Josiah Duggar & Lauren Swanson Relive Their Whirlwind Courtship on Counting On!

A new season of Counting On debuted on TLC Monday night, and we think it's safe to say the premiere delivered everything that fans have come to expect from the Duggar clan. The episode centered around the wedding of Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson . Not only did fans get their first look at the couple's massively-attended ceremony, we also got to circle back and relive Lauren and Josiah's courtship . As we've known for months, Lauren and Josiah are not your typical Duggar couple. And last night's two-hour-plus mega-episode was not your typical season premiere. Check out some highlights from Josiah and Lauren's big day in the gallery below: 1. The Happy Couple Josiah and Lauren have been head-over-heels for one another from the moment their courtship began. On this week’s episode of Counting On they relived their whirlwind romance. 2. Starting at the End The episode kicked off at the conclusion of Josiah and Lauren’s courtship, as the excited couple put the finishing touches on their wedding preparations. It then circled back to fill fans in on their brief bur passionate romance. 3. They DO Have a Sense of Humor! “I can’t wait to meet you at the altar and marry you,” Josiah tells Lauren early in the episode. The comment prompts a Counting On producer to joking suggest that the couple “get a room.” 4. Meet Josiah At one point, the episode throws it waaaay back to Josiah’s childhood, as his siblings lovingly recount their memories of the family’s resident prankster. 5. Meet Lauren From there, Lauren was introduced to viewers, and the Duggars spoke just as lovingly about their new sister-in-law. “Lauren is already one of the sisters,” Jessa Duggar remarked. 6. Josiah Duggar Reveals What Marriage is Really Like

The truth has finally come out. In an exclusive interview with Josiah Duggar, the 21-year comes clean about what it’s like to live life as a married man. He and new wife Lauren Swanson surprised fans late last month by getting married in Arkanas , not long after we were led to believe that the ceremony would be delayed until December. So, is this union everything Josiah thought and hoped it would be? Yes, he tells the aforementioned tabloid. Interviewed together for one of the first times as husband and wife by Us Weekly, Lauren and Josiah say they are “loving every minute” of wedded bliss, adding simply: “Time has flown by.” That must mean they’re having fun, based on a certain classic saying. Duggar and Swanson exchanged vows at at John Brown University Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs. Unlike other members of Josiah’s famous family, he didn’t reveal the wedding date ahead of time, leaving followers guessing and wondering just when the twosome would make their romance official. That is, when they would kiss for the first time, per Duggar family dating rules. “What a joy it is to be husband and wife!” Josiah and Lauren told People Magzine at the time, adding to this publication: “We are so thankful the Lord has brought us to this place and we can’t wait to begin our journey as husband and wife!” The wedding was actually officiated by Lauren’s father, Dwain Swanson, while Lauren was accompanied by eight bridesmaids. It was a beautiful scene, said everyone in attendance on this special day. For weeks prior to their wedding, rumors circulated that Swanson might be pregnant . This would a bit scandalous under any circumstance, to be expecting prior to tying the knot…, but for the Duggars?!?  Engaging in premarital sex is basically the biggest sin one can commit. As of this writing, however, neither Lauren nor Josiah has confirmed (or denied) this pressing piece of chatter. Lauren and Josiah started courting in January and got engaged in March, at the exact spot where her parents were engaged, interestingly enough. Since their nuptials, the famous pair have turned its attention to making plans for the future. One has to imagine that an impending baby will be announced some time very soon, perhaps as soon as you read this. “It’s been especially fun to simply work on setting up our house together and just settle into life,” the couple told Us, concluding: “We’re enjoying dreaming and thinking of the future together.” The new season of Counting On premieres on TLC Monday, July 30th at 9/8c. Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson: Inside Their Scandalous Love Story

Sometime in the near future, Josiah Duggar will marry Lauren Swanson . As for exactly when the couple will say “I do” … well, the Duggars are keeping that information under their hats. Why? Well, they would have us believe it's because they don't want obsessive fans crashing the party. But fans think there's something much more sinister going on here. So join us as we take a deep dive into the most scandalous Duggar courtship to date and try to sort out the mystery that is Josiah and Lauren's romance: 1. Young Love Josiah and Lauren reportedly hit it off immediately and began talking marriage just days after their courtship began back in January. 2. International Intrigue Rumors of Josiah and Lauren’s courtship began when Swanson was spotted traveling with the Duggar clan during their trip to Australia. The couple announced their courtship shortly after returning to the States. 3. Making It Official Of course, fans couldn’t really be sure this thing was for real until the family released one of their traditional welcoming videos in which Jim Bob and Michelle do all the talking, and it’s mostly about Jesus. 4. Keeping Up Appearances At this point, Josiah and Lauren’s courtship appeared to be very similar to the Duggar romances that preceded it. Of course, there were already some key differences. 5. Kate Middleton Baby Bump Watch: It’s Pretty Big!

