitmakers on Wednesday, they were quick to praise Tokio Hotel for their MMM win … and pimp their upcoming collaboration with Bill Kaulitz, too. “Big congrats to Tokio Hotel, Bill Kaulitz and crew!” Far East’s Kev Nish said. “If you die tomorrow, at least you won today.” See what he did there? For the uninitiated, “If I Die Tomorrow” is a song on Far East’s upcoming Dirty Bass album, which features collabos with the likes of Justin Bieber, LMFAO’s Redfoo and, of course, Kaulitz. And if featuring a member of TH on a track seems a bit off, well, let’s let Nish explain how the whole thing came to be. “When we first signed to Cherrytree [Records], we went on the website and see who’s on the roster … how do you pick what label to go to, you know?” he said. “And we saw Tokio Hotel, and we were like ‘Yo, this band is wild.’ We were on a bus watching them on the MTV Europe Awards, winning, and we were like, ‘We need to do a song with those dudes.’ “So we got in with Bill Kaulitz and we just wanted to do a song about losing yourself, about possibly losing your mind, because you might die the next day,” he continued. “It’s called ‘If I Die Tomorrow,’ and it’s Bill Kaulitz and his incredible tone in our dirty bass world … and that’s kind of where dirty bass is going: unexpected collaborations.” And given Tokio Hotel’s big MMM win, we think this may be the first of many Kaulitz collaborations. After all, when you’re on top, everyone wants a piece of you. John Cena’s ‘Grind’ Inspires Bumpy Knuckles

You wouldn’t think that WWE star John Cena and rapper Bumpy Knuckles have very much in common, but the two friends found a mutual respect for each other thanks to music. After meeting at a New York radio station years back, Bumpy helped coach Cena to become a better lyricist. Bump even appeared on several tracks from Cena and Tha Trademarc’s 2005 debut rap album, You Can’t See Me. “Me and him became real good friends,” Bumpy said of Cena when he appeared on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live.” While at the radio station, the two engaged in an arm-wrestling match, which “RapFix Live” host Sway said Bumpy won. After they exchanged numbers, the wrestling star sought out the rap veteran’s help on the m-i-c. “John came to my studio, and from then on, it was over,” Bump said. “I never met somebody so adamant about being better at what they do. John is a big inspiration in what I do, because I watch him, I watch his grind.” Bumpy gave Cena tips for the recording booth, helping him to find his voice. “John got in there, and he worked,” he said. “Him and Trademarc, they’re cousins, they both worked diligently at becoming better MCs.” Cena has a similar respect for Bumpy, who just released The Kolexxxion with DJ Premier. “There’s a few guys that you don’t mess with in the industry, and he’s one of them, but on the real, one of those talented MCs in the game,” Cena told MTV News during an interview earlier this month to promote his highly anticipated WrestleMania XXVIII match, which he lost to the Rock. “You get [Bumpy] in a verbal and physical confrontation, and you can never bet against him.” What do you think of Bumpy Knuckles and John Cena’s friendship? E-40 And Bumpy Knuckles Set To Kick Game On ‘RapFix Live’

Over the past two years alone, Bay Area MC has dropped seven LPs. His most recent came in a trilogy, The Block Brochure: Welcome to the Soil, which was released as three separate albums last week. Now, to celebrate, Forty will join host Sway on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live” at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com. The Vallejo, California, MC got his start as part of the Click but later signed a deal with Jive and dropped his major-label debut, In a Major Way, in 1995. 40 has since emerged as a cultural ambassador celebrated for not only his music, but his business acumen and knack for introducing unique and catchy hip-hop slang to the world. During last week’s “RapFix Live,” Sway sat down with rap icon Nas and covered his career from his 1994 debut until now, and you can expect a similar analysis of E-Fizzle’s storied career as well. Sway will also explore the creative process behind 40’s groundbreaking Block Brochure release. In total, the three combined albums feature 60 songs and boast cameos from Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, Tech N9ne, T-Pain and Kendrick Lamar. Long Island, New York, MC Bumpy Knuckles will also make an appearance on the show. Bumpy, who also records under the name Freddie Foxxx, recently dropped Kolexxxion, a collaborative album with legendary producer DJ Premier.
