Top Chef ‘s seventh season brings viewers to Washington D.C., where competition is everyone’s daily bread. After viewing the premiere, I’ve figured out five constants that we have to look forward to this year — unfortunately, they’ve already eliminated John Somerville (the dreadlocked kook who first needed to master uncrossed eyes before taking on puff pastries), so the potential for greatness is somewhat hindered.
