R.I.P. Oscar-Winning Director Mike Nichols

Sad news today as The New York Times has announced that Oscar, Emmy, Tony, and Grammy winning director Mike Nichols has died at the age of 83. A master of nearly every medium in which he worked, Nichols won 9 Tony Awards for his work directing and producing on the Broadway stage, 4 Emmy Awards for his HBO films Angels in America and Wit , 3 BAFTAs, 3 DGA awards, an Oscar and a Golden Globe for directing The Graduate , and a Grammy Award for his comedy album An Evening with Mike Nichols and Elaine May .
