Can’t Be Stopped! Lil Rel Howery & Jerrod Carmichael Re-Team For Fox Comedy Pilot

Getty Images Lil Rel Howery & Jerrod Carmichael Reunited For Comedy Pilot Bish, you thought! The Carmichael Show reassembles, kinda. The Carmichael Show devastated fans after it was cancelled on NBC, but it’s time to stop fretting. Comedian extraordinaires Jerrod Carmichael and Lil Rel Howery are reuniting for a brand NEW comedy show. Jerrod Carmichael will serve as an executive producer on a Fox comedy with a put pilot order co-created by his former “Carmichael Show” co-star Lil Rel Howery, according to  Variety . BOSSIP got the inside scoop from Howery just a few weeks ago, he mentioned he would be working on The Lil Rel Show.  However, Variety doesn’t mention if THIS is THAT, but we can put two and two together… The currently untitled multi-camera series would star Howery as a fictionalized version of himself, a prideful, self-made success who lives by the code to “always believe in yourself and great things will come.” But he finds that attitude put to the test when he learns his wife is having an affair with his own barber. He tries to rebuild his life post-divorce as a long-distance single father on the West Side of Chicago on a quest for love, respect, and a new barber. Congratulations! The show sounds hilarious already. Will you be watching??

Do I Have to Be the One to Call Bullsh*t on ‘Sh*t My Dad Says’?

When comedy writer Justin Halpern started the Twitter phenomenon called “Sh*t My Dad Says,” he explained his dad-cataloguing like so: “I’m 29. I live with my 74-year-old dad. He is awesome. I just write down sh*t that he says.” Tomorrow, a book of his dad’s bon mots will hit stores, and later this month, CBS may announce the series pickup of a comedy pilot based on the property, starring William Shatner as the irascible father. There’s just one thing. I kind of don’t believe his dad is actually saying this stuff anymore?

Patton Oswalt Attacks Nobody For Stealing Material

What does a guy do after the Broadway show he’s starring in gets canceled because of his performance and then he’s removed from a comedy pilot after the first table reading? Well, if he’s Patton Oswalt , he scours the Internet to find out if disingenuous no-talents are stealing his stand-up material! Oswalt took to MySpace — God love you, Patton, but really: MySpace ? — to out a pathetic joke stealer named Nick Madson, an Iowa comedian who did Oswalt’s routine at a club on Wednesday. Needless to say: Someone get Madson a helmet.
