The Weeknd Pleads No Contest To Battery Of Las Vegas Police Officer Don’t let the high-pitched falsetto fool you, Abel is ’bout that action, boss. Word on PageSix is that Abel Tesfaye aka The Weeknd entered a no contest plea last week in front of a Las Vegas judge for misdemeanor batter of a police officer. The report states that the judge agreed to drop the charge if Abel could keep his nose clean (no pun intended) and complete 50 hours of community service. The judge also demanded that Mr. Friday-Saturday-Sunday attend “impulse counseling”, an alcohol evaluation, and pay $1,000 to the injured officers fund. There is nothing about this guy that suggests he would be catching fade with a police officer. Maybe Canadians aren’t as nice a people as we think they are… Image via YouTube

After 23 years in prison, the charges are dropped.

MILWAUKEE (AP) – A decades-old homicide charge has been dismissed against a Milwaukee man who served 23 years of a life sentence before new tests raised questions about the evidence against him. Milwaukee County prosecutors on Monday agreed to drop the charge against 44-year-old Robert Lee Stinson.
