The Facebook page of an Arizona bakery became a national story after the owners of Amy’s Baking Company were featured on Gordon Ramsay’s FOX show. But the insane-seeming duo now says they had nothing to do with the EPIC rants that followed their Kitchen Nightmares appearance, which was ridiculed online. Instead, they’re playing the “hacking” card . The couple’s behavior on the show was beyond bad – it was even too much for Ramsay, who walked out before renovations in the May 10 episode. The Scottsdale, Ariz., establishment was accused of stealing tips from employees, selling desserts from elsewhere and being rude to customers. After the show, outraged viewers flooded the restaurant’s social media outlets, including Yelp, to call them “horrible,” “rude” and their behavior “criminal.” As the angry commenters bashed them online, the incredulous owners responded to the “witch hunt” by calling them “stupid” and asking them to “piss off.” The posts were later removed, however, and the couple, Amy and Samy Bouzaglo, now claim that a hacker is to blame for their alleged responses: “Obviously our Facebook, YELP, Twitter and Website have been hacked,” the duo said in response to the controversy on Wednesday … OBVIOUSLY. “We are working with the local authorities as well as the FBI computer crimes unit to ensure this does not happen again. We did not post those horrible things.” “Thank You Amy & Samy.” We’re sure the FBI will make this their HIGHEST priority. Amy’s Baking Company hacking excuse: Real or BS? Totally real. BS. They’re insane and everyone knows it. View Poll »
