VMA Fashion Face-Off: Nicki Minaj vs. Ke$ha

Two of Hollywood’s most eccentric stars made appearances on the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet last night. First, rumored new American Idol judge Nicki Minaj posed in a skin-tight outfit, yellow hair sprouting out the sides of a stylish black hat. Then there was Ke$ha, who… looked sort of normal. For Ke$ha at least. Flowing blonde hair and a lack of facial glitter is simply not what we expect from this singer. Did the regular look throw you off? Did it top Nicki’s outfit? Kevin Hart as Video Music Awards Host: Funny or a Flop?

Kevin Hart took on hosting duties at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards last night, opening the event with a monologue that tackled… … the Drake vs. Chris Brown bar brawl (On why Drake allegedly threw a bottle: “Drake is from Canada. He loves to recycle…”). … Snooki’s son, Lorenzo Dominic (On having a baby “in her oven” and why the Jersey Shore star can handle it: Because she’s “been cooking [her] skin for a while.”). … the Kristen Stewart affair with Rupert Sanders (“Look, we’ve got Sleepy, Grumpy, Adultery…”). VMA Fashion Face-Off: Katy Perry vs. Rihanna

Rihanna and Katy Perry were both on the list of MTV VMA winners . The BFFs were clearly among the night’s fashion winners, as well. Rihanna’s stunning white gown and newly-shortened hair were the talk of the show, even before she was seen kissing Chris Brown inside Staples Center. Often known for outrageous getups, she looked tremendous, an angel of the night in a floor length white dress which still showed some skin, RiRi style. Katy Perry, meanwhile, went for a subtly provocative look. Her floor length Elie Saab gown featured a plunging neckline and sheer train. Just smoking. Who wins this VMA Fashion Face-Off?
