Paramount Pictures announced this week that Mission: Impossible 5 will be released on December 25 of next year. Mission: Impossible 5 Confirmed! Cruise will return to the franchise as Ethan Hunt, while Christopher McQuarrie will direct the film and Drew Pearce will write it. The previous movie in this franchise, 2011’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol , earned very positive reviews, along with $694 million around the globe.
