LeAnn Rimes on Losing Her Virginity: I Raped Him!

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian sat down for an interview with Joan Rivers recently, and as you may have guessed, the inappropriate jokes came fast and furious right off the bat. Well, more accurately, LeAnn and Eddie laid down for Rivers’ web series titled In Bed With Joan. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian: In Bed With Joan We’re not sure what they’re promoting, as their VH1 reality show has been a ratings disaster and is now limping to the end of its first and final season, but we’re glad Rimes and Cibrian did this interview, if only so they could prove to the world that LeAnn can actually be more offensive than Joan. Yes, we know this is the same Joan Rivers who said Palestinians deserve to die because they’re stupid.  Even taking “jokes” like that into account, LeAnn may have actually said something more indefensible in the clip above: Asked about losing her virginity, LeAnn says that it all went down in a hotel in Monte Carlo and then gleefully adds, “I think I raped him.” See? In a way, it’s far worse than Joan’s Palestine comments and Eddie’s jokes about LeAnn’s eating disorder , because not only is LeAnn making a rape joke (at least we hope it’s a joke), she’s casting herself as the aggressor in the scenario. We know it was an off-the-cuff remark and LeAnn was trying to be funny, but even so, not cool. Expect her to tweet an apology in the next few hours. ESPN’s Michael Sam Coverage Creates Controversy, Prompts Backlash From Teammates

Football history was made back in May when Michael Sam was drafted by the St. Louis Rams, making him the first openly gay man selected in an NFL draft. There was immediate backlash from homophobic fans who complained when television coverage showed  Sam kissing his boyfriend after receiving news that he’d been chosen by the Rams. Now, it seems the pendulum has swung in the other direction, as supporters of Sam and LGBT rights are complaining that ESPN is devoting too much time and attention to Sam’s sexual preference. Following a SportsCenter report in which correspondent Josina Anderson stated that Sam is “respecting the space” of his teammates by showering privately, Twitter exploded with criticism, and Rams defensive end Chris Long led the charge: “Dear ESPN,” Long tweeted. “Everyone but you is over it.” ESPN has since defended its coverage in an official statement, claiming, “In response to recent questions about Sam fitting in with the team, multiple Rams brought up the shower topic and we relayed the information as part of our reporting.” Sam has yet to respond to the questionable coverage. He’s scheduled to make his regular season debut on September 7 in a game against the Minnesota Vikings.  29 Celebrities Who Are Out and Proud 1.
