Over 1 Million Workers Strike In South Africa

Over a million teachers, nurses and other government workers went on strike across South Africa this week, suspending public education and health care to demand better pay from their government, which is resisting. South African police have tried to stop the labor action by firing rubber bullets and water cannons at the workers who have been applying pressure by rallying, marching and blockading roads. added by: The_Global_Report

Norfolk engineer builds speedy hemp harvester

West Norfolk engineer Stephen Eyles has developed a high-capacity multi-bladed hemp harvester capable of cutting at high speeds. His machine has three blades, which cut the crop into three lengths, which makes it easier to handle for baling.
