Brooke Mueller: Off to Mexican Rehab!

It took being snapped with pot on the sidewalk , followed by an embarrassing confrontation with a stewardess on an airplane, but Brooke Mueller is headed back to rehab. Sources tell TMZ that Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife is trying something unique this time around: she’ll spend seven days in a facility in Mexico. The reason? It offers a drug that is meant to help her kick her drug habit. Will the 16th rehab trip be the charm for Brooke Mueller? Illegal in America, Ibogaine is a substance extracted from an iboga plant. Some experts believe it rewires one’s addictions to alcohol, cocaine, methadone and heroin. Brooke is reportedly referring to the program as “extreme” and she’s confident it will work. Sounds a bit loony and desperate to us, but those descriptions also apply Mueller. And, hey, it could be worse. She could be seeing Dr. Drew instead.

Danielle Doty Crowned Miss Teen USA!

The Miss Teen USA pageant crowned a new, gorgeous titleholder last night in Danielle Doty, an 18-year-old hailing from Harlingen, Texas. Doty beat out Audra Mari of North Dakota to win the title and will take over from the reigning Miss Teen USA, Kamie Crawford of Maryland. Alexis Swanstrom (Miss Teen California), Taylor Clark (Miss Teen Kansas) and Sydnee Stottlemyre (Miss Teen Missouri) rounded out the top five. The prestigious beauty pageant, which streamed live online, did not take place in the United States, but rather at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. Danielle Doty is the second Texan to be named Miss Teen USA. Christie Lee Woods, who later starred on The Amazing Race , won the title in 1996. Other notable Miss Teen USA title holders include Bridgette Wilson-Sampras (1990), Vanessa Minnillo (1998) and Tami Farrell (2003), who later went on to become Miss California after Carrie Prejean stripped and was stripped of her crown. Alyssa Campanella was named Miss USA last month.

Harry Potter took down more than just Voldemort this weekend. The final installment of this beloved franchise set numerous box office records. Among them: The biggest-ever midnight gross ($43.5 million). The biggest-ever opening day/single day haul ($92.1 million). The biggest-ever IMAX opening ($15.5 million). The biggest-ever opening three-day total ($168.8 million). The movie also presented us with the very first look at The Dark Knight Rises trailer . Eclipse Just Misses Box Office Record

So close. Eclipse came ever so close to knocking Spider-Man 2 from its top perch and establishing a new box office record for a film’s first six days in release. Alas, the third Twilight Saga installment will have to settle for a mere $175 million in domestic earnings so far. That figure actually falls short of New Moon ‘s opening six-day haul, as it grossed $178 million in less than a week. Still, Eclipse has set a quartet of benchmarks: Biggest midnight gross of all-time. Biggest Wednesday ever. Widest release in cinematic history. Loudest screams from fans in attendance. Despite a mixed bag of reviews , the movie has made over $275 million worldwide. While Toy Story 3 continues to bring in the bucks, we’d be surprised if Eclipse wasn’t the highest-grossing film of the summer when all is said and done. Instead of staring each other down, Jacob and Edward should really be high-fiving in the photo above.