Earlier this month,  Prince William shaved his head . And we’re being generous when we say most observers are not big fans of the Royal Hunk’s new look. As always, however, it’s a very different story when the topic turns to William’s wife and  her  most recent appearance. Having just entered her third trimester, Kate Middleton kicked off a four-day tour of Sweden and Norway this week. And she did so with a style! As you can see above and below, Middleton can’t hide her growing baby bump any longer, not that she’d ever want to do so, of course. This isn’t Kylie Jenner we’re talking about here. Kate’s pregnancy isn’t a secret nor is it anything to be ashamed of. Happy to share her miraculous news and expecting state with an adoring public, Middleton joined William on the ice in Stockholm on Tuesday to take part on the sport of bandy hockey. Yes, this is a real sport. You can Google it. Middleton even walked on to the ice to knock some pucks into a goal, but there was never any concern about the beauty falling and injuring herself. Organizers of the event laid out an actual red carpet on which she could stand while she played. Insiders say Kate and Williams shared some hot chocolate with school children at the gathering and were then given their own bandy hockey jerseys. Later on in the day, Middleton (who may or may not be expecting twins ) sat for a lunch at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. It was hosted by King Carl KVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia and other attendees included Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel. At one point, all three couples came together for a rare, giant royal photo op in one of the beautiful palace drawing rooms. We don’t have the picture for you here, but Middleton was wearing the same green dress you see above for the snapshot. Kate and William will be welcoming their third child in April. The exact due date has not yet been confirmed. According to a Royal spokesman, Middleton plans on only skipping one event while in Norway in order to rest. Other than that, she will be an active participant alongside William, proving once again what we’ve known for ages. This really is Kate Middleton’s world. She’s the most beloved female on the planet. To basically every single one of you? We're guessing no one out there used the tactic employed by Reddit user “ThankCod” in order to get her revenge? Hillary Scott Welcomes Twin Daughters!

A couple of years ago, Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott opened up about her miscarriage , confessing that she had struggled to move forward after such a tragic loss. Last year, she revealed wonderful news — she’s pregnant again! With twins, no less. Now, Hillary Scott has given birth, and she’s taken to social media to share the wonderful news with her fans and followers. No, Lady Antebellum didn’t take home yet another Grammy Award on Sunday. But that’s probably just fine for HIllary Scott, and not just because she already has three. No, Hillary Scott gave birth in the wee hours of Monday morning. She shared this joyous news with fans, who’ve known for a while that she and her husband, Chris Tyrell, are expecting their second and third children. She’s been using the #waitingonthetwins tag for a while on Instagram. While she hasn’t yet posted a photo of her twin daughters, she announced the birth with a photo: In the captions, Hillary wrote: “Our family is thankful and proud to announce the arrival of our precious baby girls.” That’s great news! “They were born in the early hours of January 29th, 2018.” Awwww! “And we can’t wait to share more about them in the days to come.” No photos yet and still no names, but it sounds like they have plans to share those details soon. Hillary Scott also writes: “Thank you to everyone who prayed and prayed for these little ladies, and thank you Lord for healthy babies. #twins” It’s always a relief to give birth to healthy babies, particularly when there are potential complications. (Twins come with twice the birthing risks, folks; some people had twins they never got to meet). For Hillary Scott and Chris Tyler, however, the relief must have been magnified. Because a few years ago, Hillary suffered a miscarriage. “This is something that is not talked about very often,” Hillary Scott said at the time. It’s true that there’s an awkward culture of silence around miscarriages. It may be that people just don’t know what to say. One minute, a couple is happily preparing for their family to be larger. The next … they aren’t. “I also feel that there’s this pressure that you’re supposed to be able to snap your fingers and continue to walk through life like it never happened.” Of course. Recovery is complicated, and everyone recovers from grief and loss at their own pace. In 2013, Hillary Scott gave birth to her first child . The couple’s daughter, Eisele Kaye, is currently 4-and-a-half years old (those halves count when you’re that young!).  Though she was probably too young to really wrap her head around her mother’s miscarriage (though, sometimes, people don’t give children enough credit), she’ll be 5 this year, and is certainly old enough to be excited about being a big sister. Congratulations to Hillary and Chris and Eisele and to their two beautiful new additions to the household.

Josiah Duggar: Rumors of Gay Affair Resurface Following Courtship Announcement

Earlier this month, we learned that Josiah Duggar is courting Lauren Swanson . The couple shared the news with fans in a video message posted on Facebook, and both seemed positively giddy about the process. What’s not to love about getting to know one another in the early stages of what the Duggars describe as “dating with a purpose”? Not much. As a result, news of a Duggar courtship is always greeted with excitement from the family’s legion of obsessives. In this case, however, there’s been a pervasive sense of deja vu sweeping across the family’s fan pages. The reason, of course, is that Josiah has been down this road before. Yes, back in 2015,  Josiah courted Marjorie Jackson , but in an unprecedented move, the couple parted ways just a few weeks after their relationship went public. Five of Josiah’s siblings are married and every one of them wed the first person they courted. Josiah and Marjorie parted ways with no explanation, which naturally led to speculation that they broke up for reasons that the Duggars would prefer to keep quiet. The split took place at a time when the Josh Duggar sex scandals were still making tabloid headlines, but Marjorie would have known about that situation before she entered the relationship. Duggar fans ran wild in their effort to come up with a reason why these two might have broken tradition by ending their relationship. The best they were able to come up with by way of an “explanation” was that … Josiah is secretly gay. Some even went so far as to insist he was caught carrying on an affair with another young man, which prompted Marjorie to end the relationship. These conspiracy theorists cite two pieces of “evidence,” one of which is patently ridiculous. The other might –  might  – serve as an indication that Josiah engaged in some sort of sexual behavior that the Duggars would deem unacceptable. First, the absurd: Some Duggar fans believe Josiah is gay because he often wears pastel-colored clothing. Yes, that’s seriously a theory that grown-up adults have espoused on Duggar message boards. Like we said, not exactly rooted in hard science … no stereotype is, but this one in particular is just grasping at straws. The other theory, however, might have some legs. Around the time that his courtship with Marjorie ended, Josiah attended an Institute for Basic Life Principles cadet training program. This was reportedly not unlike the sex addiction treatment that Josh attended after getting caught cheating on his wife.
