Last week, Zayn Malik quit the current One Direction tour , reportedly due to the stress of constantly being on the road. Days later, rumors surfaced that Zayn had been caught cheating on Perrie Edwards , and had actually returned home in hopes of saving his relationship. Whetever the case, the young man is clearly going through a tough time, so naturally, along comes Wendy Williams to kick him when he’s down: Wendy Williams to One Direction: Fire Zayn Malik! Wendy discussed Zayn’s mental state with some random Z-list guest on her talk show yesterday, and it’s clear that she doesn’t exactly have a whole lot of compassion for Zayn’s plight. When the guest refers to Zayn as “emotionally fragile,” Wendy sarcastically snipes, “What a turn on!” “Hears what I think, One Direction,” Wendy continues, kicking off one of her signature rambling rants. “If you can do four-part harmony, you can do four-part harmonuy just as easily. Kick him out of the band! It’s more money for the rest of you.” Wendy proceeds to spew some nonsense about how she admires Zayn for “standing in his own truth,” and she’s sympathetic to the pressures of fame. “Being a celebrity these days is…a lot !” Wendy says She’s right about that. It’s gotta be tough enduring constant trash-talk from people like Wendy Williams. The best part about the above video comes around the 2:40 mark, when Wendy says, “He just wants to go back and live a normal life in the States.” Wuh? Does she really see fit to offer Zayn career advice, even though she’s so clueless about his life and background that she doesn’t even know he’s British? It’s fine that Wendy doesn’t know much about 1D but if that’s the case, maybe she should withhold her two cents and stick to talking about stuff she understands, like…giant blonde fright wigs?
