To the excitement of millions of TV fans, Sarah Michelle Gellar makes her return to the small screen this summer. Years after Buffy the Vampire Slayer went off the air, the actress will anchor Ringer on The CW, a drama that has her portraying the dual roles of twins Bridget and Siobhan. What attracted Gellar to the project? “ Ringer is the perfect balance of what audiences want to see me do. It’s Cruel Intentions meets Buffy ,” Sarah says in this week’s EW . Gellar has a very good excuse for remaining away for such a long period of time. A very cute excuse, we should say: daughter Charlotte. “I got to see the first step, hear the first word. Most people – and certainly many working moms – are not lucky enough to get that. I wanted to appreciate the fact that I had worked so hard all my life to be able to have those moments.
